Diddy Kong Racing VR released!

Lets hum the song together with Taj, the genie and Diddy's friends!

RayRodTV just released Diddy Kong Racing in VR!

Like his other mods, it provides 4 camera views: first person, third person, diorama and theater. We can choose how we will see that huge friendly dino, from Diddy's own eyes to up above he and his green friend.

You can install the game and its updates from the Multiverse VR Hub. There you will find some 64 games already available, like Mario, Mario Kart, Star Fox, F Zero, Banjo, and other games like Sonic Robo Blast 2 and Ring Racers. Also, some upcoming surprises awaits for our retrogaming dreams coming true, Smash Bros and Goldeneye!

All his mods will come to Quest, and for now we have Mario and Mario Kart available for the platform.

Here are the links for download of the Multiverse VR Hub and some showcase of it in action:

Has anyone with stuttering issues solved it by changing the pc adopter or motherboard?

Specs:

Ryzen 5700x3d

RTX 3070

16GB ram

Headset Resolution:

Lowest possible. 1250x1270

Games Tested (Lowest settings):

  • RE2Remake VR mod

  • Subnautica VR mod

Notes:

  • Clearly the stutter isn't related to cpu or gpu bottlenecks.

  • Not game related either because there is no problem when I matched the resolutions then played on flatscreen.

  • The stutter has been happening ever since I got the adopter + vr2 in 2024. Doesn't matter what nvidia driver, all of them stutter to a degree.

  • The stutters usually happens when I traverse the same areas in game every time. On boundaries that represent different areas in game. On RE2 when I'm near a different section of the map. On Subnautica, when I'm entering a different biome like the kelp forest.

  • I suspect when large amount of assets are being loaded in the background, maybe I got a faulty adopter or a motherboard with bad/unstable USB subsystem and it's causing issues.

  • On steamvr frametime graph, a single stutter is represented with a red line (error) surrounded by yellow (reprojection). A stutter can happen multiple times in a row.

  • Depending on where I plug the usb on the back of the motherboard, the series of stuttering could be mild (lasting a few second or less) to bad (lasting 30 seconds or more).

Makes me think think there is something wrong with my adopter or mobo but I can't test it right now because I can't afford to buy anything right now.

r/PCVR is now reopened! We made a place to talk about all the new VR modding & PCVR, because Discord isn't cutting it. No standalone talk!

Hi all, Lunch & VR Dad here. r/PCVR is now reopened.

We wanted a central place where people could talk about everything related to PCVR and VR modding online, and discord is a closed garden a lot of people don't like. It's still the best place to get the latest VR mods and where modders live, but we wanted this information to be public and searchable online for modders & everyone.

Which is why we are reopening r/PCVR to the public!

I’m a PC noob. Does my 2021 Asus gaming laptop require the psvr2 adaptor? I heard some computers don’t need it…

4GB of Ram ASUS TUF Gaming F17 FX706HCB RTX 3050 GPU i5-11260H CPU

I know it probably can’t play intensive VR games, but it would still be fun to play around wit. The laptop has a single USB C port.

Will it work?

Yo, I got a laptop Cyborg 15 B2RWFKG with an intel 7 ultra 240H and a 5060rtx, currently using a monitor through a usbc dp cable and it works up to 390hz. I don't see any logo next to the USB C port indicating that it has ALT MODE with DP, but it works just fine with my monitor. The only thing that made me question the possibility of the psvr2 working on my pc is the fact that the usb c port is not connected to the rtx but rather the Intel(R) Graphics. work or no work?

Psvr2 eye tracking

I saw a video of someone using the eye tracking code mod and they were also on the psvr2.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to set it up

Need help knowing if laptop can run PSVR2, assume I don't know anything

Long story short, I'm a console gamer because I don't understand computers that well. I have an ASUS TUF Gaming F16 FX608JMR that I bought last year, and I don't know if it can use the PSVR 2 PC Adapter.

I think it has Thunderport Display, but I also see that one of the USB-C ports has a "DP" symbol on it, so it should work right? The reason I'm also asking is because I don't have the DisplayPort cable to test it. I didn't know they're sold separately... and now that I do know, I don't know which DisplayPort cable I'm supposed to buy (will any DisplayPort cable work, or do I need a specific one?).

What non-native games can I get on steam that I can also use the VR2 with?

Games that either use a UE injector or have access to mods that can you can use the PSVR2 with. I really want Elden Ring but everyone says it’s nearly impossible to play because of the difficulty.

Play retrogames VR mods with Multiverse VR Hub

Hello fellow PSVR 2 players!

RayRod TV has just released his Multiverse VR Hub!

MVRH is a small program that installs all of his VR ports onto your own copies of the games, keeping them updated.

Mario Kart 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Super Mario 64, Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers, Star Fox 64 & Sonic Robo Blast 2 are all on it available to play.

