I know it’s odd

But I was struggling to get decent efficiency with Smooth mode. Even turning on energy saver, I was pulling in 2.6-2.7 mi/kw vs 2.4-2.6 without it.

7 seater, base aero wheels

I decided to just use Swift mode since I’m already burning efficiency. But for some reason it’s getting great efficiency compared to Smooth. I’m getting 2.9-3.2 mi/kw.

Maybe it was just me and I misunderstood. But I was under the impression that smooth was the efficient mode. Or maybe it’s some glitch in the software. Regardless feeling much better now that I get both performance and decent efficiency compared to previous.

I’ve looked into this and haven’t found other people complaining. But wanted to share this just in case.

Is surreal sound pro and dynamic handling a must have ?

We mostly listen to music through Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, so I’m curious if there’s a noticeable difference in sound quality with the Surreal Sound system in the Gravity.
I’ve seen quite a few people say the Surreal Sound system in the Air isn’t very good. Is it really that bad in the Gravity as well, or is the Gravity system noticeably better?
Also, how important is the Dynamic Handling package in real-world driving? Since all Gravity trims come with the standard single-chamber active suspension, would we actually miss Dynamic Handling during normal daily driving, or is it something you’d mainly notice during more spirited driving?
Would love to hear from Gravity owners who’ve experienced both setups.

2027 Gravity Grand Touring lease (factory order)

Just as a sanity check, did anyone recently get a 2027 Grand Touring lease (not from inventory). It looks like all the incentives expired for 2027 GT's right now but wanted to see if that was others experience as well.

I was hoping to get corporate discount and "conquest" one since I had a competitor lease before.

Looks like bad timing on my lease end and there doesn't seem to be any 2026 inventory for the features I want.

Experience with Seattle Service Center (Drive system warning)

My gravity has the drive system warning error and the service center has asked me to drop the car off. Apparently fixing this will take a few weeks.

Can anybody share your experience with this service center and this drive system warning error?

Trim fell off

This trim piece fell off today while I was getting my car washed. Has anyone had that happen and know how to reinstall it? It feels like it should just pop back in place, but it keeps coming off.

Any Portland, OR owners?

I recently traded in my Gravity for another car and have a few free accessories if anyone local wants them. If this is not allowed, I am happy to delete this post.

I have the Frunk seat from Lucid and a third party trunk mat that I am happy to give to any owner that picks them up in their Gravity. Feel free to PM or post here.

Surprisingly good

I went for demo drive yesterday and drove both Touring and the Grand Touring. I am looking for a true 3 row suv which is comfortable and spacious for six people and their stuff on road trips.

I was surprised how spacious the3rd row is and not cramped like most of the 3 row SUVs. Also the seat was not close to the ground. It offers decent leg support and two adults could actually sit there comfortably on a day long drive.

My question to the owners here is, how is your experience so far? I find gravity a better option than the R1S, however not sure how the service center experience is and will fit and finish last or the vehicle start to rattle after driving bumpy roads of New England. A couple of my friends who owned R1S are not happy with the service experience and the number of issues they had with their vehicles.

Edit: Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences it is making a strong case for it. In fact the other vehicle on my short list fell short. I was cross shopping BMW X7, went for a test drive today and didn't even test it. For its size there is hardly any storage space. My current family hauler offers more space which is 3-4 inches shorter in length. This brings me back to Lucid Gravity.

Experience with San Diego service center

Been lurking on this subreddit for over year and looking to get into a Gravity this year and located in San Diego.

My biggest concern is about service experience. Everything is all well/good until something goes wrong and the honeymoon over.

My EQS SUV lease is coming up in a couple of months and main reason for going with MB is that I can just waltz into a dealer the following day and get a loaner. Gravity is way more car than the EQS for similar money so I'm willing to tolerate a lesser service experience. Just trying to quantify what I would need to tolerate.

TIA!

Joined the Club today

Recognizing the "Gravity" of the situation with the Strait of Hormuz and ever-increasing gas prices, I finally took the plunge! The lease initiatives plus the California "first EV credit" made it a really sweet deal. Traded in my gas guzzler, and took delivery of Gravity Grand Touring today. This car drives like a spaceship!

3.6.4 update massively improves HUD

3.6.4 improves driver detection but what they don't mention is that they use driver detection to adjust the HUD projection to match your eye height.

I previously suffered from a dim or invisible HUD unless sitting way below my desired seat height, which seemed to be a common complaint. I had called service and they said this was related to my simultaneous issue of driver detection not working for me, as they used the driver camera to adjust the HUD projection. I kind of thought this was BS because even when driver detection worked for the first 10 minutes on a drive or rebooting or adjusting the steering wheel/seat etc the projection was always the same.

However I updated to 3.6.4 today and driver detection stayed on the entire drive allowing hands free driving, but I also noticed that wow the HUD was so much brighter and clear. Then I remembered what the phone rep said and it clicked! It's not noted in the release notes but if youve had issues with a low HUD projection and dim display see if it gets better after the update! It still seems not to calibrate to the highest sightlines but it appears much better than before, focusing at a middle height with higher elevations still visible, versus prior which seemed like it was optimal almost to the point where the top of the screen was flush to the hood.

Dynamic Handling Air Suspension Question

What is the difference between selecting “Auto” and whatever my Gravity does Everytime I get in and drive? I will select “Low,” go for a drive and park. When I get back in to drive, it will adjust to Standard everytime.

How can I keep it in “Low” all the time?

Kids in your gravity?

For all the parents out there how does the interior hold up with children and/or toddlers? Stroller space? I have a Rivian R1s at the moment and the interior has held up well in the almost 3 years I have had it but the backwards car seat passenger space sucked. It’s just as bad as my wife’s model y. What can I expect if I get a gravity?

Gravity owners, what do you dislike about yours? EX90 lease is up next year

My EX90 lease ends next year so I’ve started looking at what comes after.

What I need: 7 seats, electric, 250 kW+ charging, 450 km I can actually drive at highway speeds, and it has to feel premium inside. Not a downgrade from the EX90. That’s the whole list. Now try to find cars that do all four.

The Volvo has been good. Ride is the best part, it just glides. The software never bothered me either, which I know isn’t the popular opinion here. But the 7 seat setup is tight. We had 7 people in it recently, 2 adults in the third row plus luggage, and they complained 😅

Fair enough, there really isn’t much room back there, and with row 3 up the trunk is basically gone.

Drove an Air a while back. Liked it a lot. The way it drove, and loved the huge frunk - got two checkin-bags in there.

The infotainment was the letdown. Felt slow and a bit unfinished next to what I’m used to. I couldn’t use maps and Spotify at the same time. Adaptive cruise as well, I stopped using it. That’s honestly the only reason I haven’t just ordered a Gravity.

So, owners:
- would you buy it again
- best thing about yours
- anything you dislike after living with it for a while, not the review stuff
- adults in row 3 with luggage still in the back, does that work
- did the software and the ACC get better since the Air
- is the Grand Touring worth the extra price

And if I’m looking at the wrong car entirely just say so. I’m in Germany so the list is short anyway. And no, not the ID. Buzz 😬 (range and charge speed suck)
