If you had no past, were you able to accept a partner who did?

I’m a guy in my early 20s, and my partner and I love each other a lot. She loves me deeply and I love her just as much. I don’t want to leave her.

The problem is that she had been involved with two people before me. I personally didn’t have a relationship in the past, so this has been difficult for me to process. Most of the time I’m completely fine, but sometimes thoughts about her past get stuck in my head and completely destroy my peace.

I know her past happened before me, and I know she chose me and loves me now. I also don’t want to punish her for something she did before we were together. I have known her since childhood and I know woh aik buri insaan nahi hai.

But marriage is a serious decision, and I’m scared of making that commitment only to spend years wondering about her past. What if I never truly get over it? What if these thoughts keep coming back for the rest of my life?

For those of you who didn’t have a past yourselves but married someone who did: were you actually able to accept it and move on? Did the thoughts eventually become irrelevant, or did they continue bothering you?

I’m not looking for people to tell me to simply “get over it.” I genuinely want to hear from people who have been in this situation and what happened over time.

How to study microbiology?

From now onwards, the UHS exams are going to be MCQs based solely on what is the correct strategy for studying microbiology?

Is it important to study from Levinson ya Sketchy would suffice?

Does life actually get better after med school?

Currently in medical school and honestly, I’m finding the lifestyle pretty miserable. I’m trying to figure out whether I’m just going through the “med school phase” or if being a doctor is going to feel the same.

For those in Internal Medicine residency or practicing after residency in the US: what does your typical schedule actually look like? What time do you start/end, how many days a week do you work, and what does your time off look like?

I’ve heard about things like 7-on/7-off for hospitalists, so I’d also like to know what life is realistically like after residency.

Basically: does life get significantly better after med school, or am I signing up for more of the same?

Honest answers appreciated.

Seedhi baat, no bakwas

Hi. M23 here. Don’t know a lot of people in Multan and I was wondering if there’s any fwb culture in the city.

If anyone’s interested, please dm because I don’t usually read comments.

P.S. People interested in moral policing should stay away.

A hoe’s final form is a religious woman

I’ve been seeing a phrase all over social media lately that goes something like, “A hoe’s final form is a religious woman.” It’s obviously provocative, but it got me wondering what people actually think rather than what gets the most likes online.

Do you think someone’s past permanently defines them? If someone had a promiscuous phase or made mistakes when they were younger, then later became genuinely religious, changed their lifestyle, and regretted those choices, are they still “tainted” in your eyes?

I’m not asking whether actions have consequences. They obviously do. I’m asking whether people can truly leave their past behind, or if it’s something that will always define them regardless of how much they’ve changed.

If you’ve experienced something like this yourself, or have been in a relationship with someone who had a past, I’d be interested to hear how it affected your perspective.

Please keep it respectful. I’m genuinely curious what people think, not looking to start a gender war.

I need advice from doctors here

Started clinical rotations and now I don’t think I want to do medicine anymore.

I’m honestly confused about what I want to do with my life.

For years my plan was simple: finish MBBS, take the USMLE, move to the US, become a doctor.

Now I’ve started clinical wards and… I just don’t like it.

I don’t enjoy being in the hospital. I hate waking up early every day. The long hours don’t appeal to me at all. I look at the residents and consultants and instead of thinking, “I want to be like them,” I just think, “I don’t want this life.”

It’s making me question everything.

I’m thinking maybe I should just finish MBBS since I’ve already come this far, then prepare for CSS instead. I’ve also always wanted to own a business someday, and for some reason that future sounds more exciting to me than residency.

The problem is I can’t tell if I’m genuinely in the wrong career or if I’m just burnt out and overthinking things.
Has anyone else gone through this during MBBS? Did you leave medicine after graduating? If you did, what are you doing now? Do you regret it?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who’ve actually been in this situation.
