This girl done grewed up 🥹

My Aglaonema is one of my most thriving plants, and she I’ve not had to do too much.

Also, somehow, most of what I’ve read about aglaonemas doesn’t match my experience with mine at all.

For example, I read that aglaonema flowers should be cut off because they “drain the plant’s energy,” but that honestly wasn’t my experience at all. I left my aglaonema’s flower alone until it naturally wilted, and throughout that time, she kept pushing out new leaves that were even bigger while still blooming.

I read that they prefer loose, well-draining soil, but mine is planted in a mix of dried cow dung and loam with zero aeration materials. It also takes quite a while for water to drain through. The only thing I’m careful about is letting the soil dry out completely between waterings. And somehow, my aglaonema is one of the most thriving plants I own.

I do apply this seaweed liquid fertilizer I got from a neighbor who produces, but before yesterday, it’s been over two months since I applied the liquid fertilizer to my aglaonema. I just wish I can crack the code on what it is I am doing that is causing her to shoot bigger leaves.

ID for this beauty my collegue has brought into office

She kinda looks like Silver Blue to me but the midrib is green instead of yellowish, and she also has a distinct pale army-like pattern. I would love to hear everyone’s suggestions

UPDATE: case solved, it’s an aglaonema jubilee

Is this a flower coming in my aglaonema golden Madonna or is it a leaf? There is another leaf/flower coming right beside it as well!

This aglaonema is growing like crazy right now. I've had it for a few months and already this particular individual plant has grown 2 new leaves (the ones beside the bulb) and now this bulb which I think may be a flower? Then beside it if you look closely (3rd pic) ANOTHER leaf tip or flower is coming. It's just shooting everything out!

I want to cut any flowers that come because I read it's best to cut them so the plant doesn't put resources into the flower and more into leaves. I don't care for the flower, I want nice leaves. Is this a flower or a leaf? I forget what a new leaf looks like and I can't tell if it's a leaf thats about to unfurl or flower..

Hello does any one know the names of these aglaos!? I’ve scored them at Home Depot and they don’t have any ID…

Keep the flower?

I'm new(ish) to house plants. I bought this on a whim today, thinking it was a Peace Lily. I'm now reading up on proper care. Do I leave the "flower"? Also, can it tolerate a grow light? I have no windows that give natural light (I live in a very hot climate in California so entire house is shaded year round). I placed it with a moth orchid & PPP under a full spectrum grow light. I can move it to a spot with indirect light. Thanks for any and all advice.

Tell me I don't need it

EDIT I made a new post of the one I got and with a question.

I'm at Lowe's currently and just seen this beauty. I thought I wanted the Silver Bay until I see this.

Is This Enough Light?

Here she is! This is the west side of my house and was just taken. There is also a covered porch keep the full sun from coming in. It is brighter earlier in the day. I have an East window in my bedroom but I wanted it in the living room for color.

What kind of soil? Watering? Does it need silica (I have it already)?Anything special?

Sun burn? Or something more concerning

She currently lives on my south facing window (uk)

Aglaonema ID?

She was labelled as "Aglaonema Mix", any idea of the variety?

Poor thing has severe root rot, I hope I can save her...

Help! Leaves are losing the dark color

New leaves grow and roots are healthy. But the leaves are paler than when I bought it.
How can I make them look bright? I live in India and water it once in three days. Kept it in room and move it near window(indirect bright sunlight) twice a week.

Is this mix good?

Idk if its not too well draining. I don't want it to dry out too fast while being slightly moist. Any thoughts?

I added: pumice, pine bark, peat based soil and a bit of composted pine bark (i sifted it from other soil) and a handful of zeolite

Are these 2 the same plant

Are these 2 the same aglaonemas? I'm considering combining for plant realty space? The bigger plant had a fungus when I bought but since then it's cured and spit out a flower and many new leaves growing in. The little one grows a new leaf, then a leaf dies. I'm curious if the same I'll combine if they are, if not i dont wanna damage the bigger one. I thought the small one was a King Red originally, only found one once at Lowes but it also died of fungus and root rot. That's why I always change soil cause peat keeps roots too wet

ID help

I bought this beautiful Aglaonema, but in the shop it was labeled “Aglaonema mix” as always. I think it might be Aglaonema Pink Emerald, but I’m not sure. What do you think this Aglaonema could be?

u/xenoryme — 12 days ago

Anybody know what type this is?

Just got this one in the mail. Seller didn’t list what type it was and hasn’t been very responsive to messages.

Here it comes!

I walked downstairs to give everyone a good watering and found my Black Maroon Aglaonema is producing an inflorescence! I got this little beauty almost 2 years ago from the clearance shelf at Kroger. I wish I would have taken a picture of it in the beginning because it truly looked like a goner. I'm so happy she is doing so well now!

Red Stripe sport variegation?

I’ve had this plant for about 3 months and 2 newest leaves have variegation. Is this common for aglaonema?

Agleonema is suffering

It already lost a lot of leaves. I thought I over watered it and reduced the water but it is not looking good. Is there anything I should be doing to give it a boost. It gets one to two hours of afternoon sun. It's in indirect sun all day long other than that. Thanks in advance.
