I really hope she gets more fleshed out in season 3 because honestly she could have just fit for a one time character for that one episode

Say im corn-plating but ive noticed that the whole episode was catherine was with the demons trying to get her, then later in the siren episode he stated how demons are drawn to purity / innocence.

I enjoyed the second season, although I found episodes like "Crow and the Witch" rather boring but passable. My biggest and probably only regret is not knowing anything about Nathan's death. I appreciate the "mystery," and my headcanon is that he died by suicide because he had no one to really rely on. I appreciate Ron's character for the little he appeared. Otherwise, it remains one of my favorite animated films, honestly.

Nothing to say about Shaina; she's just a good character.

In season one, nathan said some of his unfinished businesses were running for office, running a successfull hotel, and running with the bulls.

In season 2 episode 7, he finally ran for office- though he didnt win, the running mightve been it.

In season 2 of its entirety, his hotel finally had became successful, leading me to believe if there is a season 3, it might end with nathans business being finished.

Win: More background on Ron and Nathan's depression

- we got a deeper look into Kat's relationship and Nathan's mental health struggle

Miss: Introduction of Shayna

- She became a major character right off the bat and felt like it came at the cost.of better developing other characters without adding much to the family dynamic

Miss: Not enough Heather and Joel

- 2 characters I wanted to see more of

Win: Abbadons true form

- Always fun to get a reminder that he is a duke of hell and has a more powerful form

Win: Nathan and Bridgett have a sweet moment

- a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts. Be happy that it happened, even if we are sad that it's over is a bittersweet lesson

Win: Seeing Esther grow as a magic user herself

- She is becoming more confident, yet arrogant as an ankh was needed to bring her back

Overall Thoughts:

Sort of like a spooky Bojack Horseman where a fantastical setting can be used to offset dark topics like depression, suicide, and toxic marriages, Haunted Hotel can be both fun, scary, and dark in more ways than 1. It didn't quite hit as well as s1 did, but I'm eagerly awaiting next year hoping for s3

At the end of the opening sequence, there's a "room" to the immediate right of the family which is different every time. They all seem to reference horror films and TV series, but I can't identify some of them.

The left side is obviously Scream and Jaws...and I guess just Dracula? The right side - I don't know the first one, but the next one could be Psycho, and the last one is definitely The Shining.

This show reminds me of the sitcom called ghosts a lot and I love it. It's like an animation version of it, and everyone can see the ghosts and the ghost are a lot more violent. Does it have certain aspects of it? And I'm talking about the US and UK version. Does anyone else make the similarities?

Hello everyone! I get very passionate about silly things such as figuring out where a fictional town would be.

So, in Ghosts day Out, Stabby Paul seemingly makes it to Syracuse in the night. A night in New york in October is ~13 hours and given his passion he could have traveled 50-75 miles based on speed and whether ghosts need to take a break.

We also learn there is a lighthouse in town which implies they're on Lake Ontario.

Based on the distance to Syracuse and the age/visual appearance of the lighthouse I think the most likely locations for midwich is Cape Vincent, NY (Tibbetts Point Lighthouse, marked in red) or Rochester, NY (Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse, marked in blue)

It is also very funny that Haunted hotel takes place in Western New York when you consider all of the new religions and cults that started in that area during the "second great awakening" (late 1700s- early 1800s)
