Anyone know what these were really?

Anyone know what these were really?

Since they do not sell them anymore I am trying to locate that pick but without the dime stuff on it. It wasn't a show pick. They sold these back in the day. I am down to like 3 or 4 and if you look at the price on ebay for them... just don't.

Anyway I've tried the quite a few picks and off the top of my head I cannot remember which ones but Tortex and really anything I could grab from .77 to 1.05 or whatever the Hetfield White Fang picks are.

These are just my holy grail picks. I don't know why but they just are the sweet spot that I love. and the finish doesn't slide etc. etc. etc.

I'm hoping someone knows what they are really and I am able to find them. I have emailed Washburn in the past and they don't even know.

[update]

I have contacted Washburn and they said “we have no idea anything about those. Take some calipers and measure the thickness”

I contacted Dunlop and they said that they asked around and they did not make them and to contact Washburn.

I have reached out to Dime’s guitar tech and have not received a reply yet.

Emergency pick holder lifehack

Not the usual topic, but I used an old magic card to hold a pick in my wallet. Somehow I never have a pick when I head to the guitar store, so this is my emergency solution

My humble collection

Ive been to plenty of concerts but only recently started getting in the pit/front etc. Pretty happy to finally have some after years of nothing! Lol

Do you folks recommend gravity guitar picks, I'm looking for something somewhat durable with a good tone

I was looking into these and I heard they are nice.

UPDATE: I got one, I find it to be very nice and articulate, would definitely recommend.

custom guitar picks

hey so my friend's birthday is coming up very soon, and i was wondering if i was able to somehow take my own guitar picks somewhere and get a picture printed on them, or if i can print pictures myself and put them on the picks? i know i can order them online with the customization already on them, but it won't come on time, so i was just wondering if i was able to do it myself on pre-existing guitar picks?

One pick to rule them all..

I know every player have a different pick preference. But how do you guys know when it's the one? I'm going back and forth with different picks and came across a handful of different picks to a gig. Either one is too flubby, too rigid, too snappy or too dark.

Looking to reduce them all into just one pick for: strumming, alternate picking, percussive downpicking stuff

Idk if it's a pick problem or I just never spend thst much time with just one.

How would I DIY a guitar pick?

Hello everyone! My partners birthday is soon! And I’m looking to making them a non functional guitar pick, as they have a guitar bass and I’m looking for help on how to craft it. What should the base material be? I’ve seen old plastic cards but if so how to paint it and can I use stickers?. I would like it to be very whimsical! thank you :]]

For the love of Picks

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share some insights I’ve gained from my collection of guitar picks. Like many guitarists, I’ve spent years trying to find "the one," accumulating a variety of styles along the way. Recently, after seeing them just hidden away with my guitar supplies, I decided to put them all in a container and rotate through them constantly while playing/practicing, switching every once in a while.

This experiment led to a few realizations:

  1.  Don’t overthink it: They are all great in their own way. Each has a unique character, sound, and feel, and any of them could be "the one."

  2.  Play softer: Rotating picks encouraged me to play with a more relaxed grip. This has resulted in better dynamic control, cleaner playing, and improved precision and speed.

  3.  Adaptability: By using different picks, I’m learning how to achieve consistent performance regardless of the tool, which has been incredibly beneficial for my playing.

I don’t want to make this too long, but I’d love to help other enthusiasts. If you have questions about specific pick types (all I own are shown in the picture) or want comparisons to help with your next purchase, please ask away! I will answer as many questions as I can to help the community, and anyone going on Google trying to find info about them, hopefully, this thread helps!

Probably my favorite pick in my collection

To my knowledge the only pick Mike Gallo threw out that night, which was the final show of that leg of Sepultura's final tour. The scruffiness and upside down zombie add so much character IMO.
