Made air fryer chicken leg quarters

I usually stick with drumsticks but my grocery order sent me chicken leg quarters. I followed the same recipe I found online (I'll add the link at the bottom- it's from the Big Man's World blog) for chicken drumsticks, increased the brown sugar by a teaspoon, and added an extra tablespoon of oil.

Unlike other air fryer recipes, I like how they recommend oiling after adding the seasoning- I think it makes a huge difference.

Here's the full recipe-

  • 3 chicken leg quarters, skin on
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Preheat the air fryer to 400, mix the spices and baking powder together, and sugar. Rub over all the chicken pieces on all sides. Drizzle oil.

Air fry for 12 minutes, flip, and air fry for another 8 minutes.

Now I'm going to purposely order chicken leg quarters haha!

If you want to make the drumsticks (like I thought I was doing) this is the original recipe I follow- https://thebigmansworld.com/air-fryer-chicken-drumsticks/

Roasted makhana in the air fryer 6 minutes, way better than store-bought

Used to buy the flavored fox nut packs until I realized how fast these are to make at home. Sharing in case anyone else snacks on these.

**Air Fryer Roasted Makhana & Peanuts**

Ingredients:

- Makhana (fox nuts) – 1.5 cups

- Raw peanuts – ½ cup

- Ghee, melted – ½ tsp

- Black pepper, roasted cumin powder, salt – to taste

Method:

  1. Toss makhana and peanuts with melted ghee and seasoning.

  2. Air fry at 160°C for 5–6 min, shaking once at the halfway mark.

  3. Cool 2 min before eating — they crisp up more as they cool.

Keep the temp low makhana is light enough that it burns fast above 170°C. Learned that one the hard way.

I tried different recipes and I have 100 pure veg indian airfryer cookbook which is best if you interested to see that then please let me know...

i made chocolate chip baked oats in the air fryer and now i'm eating cake for breakfast every day

tastes like a warm chocolate chip muffin but it's oats, a banana and an egg blended together. no flour, no sugar besides a spoon of honey, and it's set and golden in 20 minutes. the banana has to be actually ripe though, that's where all the sweetness comes from

Crispy Chicken Thighs Recipe

Yield: 4 Servings

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (205°C). Lightly spray the basket with oil to prevent sticking.

Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel—this helps get that crispy skin we all want. Next, toss them in a bowl with the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Make sure they’re nice and coated, and don’t be shy with the seasoning, add more if you want.

Arrange the chicken skin side up in a single layer in the basket. No need to overcrowd the basket; you want them to have room to crisp up perfectly on all sides.

Air fry them for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping them halfway through. The thighs may take more or less time to cook depending on how big they are. You’ll know they’re done when they have a nice, caramelized skin and an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. You can pair it with a veggie and a carb to round out the meal.

i made fried rice in the air fryer and i'm never dragging out the wok again

juicy chicken, crispy edges on the rice, and that soy sauce garlic hit in every bite. cold day old rice is the whole secret here, fresh rice just turns to mush. everything goes straight into my air fryer’s glass bowl so there's one dish to wash at the end

Air Fryer Char Siu (redux)

I haven't used maltose in a very long time. Totally worth it.

Also supplemented the jar sauce with more red fermented bean curd.

Just published my first cookbook 100 pure vegetarian air fryer recipes

Wanted to share here since this sub's been useful while I figured out the KDP process. Published "The Pure Vegetarian Air Fryer Cookbook" this week — 100 recipes, no meat/egg/fish anywhere in it, organized into breakfast/snacks/mains/sweets, each with exact temps and cook times.

Biggest lesson from the process: got flagged early on for submitting two near-duplicate versions to "test" titles — turns out KDP treats that as duplicate content regardless of intent. Good reminder to just pick one and commit.

Happy to answer questions if anyone's working on a cookbook or food-niche book themselves..

It's totally free on Amazon Kdp.. If interested comment for link..

Has Anyone Done Pork Chops In The Air Fryer?

I was just gifted an air fryer and I want to make pork chops this weekend. Does anyone have any recipes or instructions or tips? I know this sounds like a hella basic question but I've never used an air fryer and I don't want to mess them up. Thanks for all your help and happy Friday.

ETA, thank you, everybody. They turned out awesome and were a hit. Thanks for all the recipe suggestions also. I will definitely give a lot of them a try. I also loved the easy clean up. I love my deep fryer, but it's time to let it go because I hate cleaning it.

Thanks again!!💜💜

Any tips for chickpeas?

Want to try crispy seasoned chickpeas in the airfryer. I know this has been discussed but wanted input from anyone that has tried them and that know any additional tips/tricks to get them completely dehydrated and crunchy. Also curious for any seasonings/flavors you guys like and storage tips 😁 thank you in advance!

I bought canned, I saw a lot of people saying fresh ones work out better so ill drain try them next time especially if these dont work out. Also saw that many toast them in fryer to dry them out before seasonings and oil then putting back in.

Made a Cajun Garlic Butter Whole Chicken in My Air Fryer

Tried a whole Cajun chicken in the air fryer and it came out ridiculously juicy.

I made a homemade Cajun seasoning, mixed half with garlic butter and worked that under the skin, then mixed the other half with a little oil to make a Cajun paste for the outside.

Cooked it breast-side down first, flipped it, basted it with some of the drippings, then finished breast-side up until it hit 165°F.

I’ll put the full recipe in the first comment!
