I got banned for saying that posts supposedly from Gaza soliciting donations are fake
I feel like getting banned is all to easy so I’m very curious
My friend got reported for things that were stupid political shit talk(not gonna talk about that but those were not his fault and he appealed and all appeals went nowhere) and had his account permanently banned for an alleged ban evasion despite the ban mentioned being lifted, he wanted to open a new account with NO intentions on ever going on that sub ever again, he also had an alt account that never touched said sub and that got banned too, he tried on a device I owned and then put that account since it was clear he couldn't create accounts on his phone and the account got banned less than a day later despite not breaking any rules, is there any hope for him? he was a mod of a few subreddits too
I got my post removed from r/facepalm and I am not allowed to do anything about it according to the bot. This is the first and only time I was going to post it and it was instantly deleted.
I am confused as heck here. Was it because the post featured an AI-Generated image that I was literally gifted by my mother?
I had found a lot of help in posts but the mods were taking them down so fast. You had to be online all the time to read them before they were deleted.
I made this comment in hopes of supporting my fellow redditors and people who got their posts deleted who were just trying to help.
Perma ban. My first!
So for full context, I was banned from the Gangstalking reddit for spam, hate speech and being a troll. When I did NO such things. I posted about it on the sub Mods Kill Reddit and a whole bunch of people, who I believe are fake accounts all ganged up and attacked me.
It was so bizarre, they definitely are being paid by someone to do this. My friend just messaged me and he said that they banned him too, for the same bullshit reasons.
There's something suspicious going on here. UPDATE: So they are STILL attacking my profile, they've been doing it for hours. These people are definitely being paid to do this, its crazy. I've never seen anything like this.
I could report it to Reddit but I have no idea if they can do anything. So I just checked and they deleted all their nasty comments - weird.
1st of all I was NOT spamming, I literally was just posting about my story. 2nd of all they NEVER warned me about anything, they did NOT send me any warning messages. So when they say we warned you, they are lying out of their ass. They did however send me a DISGUSTING message saying that I am spreading hate speech and that I'm a troll.
I literally did NO such thing.
Anyway, I could care less. The Mod is a power abusing scumbag. Fuck him.
I got banned from ohno consequences b/c apparently I was brigading? I did not know that's what that is. They reposted from another subreddit and I guess it was an older post anyway (my ban said the last comment was over 50+ days old) and I and others posted on that original post instead of the ONC post. So yeah, permanent ban on something I didn't realize I was doing wrong. And also today I learned what brigading is, I guess.
I was banned from r/notmycat with no warning (no prior ones either), no mod comment, no reason and now the mod team won’t reply. I’ve made several posts there before with no issue. I checked time and time again and I don’t see any rule I broke.
This is the second time I’m banned from a cat sub with no proper explanation. It’s so annoying!!!
There is a difference in a low-effort AI generate slop and some designed material that is complemented by AI. The first image is the final product, the second image shows what is NOT AI generates (Only the image that I removed was AI).
I get it that AI is sometimes getting used in a wrong way, and people are getting sick of it. But if you use AI to help improve something I see that with different eyes.
And the worst part is that the image was just a hook to call people to talk about the inevitability o AI becoming Skynet. Instead, it was a discussion on how not to violate the pure and pristine rules of the sub.
I thought subs were interested in people posting content, but it seems control and rules (which are necessary) are more important then content.
So I posted about the false ban and why it was a complete false ban. These strange looking accounts are all coming on my page to attack me, I legit have no idea who these people are or where they are coming from. They keep defending the Mod and are attacking me.
Who tf are these people??? They all have the same monikers and like no profile pictures and no information.
I am BLOCKING all of them. Super weird and creepy.
Yep. After posting about my disabilities to a certain subreddit for months, they finally banned me entirely.
So I had been posting there for awhile, and every time I got unsolicited advice people got nasty after I said 'my post is not for advice'. To the point where my posts got locked and then taken down because people mass reported to the mods.
Well, one of the mods was trying to talk to me about what I personally wanted them to do about it - they did remove comments and the like when they popped up, but couldn't keep my posts up because of how many people were mass reporting them within 24 hours.
I kept replying to them that I don't expect them to nuke every negative commenter from the subreddit, if anything I was able to deal with it myself because I could just block every single user myself with no issue. But I made it clear that them allowing this to happen at all to begin with was not a good look for them.
My last response on that subreddit was me warning someone that if you post on there, you will most likely get a lot of negative comments if you say that you aren't looking for advice. And a mod jumped in, locked the entire thread, then banned me after replying to my comment.
(for context, the post was "I love it when stories get told through yt thumbnails"

This is the only messages I could find between us. Pretty sure was banned like 7 years ago, I can’t even find the message or email bc my reddit account is so old. I pissed off awkard the turtle and was banned in like 10 subs they moderated but this one won’t say why I was banned, but banned me bc they told me why.
I mostly use this account to vent about things in my life. I made a post the other day on /vent about how I was upset that nobody ever wants to hang out with me because I’m socially awkward and the mods removed the post. No reason given. Then today I posted another rant about how everyone around me gets to go on trips and vacations while I’m stuck being home alone because I don’t have friends to do things with. That post was also removed and I was permanently banned. Again no reason given. I read the rules and nowhere did it say I couldn’t vent about being lonely and missing out on life. I’m so sick of power hungry mods.
We have alot of posts here talking about bans that have taken place but what a post where we can talk about bans that have not happened yet?
For example if someone breaks the same site rule repeatedly despite being asked to address it. Should they be banned AxB number of days where A is a static number we vote on and B is the number of times they broke the rule?
What if they break multiple rules or don't care for the rules?
I invite you to engage in a brainstorm discussion of approaches to bans that are healthy, warranted and civil.
Turns out pointing out that AI use steals data, steals jobs, pollutes living places and overall makes life more miserable for the youth of today and tomorrow on a sub about making the world better for the youth gets you banned
Fuck me for caring I guess, they’re ain’t no other sub about it and I’m too lazy to create an alternative so, considering that the posts boil down to « Can’t create Google account before turning 18 :(((» anyway, fuck them kids
I just shared my story about what happened to me, and I asked the Community questions. People really liked my posts and we were having really deep conversations.
I posted more details about my story, because people were asking me questions about it. I also asked some interesting questions which some people responded to.
All my posts were different from each other, and were on topic. I did not post the same message over and over in rapid succession and I did not harass or attack anyone - so it was NOT spamming.
They kept removing and blocking my posts. I asked the Mod what was wrong with my posts, why are they repeatedly censoring them? They then immediately banned me without any kind of warning.
A temp ban for 3 days because I was "spamming, posting hate speech and trolling". I did NOT do any of these things. The person that runs that subreddit, meaning the Mod is power tripping.
Its complete and total abuse of power. Because of all these problems, I have mostly switched to Discord. There are so many problems with this website, including the power tripping Mods.
