Google health not importing exercises and training from the Apple health app

It used to work until last week. Now the training and exercise page is just empty. I use an Apple Watch.
All switches are green on Apple health, so google health has access to all data. Tried to refresh several times and force close the app… nothing works.

Why don't I have a sleep score, even though my sleep duration is tracked? Interestingly, when I ask the AI assistant about my sleep score, it can actually tell me what it is.

Cancelled FitBit Premium today due to the update

I’ve had Fitbit premium for years and the Google Health App has convinced me to cancel my subscription after less than a week of usage. Why is the food log so terrible? I can’t even change the unit of measurement.
Gemini is a bunch of sycophantic AI slop that gives platitudes about a 10 minute walk. The app is virtually unusable now and I’m disgusted and disappointed. I hope they lose a lot of money over this because it’s awful, and we can’t even get the FitBit App back.

Google Health App on iPhone 17 pro; Apple Watch Series 6; Total Energy Burned not updating.

Total energy burned is flat 70 Cal per hour. It is not accounting calories burned during my exercise. It recon that exercise was done, it also recon the steps, but it will keep the calories burned constant at 70. Does anybody else have same issue ?

Google health app not syncing heart rate with Apple health workouts?

I train BJJ and i currently use a garmin HRM100 (chest strap heart rate monitor) to track my training sessions, and use the Fitbit air during day to day.

However, the google app isn’t reading any of my heart rate data during the session. Is there anyway to fix this or is it due to the app being new and buggy?

Ignore the kickboxing label, the app has no “BJJ” or “wrestling” workout so kickboxing is the next closest thing 😂

(Yes I given the app full permissions to read all data from my Apple health)

Why old map is not showing.

When you complete the run it shows the map and other details then you save is and open again or after sometimes boom map is gone and only details are there.

So old run map is not showing.

Im not a Fitbit user.

I tried this app for the 1st time.

Im a Strava user and started using health because it looked clean.

Loving my Fitbit Air so far

I’m a bit of a fitness tracker geek, having used Whoop, Oura 4, Ultrahuman Air, Amazfit, and now the new Fitbit Air.

I understand the new Google Health app is still buggy and lacks basic features like removing or editing timeline activities. However, knowing it’s being developed and updated gives me hope, especially since I really enjoy wearing the tracker itself. It’s so light and comfortable I forget about it throughout the day. This isn’t the case with Whoop 4 or even the Amazfit Helio strap (which is super accurate and robust but the app hasn’t won me over after all this time).

The Fitbit Air and Oura 4 sleep metrics are 99% on par. Interestingly, Fitbit also detected two naps this week that Oura missed, even though it usually does a great job.

External data like Strava and Apple Watch workouts took a while to appear in Google Health. I’m hopeful these bugs will be resolved within the next couple of months.

That’s it for now. How’s your experience been so far?

Literally lost after switching from FitBit app

  1. What happened to the daily cardio goal ? - the weekly one is not really useful to me, I want to know how Im doing day to day. There's no daily cardio tile...
  2. How to set goals ? I had cardio health as a goal in the Fitbit app. Do goals still exist ?
  3. Why does sleep have a massive section in the dashboard ? Not really useful to me.
  4. How to switch off the annoying movement reminder ? (I had it off in the Fitbit app).

Is Google Health + Pixel Watch Google's biggest win? (or the opposite?)

Im writing this just to try and understand what am I missing? I get all of the frustration with the bugs but they will be temporary.

My biggest problem with Fitbit was how "bland" it was, no advanced metrics or interpretation of them. It always seemed like it was targeted just for people going on walks, no amateur atheletes etc. If you wanted a bit more, then this is not your product, just get a whoop.

I like that Google took the risk of being innovative and bring something we havent seen before, an actually useful AI health integration. The fibit/pixel sensors are great if not the best at this point. Google has closed the gap with Strava by allowing to import also non-map activities, so you dont need a Garmin or AW anymore. The recovery score is also one of the few ones that make sense, also mention continous hr tracking to calculate cardio load (AW cant do this)

If we are speaking about a Pixel Watch for example, I cant think of any other tracker that can do all of the fitness tracking + whoop level of health analysis.

