Driving around in circles

Got picked up today going to the airport. 4am, roughly. Felt like the driver was driving around in circles. I realized this after 5 minutes it felt like he did 4 right turns. I looked up like "where the fuck are we"... and we're about half mile from my house going around in some random direction.

We get to the airport and he's once again going AROUND the airport. I did ask if he knew where he was going and he looked at me like i had 3 heads. I looked at the final ride map and there is a circle around the airport and a circle near my house.

What the hell is this about. Ended up being a 28 minute ride when it should be 15. There was absolutely no traffic at 4am. Maybe I'm trippin

Do Reward Days cover one way rental as of 2026?

I have 3 reward days to burn. I have booked a one way rental where the base rate is $180 a day and the taxes and fees will make a total of about $205.

Can i apply a reward day to this one-way rental? I am executive elite if that matters

I know rules change all the time

Norfolk traffic from Suffolk VA area in the morning

Each morning starting in 2 days, every regular business day I have to travel to Navy Main Exchange (Naval Station Norfolk), from Oak and Lily Academy in Suffolk VA. This will be about 6am/7am time frame.

I have no idea what traffic is like in Norfolk since I do not live here nor have I ever been here. What is the best route and time to leave? I hear traffic is terrible in the morning and can take an hour to get there. I dont have a point of contact to talk to and inquire about all this yet.

My GPS says I can take the I-664 and go across the tunnel (Merrimac), then come back down on I-64 Hampton Roads Tunnel. OR take 164 and Hampton BLVD....and I have no idea if that's even better.

Ya'll are from VA can you help with this?

Arriving at 4am with luggage....how to survive a few hours until 1145am flight?

Looking at some random travel options. One of them is taking the bus to Columbus, which arrives at 4am. I have a flight at 1145am. This will be on a Sunday morning...

What are some things I can do to stay well fed and somewhat entertained until 1145am? I know most things are closed that early in the morning. The only other option is to head to the airport and wait there. I'm open for ideas, however I can just do the airport thing too if that's the only viable option

How are rental cars reimbursed under IDT-R for drill?

During the course of conversation, and without getting into too much detail, two different AO's have given different answers. I have tried my best to read JTR and seek answers, and have chased my tail for weeks. I have gotten nowhere.

On a regular UTA (Saturday and Sunday) I am authorized a rental car. My rental car usage is as follows:

On Friday I fly in from my home of record. I arrive at the airport and rent a car. Tthe rental contract starting at 1700 on Friday. I have UTA/drill on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, after UTA I drive to the airport, return the car at 1700 and and fly back home. My rental bill total is $190. (Daily rate is approx $35 plus fees, equal the $190)

Based on IDT-R and JTR rules, how much should I be getting reimbursed for this trip?

AO #1 says $126.66.

AO #2 says $63.33.

I have asked and nobody else knows. Can someone with experience in this point to specific references/guidelines that will shed light on this calculation?

You have to live on a vessel for 5 years

You are an experiment. If you choose to participate, you have to live on some sort of vehicle/vessel for 5 years. All your health care costs will be taken care of during, and forever taken care of after. At the end, you will receive a monthly check of $35,000 tax free and a one time lump sum of $750 million tax free. You can not set foot on land, however for purposes of medical emergency you will be transported to a hospital where you will remain until treatment. You will be transported back to your vehicle/vessel.

You have to live on a vessel that moves, such as submarine, boat, ship, plane, kayak, RV, bus, mobile home. The vessel has to move at least 8 hours out of the day. You will have a driver if a bus/rv/mobile home. Unlimited fuel. Sorry, no funerals, birthdays, celebrations off the vessel. Your family can leave, but they can't come back on. You can order items to be delivered to your vessel (amazon, walmart, food, etc). Weather can damage your vessel, during foul weather you are allowed to stay grounded (hurricane, tornado, snow, tsunami)

If on a plane, the plane will take off and land as many times as you want. You cannot exit the plane.

You can bring anything with you, if you bring people then immediate family only (husband, wife, kids, domestic partner) Food will always be available no matter what vessel you choose.

It can be any vessel in the world currently in existence and in use. It will be maintained and not break down. What vessel do you choose? why? what are you bringing?

**edit to add: these vessels will be empty, with the exception of crew to maintain, manage it.
