This rack says it fits my car on Yakima site. It's the Timberline towers and my car is 2015 Toyota RAV4. It says the line it up in the middle on top. My side rails are pointed on the top so I just put the point in the middle groove on the towers. Does this look all right? Just want to make sure before I tightening it all down

Is this a flower coming in my aglaonema golden Madonna or is it a leaf? There is another leaf/flower coming right beside it as well!

This aglaonema is growing like crazy right now. I've had it for a few months and already this particular individual plant has grown 2 new leaves (the ones beside the bulb) and now this bulb which I think may be a flower? Then beside it if you look closely (3rd pic) ANOTHER leaf tip or flower is coming. It's just shooting everything out!

I want to cut any flowers that come because I read it's best to cut them so the plant doesn't put resources into the flower and more into leaves. I don't care for the flower, I want nice leaves. Is this a flower or a leaf? I forget what a new leaf looks like and I can't tell if it's a leaf thats about to unfurl or flower..

Do you guys have locks for your roof racks? Have you or anyone you know ever had a rack stolen? Do you keep the rack on all summer? Just got a roof rack.

I just got the Yakima Timberline towers and core bars https://yakima.com/products/timberline-system . I live rurally and don't drive a ton. I dont kayak a ton either at the moment, maybe 5 times a summer max. Should I leave my rack on the whole summer and take them off on my last kayak of the year? Should I get locks? How risky is it to not have locks on roof rack ? Do they get stolen often?

What do you guys do?

What affordable cam straps to get for Kayak + roof rack? I dont kayak a ton, is it too risky to just get cheap amazon ones?

I got a roof rack and a pungo 125 kayak. I broke one of my cam straps last year by driving over it accidentally, so I need a new one, but I guess they only come in packs of 2-4. What brand should I get ? does it matter? Can I just get a cheapy one from amazon? Any budget cam strap recommendations?

I need help with how to trade at all time highs.... I feel like I have good ideas on when to sell, but then I miss tons of gains.

Ok so I have a good amount of NVDA and AMD and I'm making a shitload on money recently. Like more than I know what to do with. I dont know when to sell and take profits. I took a little profit on my AMD a little bit ago, then it rocketed, same with NVDA in the past I take profit then it rockets. I just dont know when to find the ceiling of a stock. I use RSI to try to gauge it, when its over 70 I usually start getting pretty nervous of a collapse, but sometimes it pumps constantly over 70 RSI. AMD right now is above 70 RSI for a while on the daily chart. There are no resistance levels after all time high which I use a lot in my trading, and its just difficult for me to find the ceiling and I seem to pull out too early then miss tons of gains. I want to lock in good profit near the top. What do you guys use to find the top?

I also try to stick by the famous quote be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy... Well right now market is extremely greedy and I'm getting a little fearful, but I dont know when I should sell and get out of this! I was going to wait until NVDA earnings and probably sell a bunch then.

AMD I'm not too sure of. Its kinda looking a bit weaker now, I kinda want to sell soon.

Is this deshedding undercoat rake good for an Aussie? It has sharpened inside edge to cut mats or tangles.

I bought this but was worried about the sharpened inside edge of the rake. Most of them I see have sharpened inner edge. Is this fine and safe to use for the fur? Also the small fine comb at the front of the rake what would you use that for? It's mine finer teeth than all my other metal combs.

Need some advice for old house floor joists please! Trying to just figure out my plan.

So where I cut out was a very old (100+ yrs old) big wood beam/log that was all rotted, squeeky, squishy. So I'm taking it out and replacing with new joists.

My plan was to cut back to that blue current joist, then rebuild right beside it with ripped down 2x12's to the proper height (like 10 1/4" or whatever) so I can put 3/4" plywood on top to match the height of the current floor.

I am going to sit the 2x10 1/4's on top of the concrete foundation, but I'm wondering what would be the best way? Should I just get pressure treated is that enough, or should I get some sort of other barrier for the concrete to wood contact? Also, is that enough contact area for the joists to sit on the concrete?

Then on those big wood sill plates I was going to use something similar to this, some sort of L angle bracket https://www.strongtie.com/reinforcingandskewableangles_anglesandplates/l_angle/p/l to attach the sill to the joist sitting on the concrete. That will keep it in place and the load will be directly on the sill and the foundation all the way to the top 3/4" plywood. None of that old material with the 1" planks or anything will be on my new joists.

Does that sound like a good plan?

I bought a jewelers loupe from Amazon. $10 CAD. https://a.co/d/05gxnKHW

I used it with my phone to take these pictures but not necessary to use phone as well. If you just look with your eye you will see all the pests. You can get some crazy zoom if you zoom your phone in as well. You can get lenses for your phone that do the same thing but it's much more expensive. The jewelers loupe is also nice because it's compact and hand held so you can look closely with your eye.

I couldn't see any of these spider mites with my bare eyes and I didn't think my plant had pests. It just looked like dust. I wouldn't have treated this plant if I didn't get this item and they would have multiplied and I would have been at risk of spreading to my other plants. There are only a few thankfully on my plant and they are pretty small so I think I can get rid of them quickly I hope.

I use this hold trick to check the condition of my dog's teeth from time to time. Thought someone else may be interested in trying to use this as well. It's handy if your dog doesn't like to open their mouth and allows you to see all the teeth easily with the ball in there. Can also use a stick toy or whatever toy to open their mouth.

The video I used to teach it is this one from Kikopup: https://youtu.be/9yiKg783-Yw?t=0

I used a plastic yogurt container lid to train it. I think it's best to use an item that isn't a toy and an item that they aren't likely to want to grab and start playing and tugging hard with. Something kinda neutral and random but that is still interesting. I then just kept increasing duration until he now holds it until I tell him to drop it. He can also walk with the item in his mouth. For that I just added a few steps at first then asked to drop, then added more steps and asked to drop, then walked around the house before asking to drop. He got the point pretty fast to not drop it until I tell him to, then he gets reward.

If I use some ardex will it crack if the floor isn't super rigid? I live in an old house and the floor is decently strong and rigid but there is a little flex here and there. It's not squishy and completely trash but the floor slightly flexes when u walk in some spots. Would that crack all the ardex? And then what would happen when it cracks? I would be using 5mm glue down vinyl plank. Would the cracked pieces start moving around under the glue down and show stuff through? Or will it just crack and stay in place?

I have a moisture meter but I'm worried to keep sticking it in and damaging baby roots. I can't really stick my finger in either cuz it's really small. The weight is hard to tell because it's weight very little wet or dry. I'm not sure how to water this and how to gauge when it needs water without damaging the roots. I really want this plant to grow and do well because I love high veriagatiion marble pothos

Where the picture is being taken I want to add more joists going the opposite way of these. I think whoever did the reno jacked up the floor then put the joists in and lowered the weight on it. I'm going to be adding some more joists because I'm replacing some flooring and doing some demo. How can I add joists on top of this beam and secure it to the beam? It's a multi ply dimensional lumber beam. Is there some sort of Simpson strong tie that can help hold them in place when they are sitting on top? I know the weight of the floor will mainly hold them and I can toe nail them in to the beam but thought there could be a bracket that can help.
