Thomasville cabinets sold thru Home Depot

Cabinets are peeling and Thomasville will not stand behind their product which has a life time Warranty on them. I’ll tell who ever will listen do not buy their product because if you have problems they’ll try to blame you. When will Home Depot find a company that stands behind their product. We spent $28,000 on new kit and only five yrs have passed they say all this is wear and tear and humidity which we life in NV where the humidity is about 5%. All we want is them to replace laminated doors and end pieces to painted ones. When first installed at least 20-25 doors and ends had to be remade because they came damage.

Are those veggie choppers worth it?

The ones that cut up in cubes. They feel gimmicky and quality varies I assume, but is a worth buying? Dishwasher safe as well?

Home dough sheeter cost difference

I am thinking of getting a dough sheeter but I am conflicted which one to get. I have seen both Kneader and Brod and Taylor as reputable brands to get one but they are very expensive. I have seen on Amazon and temu (well aware they are all from china) that appear to be half to even a quarter of the price of the other brands for the same product.
Has anyone tried either since I am wondering if it’s worth the risk to save money or if the investment is worth it. Thanks!

What is this Pampered Chef item?

First I thought it was a potato masher, but it does not match potato mashers I found photos of. Seems to it is meant to rock back in forth instead of mashing.

Edit: Thank you for the answers. 😊 solved.

Invented a mechanical kitchen paper towel holder for true one-handed tearing, but feeling a bit stuck.

I spent a long time developing this, but it’s not getting much interest and I’m trying to figure out why. I’ve uploaded a picture below—could you please be brutally honest and tell me what looks wrong with the design or concept? (Full story in the comments).

Should I discard this pan?

I have a set of 5 pots and pans that I bought in 2020. These are Gotham steel and I bought these because they were pfas free and did not have teflon coating. These were also in my budget. Fast forward to now- I have a few tri- ply stainless steel pans, cast iron deep pots with ceramic glaze and a couple others that were gifted- probably similar to this Gotham steel set but newer.

I am wondering if it is time to move on from this set?
I intend to buy/ replace with either cast iron or tri ply steel only going forward.
I ask this question since I am trying to only buy items when I NEED them and not when I WANT them.
Hoping the experts here will have some guidance.

Cuisinart toaster almost started house fire

Dont waste your hard earned money for a $120 toaster that is known to fail within a year. If we weren't awake it would have started a fire in the kitchen. It automatically turned on and started burning the bread. Then, they do nothing for you. Model CPT 180c. Toaster not even 18 months old.

Is my Tefal non-stick pot still safe to use?

I just cooked a batch of instant ramen in my non-stick pot and burned it. So I scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed like my life depended on it. And after I dried the pot, it became like this. My question is: Do you think this Tefal pot is still safe to use?

What are some of the best acrylic storage containers for pantry staples

Since I decided to start cooking I’ve been slowly trying to make my pantry easier to use and one thing I keep coming back to is clear acrylic storage containers so I can see what I store in them. I never thought much about pantry storage before but lately I’ve realized how much easier cooking feels when ingredients are visible and easy to grab. The idea sounds simple enough but once I started shopping around I got overwhelmed quickly. There are square ones with lids, Stackable drawer style ones, Airtight containers with locking tops, Open bins, Tall narrow ones for pasta, Wider ones for flour. It feels like there’s a storage solution for every ingredient and somehow that makes it harder to choose. My biggest hesitation is if I bought one off Amazon or Alibaba would they actually stay practical long term or if they become another thing to wash and manage every time groceries come in. For anyone who has switched to acrylic pantry storage did it actually make everyday cooking and organizing easier or did the effort of maintaining it end up outweighing the benefits?

Best undershelf organizers for kitchen towels

My roommate pointed out that the reason we don’t like cooking is because our kitchen countertops are always so full of things that we don’t use daily or simply in that quantity and that actually makes so much sense. Because tell me why I’ll be trying to make something as simple as a salad but here comes the paper towels obstructing me and getting me out of a cooking mood. We’ve agreed to get organizers for the undershelf so that we can utilize space and stop spending all that money on doordash, plus we run through paper towels so fast because while they’re on the counter it’s so easy for them to get wet and unusable. I need something that will be easy to mount and won’t fall off while I'm trying to pull towels out that also fits all sizes of rolls whether small or medium/large without being too loose or too tight. I’ve tried looking on alibaba and in the local stores around but most of these don’t have any type of reviews and I don’t wanna risk so yall please give your recommendations.

Quality dehydrator for garnishes.

Need a good dehydrator for making lime and orange wheel garnishes. Smaller establishment, ~100 total seats. Current Amazon purchase is garbage.

Which under-sink shelves maximize storage most?

I  think optimizing spaces in my house is a big challenge. I am always looking for new ideas and the right places have always been these communities. I like learning from real people rather like bloggers because I believe if someone has gone through something they’re likely to give good advice.

I want to take advantage of every empty space in my house and add some storage. I am now considering going under the sink. I might be too ambitious but I guess it could have worked for someone.

If it’s a good idea, I would like to know what works. My sink space is huge and I think I could be wasting some opportunity here. I also think it could be a space where I hide what I don’t like to be visible in the kitchen. Sometimes I feel too many items in the visible ruin the aesthetics.

I would appreciate any idea brought forth even if you’re asking me to check online options like Alibaba or maybe something you saw on social media. If it works, I don’t care where it comes from. I am usually this open minded.

changing my ceramic plates and dishes

I want to replace our old ceramic plates and dishes because it's no longer the vibe since it has been used for a couple of years and I guess I deserve one new. I really thought that it could be a very simple task for me but as soon as I started surfing the net, it occurs to me that these different styles and price ranges will easily confuse me as to which one is a good choice and that will suit my style. I have looked at some from stores and also to online markets to evaluate where people often purchase a full dish set. Been on Alibaba, amazon, and another one already well they also have a lot of options there like smaller matching sets with a lot of ceramic designs for me to choose. Anybody who has shopped kitchenware online, where do you find quality that matches pricing and durability?
