After a break for a few months (newborn in the house) I am trying to troubleshoot my psvr2 and get eye tracking going for iracing. I am immediately hit with the stupid tracking error which no amount of scanning seems to fix. I see posts mentioning psvr2 toolkit can make it go away and also do eye tracking etc but I have no idea how it works. I installed it a while ago and never found a UI or launcher so I have no idea if its working or how to adjust. I'm willing to do a clean install just to start again but does it have a UI? I was expecting something like openxr toolkit where you can toggle stuff
I just wanted to say how other worldly this headset is. I had almost no issue setting it up actually and it is just beautiful
I have this dumbass popup come up all the time blocking my game. I’ve remade my play area 100 times, my room is bright, and there’s no obstructions. The cameras are clean and I have a good Bluetooth connection. I need to know if there’s some setting or file I can delete to get rid of this bullshit once and for all.
Recently noticed this purple glare that mostly doesn't go away. Visible on both eyes. Been told it's the eye tracking but I don't use eye tracking. Any way to completely turn it off?
So I just got a PSVR2 a few months back, paid $300 total to get it, the charge dock, the pc adapter, and the Globular Cluster mod and it all works, I have the right bluetooth and so the controllers don't desync. But The lenses are not my favorite and the rubber is annoying.
I was just given an offer to buy a Galaxy XR with controllers for $1250 and I'm heavily considering it.
My main use for it is VR Chat, Bigscreen for movies(what I have done the most of) and some pcvr games, I only have a few. I hate beatsaber and would never play it so that isn't really an issue and I don't have an interest "competitive" vr games either. I have a 165gz monitor and a 4090 for my serious gaming.
So in this use case, is it actually a good upgrade? The big thing holding me back is everyone saying the controllers are bad, but people say that about PSVR2 and that hasn't bothered me at all.
Battery life is another big thing though, I don't get how wireless can be better if you need to use extra battery packs or be plugged in anyway to get more than 2 hours, but the PSVR2 controllers last only 4 hours anyway so as long as I can get like 5 hours total I should be no better or worse in that regard.
I also wouldn't mind using it for 2D games, I did have fun using my PSVr2 as a screen to play Helldivers 2 at my desk for instance using my regular keyboard and mouse.
TL;DR: During iRacing VR sessions, my monitor and PSVR2 headset both crash and go black - I am unable to get the screen back and have to hard-reboot. Extensive troubleshooting has been done and hasn't fixed it.
Setup
Windows 11
CPU: Intel Core i5-12500H
GPU: RTX 3080 (desktop) running 610.62
PSU: Corsair RM750 (750W)
Monitor: DisplayPort, 2560 x 1440 @ 164Hz
Wheel: Logitech RS50 + Pro Pedals via wheel base, USB connection
Using PSVR2 with the official Sony PC adaptor
Using PSVR2 controllers (mainly just to navigate off the Steam menu)
Symptom
Confirmed root cause (via 4 separate diagnostic sources)
Root cause: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG / DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET — Nvidia GPU driver (nvlddmkm.sys) failing under DirectX 11 + SteamVR/OpenXR VR load
Windows kernel minidumps (C:\Windows\Minidump)
Two automatic BSOD dumps were generated during crashes:
Bugcheck: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (0x3B)
Faulting module: nvlddmkm.sys (Nvidia kernel display driver)
Triggering process: vrcompositor.exe (SteamVR's compositor)
Fault type: null pointer dereference inside the Nvidia driver while handling a compositor request
Apparently this is a known, documented crash signature appearing in multiple community reports (SteamVR forums, Nvidia support threads, GeForce forums) across different GPU models and driver versions going back ~2 years
Live monitoring (HWiNFO64)
Logged GPU sensors during a session that crashed. Data shows completely normal, stable GPU temp/power/clocks right up until the exact crash timestamp, at which point every GPU metric freezes simultaneously (temp, power, clock, memory clock, core load all lock to identical repeated values, with Hot Spot Temp dropping to an impossible 0.0°C - indicating the sensor just stopped being able to query the driver). This confirms an instantaneous driver hang, not a thermal or power-related gradual failure.
WER folder
The ReportArchive in the WER folder (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive) has a goldmine of info - many folders of AppCrash_psvr2_overlay.ex_XXX. These folders however have been impossible to access - tried most things you could think of.
What I've tried (all unsuccessful at fully resolving it)
General PSVR2 and iRacing Settings
Any help would be appreciated!!
Hello folks, as the title implies has anyone gotten their psvr2 working on steamVR? I plan to buy the adapter but am not clear on the process or unsure if the price for the frame would be in my budget.
