She got quite sweaty because it's pretty humid here

My sweet boy

This is my OTTB gelding <3 He turned 24 this year and is living his best retired life, but I wanted to share some photos from over the years. He's been in our family for 16 years and he taught me everything, really.

(I shared him a couple times on other horsey subreddits on my old account, but I got blocked out of that for some reason so... if any of the pictures are familiar, that's why lol)

Teaching baby Raspberry showmanship!

Miss Raspberry is not mine but for today she was mine to play with lol. She is one of the many horses boarded at the barn I board my fjord Teddy at! The owner's daughter is training her to ride and told her daughter to teach her some showmanship but she hates showmanship. So I asked if I could try! They enthusiastically agreed so here we are learning our transitions.

I had to use some rope at first because she was like "uhhhhh why" then she caught on very quickly. Then i had to catch on to the fact that yes she's actually trotting. I'm so used to having to sprint with Teddy!!

Tips and tricks welcome! Raspberry and I are learning together. I taught Teddy some but he is a very quick learner so it's much different.

Recovering from surgery so I can't see my girls and I miss them

Luckily my trainer can work them, barn owner can feed, water, muck out stalls and observe them, and my mom can measure out their supplement baggies. I am surrounded by wonderful helpers! (1st 2 photos older, by me, 2nd 2 sent yesterday by my trainer.)

My horses..with things on their heads/ears

The bay is my sister's late gelding who was 30, and the grey is 28, so that is why they both have poor muscling (the geldings weight was a struggle, he was underweight but not emaciated one bit)
