In '41, USSR and Japan signed a treaty of non aggression that was supposed to last until '46, due to USSR not wanting a 2 front war and Japan wanting USSR to convince UK and US to go easier on Japan than the Germans if they lost. In '45, the USSR broke the treaty and invaded Japan. Was it justified?