So what I see is the definite merge of a full fitness tracker with a full health tracker, you have all of the gadgets in one.

I think Google has won the hype game . I see tons of fitness influencers getting the Fitbit Air just for the shake of its simplicity and price. It has become like a "pop fitness tracker".

Again I understand the frustration with this being a "half baked" product, but for what Ive seen, its potential is great.

My experience with the new Fitbit Air in Qatar (And why you might want to skip it for now)

Hey everyone, sharing my thoughts on the new screenless Fitbit Air for anyone else in the region considering picking one up.

The Shipping & Logistics:
I was really excited for the new Google Health ecosystem, so I preordered the Fitbit Air from Amazon on May 19th. It just got delivered here to Qatar via UPS yesterday (May 30th). Shipping was smooth, but unfortunately, the setup experience wasn't.

The Hardware:
Physically, the device is honestly great. If you want something lightweight that you can just put on your wrist and forget about—especially during workouts, swimming, or sleep—the form factor is excellent. It’s tiny, comfortable, and the battery life seems solid out of the box.

The Software (The Major Catch):
As you probably know, the entire selling point of the Air—especially since it's screenless—is that it pairs with the new Google Health AI Coach to give you personalized breakdowns of your fitness and sleep data.
Well, if you are using it here in Qatar, the AI Coach simply does not work. Despite activating the Google Health Premium trial, the feature is completely geo-blocked. There's no official rollout date for our region yet, meaning the primary feature you’re paying a premium subscription for is completely useless right now.

Verdict:
If you just want a sleek, minimal tracker to pass raw data into your app, the hardware is beautiful. But if you preordered it expecting the full AI-coaching experience like I did, it’s incredibly frustrating to be locked out. And VPN/region changing workarounds are useless. I'd hold off until Google actually delivers on the "global" part of their software rollout.

Food logging SEVERE downgrade

Like many users, I am really disappointed with the Google Health changeover from the Fitbit app. I was finally making progress meeting my dietary and exercise goals before the change. The food log function seems completely useless (for me and my goals) without calculating calories out. I was adjusting my consumption based on activity levels and weight loss targets. Now there is just a generic daily calorie range and the icon on the home page never even matches the info displayed under the nutrition tab. What a flop!

I have been clicking through all the random boxes and displays to try and find the nutrition/activity information that used to be displayed easily. No more daily targets for activity based on readiness either. Is there something I'm missing? Any suggestions for how to make the new food logging process more intuitive? I despise this app change but I just got my Fitbit device in December so I would be really disappointed if it's already rendered useless to my goals.

Sudden resting HR spike after switching to Air

Got my new Fitbit air yesterday and switched over Charge 5. RHR shot up by 6 points in the day? Anyone experienced things like this too?

u/Tsar_Nikolas — 14 days ago

Why did you do this?

Even the logo looks like it was made in the 90’s. My sleep stats look like a clip art overview that someone would drag and drop in Canva for a school project. It’s like someone got fed up during the build and just said: ‘ugh that will do’.

How to distinguish stats from different devices

I have both a Pixel Watch and a Fitbit Air connected to my Health app. How do I know what stats come from what device?

Medications Manual Entry

As a UK user I have no option to sync my medications to a healthcare provider. Maybe one day the National Health Service will be available but I doubt it.

There are various apps that allow you to record medications, when to take and when to submit a new prescription. However while syncing other data medications are not available in Health Connect.

Meanwhile I would suggest the app allow manual entry of medications, when to take and when to reorder. As I have to take steroids for polymyalgia rheumatica I also have to carry a card to indicate I am on steroids in the event of accident. If this section could have a public URL it would allow display on the lock screen of my phone for access by emergency services.

As to what Google Health does with this knowledge when available I have no idea!

When will the app be able to sync to Apple Health?

Long time apple user with Watch. Want to using fitbit air with my actual watch. Lacking the sync data to apple health is the most important thing right now for switching.,
