My mother's tv
She wants to just trash this beast but I feel like this would have some value. Am I wrong? I'm having a hard time searching cause the serial number tells me it's a remote not a tv lol. It does work

I’m trying to find out any info about this console TV. Seems like it’s a console edition of the SR 2000 Stereo Sound TV, produced by Sears, Roebuck & Co. with the model number being 564-4812265, serial no. V6310201410, something like that, manufactured July 1986… this was my great-grandparents’ TV.
Can’t find anything about it online… must’ve been a limited edition run in the wood console form. Would be nice to know how I can rig it to run HDMI with my phone & tablet, I do have RCA to HDMI conversion modules but I tried one and it didn’t work. Just a black screen. Any advice?
Cool I guess
I got a Hyundai Q770 that has horizontal buzz on the display and is making this additional buzzing sound.
Any ideas if it's fixable?
sony cpd-g220, 96khz horizontal scan rate, only 5k hours of use
My 26th and last CRT, a Panasonic with its original remote! It just so happens to also be in really good cosmetic and working condition!
Would $100 be a reasonable asking price for a View Sonic Ultrabrite A90f+? Shell has a some scuffs and general wear but fully functioning monitor.
I've had it for quite awhile now. Had intentions to turn it into a little gaming rig, but it's just been taking up space. I'd rather see if someone local can use it rather than have it sit around until I end up throwing it out.
It would be pick up only since I don't feel like lugging it around, so I want to make sure the price is fair for it to end up at a good home.
Got this thing for free. Its amazing and everything works. But when we went to pick it up the entire back piece of the shell crumbled on our hands. Completely disintegrated, totally brittle…. Would absolutely LOOOVE to find someone who has one of these not working who would be down to sell/donate the back cover. Im located in LA area. Please holler if you have any leads.
Yesterday, I got this absolute unit of a 19" CRT monitor for absolutely free! Unfortunately, all it does upon powering on is make a degaussing noise, and it doesn't show any picture. I still think it was a really cool free find!
it was from EBAY, DELIVERED.
Bought as not powering on, fixed by a single capacitor from a flatscreen tv!?
beautiful.
Doing some cleaning, found this. Im finding stuff about 78i from goldstar online, but not this one. Is anyone able to tell me if these are any good? I dont currently have a cable to test if it works, but id like to know any info about this monitor and if its worth anything to anyone. Thanks!
Hi everybody! After diving into the world of retro hardware I’ve decided to pick up my first CRT. After doing a lot of research on what some of the best sets to look for are. I managed to find a Trinitron Flat screen second hand.
As I am only 27 I do not know a lot about the internals, mechanics or habits of these televisions. But am eager to learn. I’ve been seeing alot about convergence tuning. I was mainly curious if mine looked pretty good or not. Or if I should do anything to adjust it. I still need to get a remote to acsess the service menu. And have no clue what physical tuning or maintenance might look like. Any tips or overall knowledge on maintenance would be appreciated. My main goal is to keep and maintain it in the best possible condition, and hopefully be aware of any signs of future component failure. Thanks everybody!
I got a Sanyo TPM 2100 recently for a price so low that I couldn’t say no. I’ve always loved these tiny TVs and this is I believe my smallest with a close second going to a set that looks like binoculars that I’ve had for probably 15 years. I’m not even sure of the last time I saw a tiny CRT somewhere. The TV and radio work fine, the battery is long past dead, as is the LCD clock display, but I’m very happy with this fun new toy.
I was at an estate sale yesterday and saw this neat structure with a CRT built in. Obviously the basement has now been stripped of most everything but I can only imagine this was a really cool place to have friends over and hang out once upon a time.