All mods have 4 camera views: first person, third person, theater (huge screen in front of you) and diorama (see tiny characters from above). He also have the innovative flip cam for first person, where we see the world flip when got bananed on the road, make a looping or perform a triple jump! See his mods in action here:

Star Fox 64

https://youtu.be/7lPBdbnPCaw

Banjo Kazooie

https://youtu.be/MJq5f9XzPjQ?is=UfjsVC08r54BuTdk

Sonic Robo Blast 2 https://youtu.be/-uoyF4BULAM?is=jy10PUtpI05apZgq

Ring Racers https://youtu.be/El7YhoCccwI?is=8fmek48grC0MEcKa

Mario 64 https://youtu.be/--jkVJ-Bu2U?is=Ygcy8HPKCZ0d4vIC

Mario Kart 64 https://youtube.com/shorts/AyVLvOHiGTg?is=aQLAT33MGp-Yayfo

How it works? Just choose your game, hit Play. It grabs the official PC port from that project's, and you choose to install on PC or Quest. Download is one file available on: https://github.com/RaYRoD-TV/MVRH/releases/latest

The software is super easy to use and even has a relaxing mood with some smooth music on the background.

MVRH even install HD texture packs in some games like Mario Kart 64, this is the cherry on the top!

The only major flaw? MVRH listed Smash Bros, F-Zero X and Diddy Kong Racing, but when we press "Play", it shows a message saying these mods are coming soon!

For more on his work, like the Metaverse game, and how to support the developer, go to his site: https://rayrodtv.com

Thanks Ray TV for bringing us those great mods!

Important info for PSVR2 users (Steamvr resolution settings)

Just wanted to share some info with everyone as it has plagued me for months. I have been trying to get heavy games (MSFS24 and Skyrim MGO) running well for months. FINALLY had a breakthrough last night. Apparently the game specific video resolution settings in SteamVR act as a multiplier for your resolution. The only thing that told me this was Fpsvr app in Steam. So for example, Global settings were at 150% Default (for some reason), and Skyrim settings were at 70%. That made my total resolution set at 105%. That high of a resolution was murdering my GPU.

Recommended settings

Set global to 100% and then change the resolution in video under the specific game to whatever you want for your actual resolution (from what I read, best is 90hz, 68%). This absolutely fixed most of the GPU throttling that I had been running into for months.

PS, Definitely get fpsvr to see what you are actually running in game.

Hope it helps people with issues I had (shimmer and jitters mostly).

UPDATE: A few guys said 150% global setting is best. I will say that in my particular skyrimvr game, they weren't wrong. It is far clearer and image than 68% and doesn't run THAT much slower. So I'd say, try both settings!!

Can someone help me understand

Psvr2 wired vs Quest 3 wireless - i feel like when im playing a game on psvr2, the frame time would be under 7ms for both gpu and cpu but I would be getting like 75 frames. If i played the same game with the same resolution on quest 3- im running at maybe 1 or 2 frame time and a stable 120.

Im confused by this as I thought that a display port connection would hold up much better than a 6g wifi connection. Can someone clarify to me whats actually going on? Why my psvr2 on pc's performance lacks majorly. Ive tested it on several modded games such as half life 2 vr mod, resident evil 9 vr mod and others. It all seems to come out that quest runs better for me and I want to understand why. Is it the compression? Or something else

Running on as similar i can get to godlike on vd resolution, around about 3400x3000 or close enough

Obviously fixes would be welcome but id just like to understand why. Any feedback is welcome!

[HELP] Bought PSVR2 at Launch, Never Used It… Now I JUST Want Skyrim VR on PC – What Do I Do?!

So, I’ve had a PSVR2 since day one and I’ve probably used it like… a couple hours total. Since then it’s just been sitting on a shelf looking pretty (yes, I dust it every single day like a psycho).

My girlfriend even got me the official Sony PC adapter so I can use it with my laptop, but I never set it up. Every time I read about all the settings, drivers, and steps, I just give up before I even start.

My dream is super simple: use my PSVR2 on PC to play Skyrim VR on Steam. I bought Skyrim VR years ago on sale and it’s been rotting in my library ever since. It’s time to actually shout “Fus Ro Dah” in VR.

My laptop specs:

– i9‑11900H

– RTX 3070

– 32 GB RAM

Can someone explain this to me like I’m five: how do I get PSVR2 working with SteamVR (especially Skyrim VR)?

I’m looking for:

– Super basic step‑by‑step with the Sony adapter

– What software/drivers I really need

– Common issues to avoid (tracking, motion sickness, performance, etc.)

– Any suggested settings for this kind of hardware

I’ve been procrastinating on this for way too long, so I’d seriously appreciate a no‑bullshit, beginner‑friendly walkthrough. Thanks in advance!

PSVR2 TOOLKIT 1.0 - how to set floor height and define play area?

I tried PSVR2 TOOLKIT 1.0 resently, the original play area app doesn't show up in the tab anymore, and the default floor height is much lower than the actual height. I'm wondering how to adjust it? Thank you guys. :)
