Looking for some advice as a new EV buyer!

Hi there! I recently began my search for a new car as my 2021 Nissan Sentra has been paid off for a while and I just wanted something different. Came across the MachE today and immediately fell in love, which never happens for me as I generally don't care about cars. I've never owned a EV myself and am a little hesitant, but have really only heard good things about this model.

I'm mostly looking for a little advice to help me pull the trigger on purchasing! My car does not even have 15,000 miles on it yet meaning I could get a good trade in, but the dealer I was looking at closest to me is asking $24,500 for a 2021 MachE Premium with 48,000 miles on it. Does this seem like a good price to you guys? Not being familiar with EVs or high value brands just makes me wonder if its to much.

Thanks in advance guys! :)

Don’t do a driving history reset on a road trip….

My standard range-o-meter is about 289 miles. A few hours into our long haul from San Francisco to Twenty Nine Palms, we left the charger with 80% charge and I reset the estimater for fun. About 10 minutes later, we got a warning that the ford maps trip was being updated because of a change of battery range….. it was 127 miles now. Ouch. Restarted the car… no change. Went to a charger, charged it back from 72% back to 80… still 130 miles.

I know there was more and I knew what was going on. It was estimating range based on my wife’s heavy foot onto the highway and a few minutes of driving at 76. But I didn’t trust that it wouldn’t end up with weird errors and it made us nervous. Recharged in Tehachapi. The next day, recharged at a new Rivian Adventure Center and finally the guess meter was updated to real world.

Trunk Privacy Screen

It took only 25 days of ownership to take this out LOL! Is there a market for these? Should I keep it, should I reinstall it?

PPF & Ceramic Coating Folks…

Picked up my car yesterday. They took am extra day due to “software” issues: Software that cuts some of the film. Was the time, was told they were doing what they normally do by hand and while the software was fixed / figured out. I’m noticing edges like around the headlights and sensors. There is clearly at least one strand of lint on the hood, under the film. There are several nicks (?) on the hood which were not there before. I pointed them out and his response was not everything could be corrected. Thing is, he walked the car with me and didn’t point these knicks out (because they were not there before). I’m wondering if they are knicks in the film or other debris under the film. There are also bubbles above the front plate. In general yo the things i noticed before getting home, he said, some could be “water” spots which will dry over a couple days. Thoughts, especially from those that have had PPF and then ceramic coating applied on top of the PPF.

Yes! Finally got one!

As a Dutchie, driving 600km per week, home/work, charging 99% of the time on L2 home charger.

What are 2 things you can tell me that I really need to know about this car?

Ok, help me choose

So in about two weeks, through an auction, I’ll have the chance to bid on one of these

Two Mach-Es and I’m ridiculously excited 😄
Both are 2025 Premium RWDs.
The white one has around 3,000 miles.
The black one has around 12,000 miles, but it has the Sport Appearance Package with the wheels and trim.
From what I’m hearing, they’ll probably end up going for around the same price.
Honestly, I genuinely like both colors and both cars, so now I’m overthinking it and would love some opinions from actual Mach-E owners.
Would you go:
• lower miles and white
or
• Sport Appearance Package and black with a bit more mileage?
Any regrets with either color/package? Thanks!

MagSafe wireless charger

Finally finished designing and printing a MagSafe charger/tray setup for the Mach-E. Fits way better than the factory pad and actually keeps the phone in place while driving. Really loving how the dual color print turned out on this one. I matched it to my 25 MME eruption green.

I love the ceramic coating, but ...

Dang it makes my car like a lint brush! It attracts so much dust and lint! What I am doing now is, I bought some anti-static spray polish, and it really seems to help!

For the fraction of the cost…

My 2025 Mach E GT was able to hang with a Mercedes Benz AMG GT. I love this car, even with 59% left on the Battery I was able to pull off the line from an Mercedes AMG GT, of course he was able to catch up and pass me after a while but the amount of fun for the money this car has is insane. This is my second GT. I hope ford plans to keep these in the line up for years to come.

If you’re in the market for one of these, please go test drive one. You will love the comfort, suspension and the power. I know the depreciation isn’t the greatest but if you’re planing on keeping it for a while still worth it.

Cheers 🍻