Specs:
9070
5800xt
32gb ram
I read somewhere that theres a special app to connect where it can utilize psvr2 2 features like eye tracking which isn’t possible from steamvr app. Anyone can help on that?
Basically, i wanna play pc vr games in the best way possible.
Thank you all!
So I haven't gotten a chance to test VR on it yet, as a matter of fact I have only got to test F1 26 (non vr) on it but I recently upgraded from an RTX 3060TI 8gb card to a RTX 5070 12gb card.
Would like to see some opinions on a RTX 5070 paired with a Ryzen 7 5700x3D and 32gb of ram for VR games, most likely racing games like the f1 games (which from previous experience are horrendously optimised so my hopes aren't high for that one), AC, ACC, Le Mans Ultimate, anyone with a similarish setup, how does the PSVR 2 perform?
I sold my headset long ago and the buyer didn't need the adapter for PCVR. I've had it listed on eBay for weeks with no luck selling. It doesn't have the box or documentation but I am selling it at a better price than I can find anywhere else on eBay. $50 with free shipping. I've made multiple offers of $47.50 and $45 to interested people but still cannot sell this thing. I thought I would try posting the link here to see if anyone was interested. Thank you.
Has anyone run into this problem before? I've plugged it into several different USB ports, two of which were marked 'ss'. I've also tried reinstalling the USB Root Hub, reinstalling psvr2 app, and tweaking some bios settings.
Help is appreciated
EDIT: Solved by power cycling the adapter itself

using it for 2+ month, easy to dissasemble, no damage to headset
When I launch it in Steam VR mode it just sends me to the Steam VR home and launches the game in flat screen with no enable VR tile
These are all games that can be purchased and modded to play in VR from the Steam Summer Sale. Steam doesn't have a way to search them, so I did it myself. This is in no way a complete list of all of them, and I'm not going to list whether or not they have motion controls, whether they are 1st person or 3rd, or how well they work. This list took long enough. Hopefully you find some good stuff you've been wanting to play. I know I'm going to have to sell a kidney after this sale.
I'm new to Contractor ExfilZone and I'm trying to figure out whether my performance is normal or if something is wrong with my setup.
My PC:
The game has very low FPS, and SteamVR frametime is almost always yellow or red.
I've already tried:
That makes the frametime mostly yellow with some green, so it's slightly more playable, but it's still not an enjoyable experience.
One thing that makes me think something might be wrong is that this happens even in the training room, before loading into a large map or a real match.
For comparison, I can play H3VR on the same PC without any problems, and SteamVR frametime stays green about 95% of the time.
Is this expected for an RTX 3060 Laptop, or does it sound like I have a configuration issue? If anyone has a similar setup (especially with PSVR2 or an RTX 3060 Laptop), I'd really appreciate knowing what performance you're getting and what settings you're using.
Thanks in advance!
What’s the good the bad and the ugly of PSVR2 on PC?
Steam Frame is coming soon and I’m interested - but… for the price I’m not so sure standalone SteamOS sells me… I can plug in to my PC just fine. (I’m running a 3080 fyi)
If I get PSVR2 for PC - I want all the features to work - adaptive triggers etc. is that reality or a pipe dream?
Any opinions are welcome!
Edit: Any notable accessories? Better straps for comfort etc I should consider?
It basically feels like the opening scene of left 4 dead 1 all the time. Just incredible horror + nostalgia i think this is peak vr. As someone who grew up playing left 4 dead 2 it’s a dream to play it on this headset. It does not hit the same on quest 3 not even close. I picked this headset up for dirt cheap a month ago and it’s game changing. I cant wait to play through every campaign🤩
After months of PSVR2 on PC working flawlessly, I suddenly started having this issue where my controllers always disconnect whenever I open Steam VR. What's most interesting is that the entire time, the light on my controllers is saying they're still on, and my Bluetooth settings tab says they're still connected, as shown in the video I made to showcase the issue.
What I have tried to solve it:
Unpairing and re-pairing the controllers in windows settings.
Unpairing and re-pairing in registry editor
Verifying SteamVR game file integrity as well as going from release version to the beta version
Updating to windows 11 (I was originally on 10 and I thought it would update my bluetooth drivers or smth)
Buying a new bluetooth adapter ( I originally had a 30 dollar TP-Link AX3000 I thought was defective, so I upgraded to a AORUS GC-WBAX210, same issue)
Sometimes if I unpair and re-pair them enough times, they do both connect and I can play VR but the next day I'm back to the same issue. I do use PSVR toolkit which I have tried to update, reinstall, uninstall and it all has the same issue. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
