Creatinine Levels

Idk if it’s the right sub for this query or not but I’d love some help.

For context, I have kidney issue by birth and I’ve been on medication and take tests to check up my health

Now I had a test around last week and when my father got back with results he told me my creatinine levels are above normal and I need to lower them and maintain it. I’ve been told to cut off meat for now (yes just before bakra Eid)

Now I need help in knowing what foods to cut off or consume less and which foods to eat more so I can lower and maintain the creatinine levels. Thank you

Need Guidance on entry tests

Recently I learned that some universities like Aga Khan and shifa offer their own tests. However now I am confused are the Aga khan and shifa test alternatives to MDCAT or do you have to give both. I also learned that NUMS has its own test. Is the NUMS test different from the MDCAT? Also whats the situation with NUMS I heard that it had 15 universities under it. Do we have to give the NUMS exam if we have to go into one of those as I really want to get into NSHS. I'd be grateful if someone could guide me.

About to start house job and worried about finances

Hi everyone. I recently completed MBBS and I’ll be starting my house job in about a month. To be honest, I’ve been feeling pretty stressed about finances lately. House job pay isn’t great, and once transport/petrol costs and daily expenses are added in, I’m genuinely worried about how I’m going to manage everything.

I’m trying to figure out realistic ways to earn some extra income alongside house job, preferably something flexible that I can do around hospital timings.

If anyone has gone through house job or a similar phase, how did you handle finances? What worked for you? I’d really appreciate honest and realistic advice.

Canadian Pathway

Hello everyone, hope you're all doing fine. I'm a 4th year MBBS medical student from Pakistan who wants to pursue the Canadian medical licensing pathway. For the first few years USMLE was my top priority but it looks quite unrealistic for me due to my financial circumstances and saturation/competition of American pathway. One of the many reasons i'm choosing the Canadian pathway is that I have an extended family in Canada who are willing to help me in the visa process and living with them which would greatly reduce my costs. The thing is I'm not quite familiar with how the licensing works for imgs there, few things I know are Canadians prioritise their own grads and the only residency spots available for imgs are family medicine which I'm completely okay with, I like family medicine. I'm starting the preparation for MCCQE and it will be tremendously helpful if anyone who has gone through this pathway explain it and how easy/hard is it to get into residency there or link me up with someone who is familiar with this topic.. Thank you for your help in advance.

I'm in a perpetual state of grief

I am not in the medical school I want to be in, I don't have the university life I envisioned, there are no events to make up for any of this misery and I feel like I'm missing out on so much. I know I could probably migrate to a better one in a few years but sometimes it feels as if I'm destined to misery. I'm so sad all the time about this topic and the thought of leaving this place plagues me. I think about dropping out at least 20 times a week and I'm so sad about it, I know I got very fortunate to get into a school with a merit and passing percentage as high as it is but I feel as if I'm missing out on every possible experience that I could, I don't want to live this way

Admission in MBBS again.

Hi ,
I was a MBBS student and was doing good (getting above 70% marks in Profs). In my fourth year I was involved in a serious disciplinary issue and was expelled. It was really heartbreaking and life changing for me as I just about started preparing for USMLE at that time and had a goal to move to US.
My question is there any chance I can get admission in MBBS again, or even in abroad universities.
If abroad, I will be looking for a chill Uni with minimal participation as I already know the stuff.
Thanks
