Leather dashboard protectant

I'm a fairly experienced DIY detailer, but this is my first go around with a full leather interior in my 2024 Panamera. The dashboard was recently replaced under CPO with only 6,500 miles. Upon purchase, I noticed it was warped with a few leather bubbles. The car was sitting in a hot outdoor dealer's lot for a while. I now have it parked under cover, day and night, and use a sunshade whenever parked outside.

I have my own routine for the rest of the leather, including a monthly wipe with a damp, soft microfiber soaked in highly diluted interior cleaner (3D LVP or DIY Rinseless) and the occasional protectant from a few ultra-premium brands. I realize the leather is coated, but I still like the protectant on certain areas, especially on this car, which has had more exposure than normal for its age.

Now that I have a fresh, matte dash, I am hesitant to use anything aside from a quick wipe with the mostly water solution. I also recently bought a bottle of Leatherique Pristine Clean, which supposedly has light-cleaning and light-protectant qualities. I am considering using that.

For those who have had full leather interiors for some time, what have you had good success with, especially on the dashboard?

ACC Radar replacement

Hello, I have brought 12' Pana "with ACC" but it was damaged on the front bumper by the previous owner and he didn't want to replace the radar, so my question is if I buy a replacement radar will it work without calibration? The cables are there and the steering wheel acc stalk is there.

Look how they massacred my boy!

Just scrolling on marketplace trying to find something cool when I came across this. I’ve seen him driving in my city a few times, and it looks even more ridiculous in person.

PDK service

Hey guys, bought my 2016 GTS last year from the original owner, very well maintained, always been serviced at Porsche. I bought it at around 98k kms, it is now at 101. The major service is due at 54k or every 4 years. Checking the service history it shows the major was done in 2020 and plugs were replaced, but the pdk was not serviced. Is it common practice for Porsche to waive the 4 years on the pdk and wait for the mileage instead? I am currently driving a pdk that has never been serviced and it is starting to make me nervous...

Did you compare the MB E350

All,

Did you test drive the MB E350 and compare it against the Panamera? What was significant to you that made the Panamera the better choice?

Thank you.

Do you guys know any Porsche Dealerships that do PPI in Dallas area?

Hi, I called porsche plano (they transferred me to some central call center) and they said that they don't do PPI inspections. Do you guys know of any porsche dealerships in this area that do PPI inspections (or if plano does it and the call center just didn't know).

New car - Few complaints

First, my bad for the TERRIBLE picture and dirty garage. My new-to-me panamera 4 e-hyybrid finally came today and I just wanted to say I have a few complaints right off the bat. First, the ride is ROUGH compared to my s-class, I knew it wouldn't be as good, but to be completely honest the suspension is like a honda civic. Second, the car is SLOW and I mean very slow, it got delivered with 0% charge in the battery, so I'm suspecting thats why its so slow, but didn't realize that without the electric boost its SO slow. Third, this car feels HEAVY compared to my s-class. These are my first thoughts as soon as driving the car, as always a new car will require some adjustments, these are just some things I noticed right off the bat. But now on to the positives, this car looks AMAZING, I love the black wheels contrasting with the chalk and all the black accents, I also like the green accents some places. It just looks so good, the interior quality is also amazing. I think overall, it will be a big adjustment I just hope it wasn't a bad decision buying this car. I test drove the new one (when I test drove it, it had full battery charge) and that one drove different, didn't feel as heavy, and was much faster (also probably due to battery being charged).

Hybrid Panamera (4 E-Hybrid) vs non-hybrid Panamera 4 for high-mileage driver? Real-world experiences please

Hey everyone,

I'm strongly considering a new/nearly new Panamera and trying to decide between the 2017 Panamera 4 (non-hybrid) and the 2018 4 E-Hybrid. I drive a lot — a few hundred miles per week commuting/highway, plus 1-2 longer road trips (500+ miles) per month. Fuel efficiency and range on long hauls are important to me, but I also want the performance and driving feel Porsche is known for.

I've heard the non-hybrid can get 550-600 miles on a full tank, while the hybrid is more like 500-550 miles. Is this accurate in real-world conditions (mostly highway, 70-80 mph)? How do the hybrids actually perform on long trips once the battery is depleted? Do you notice the extra weight? Any major reliability differences or regrets going hybrid vs pure gas?

Bonus questions for hybrid owners:

  • How's the real-world mpg on longer drives (highway, no opportunity to plug in often)?
  • Charging at home/work — worth it for your usage?
  • Any issues with the hybrid system on high-mileage cars?

Appreciate any owner experiences, especially from people who put serious miles on their cars. Thanks!

Must have mods/tweaks for a 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo?

I just picked up a 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo as my daily to complement my 911's. It's my first Panamera so looking forward to having touring as a daily.

What are some most have mods and tweaks for a Panamera 971? So far I've noted:
- PCM CarPlay fullscreen mod + Android Auto

Thanks you.

Best,
Kenneth

2016 Panamera S

Hello everyone. I recently purchased this 2016 Panamera S, and so far I have loved this car!

HOWEVER, I am wondering if there is a way to permanently disable the auto stop feature?
I turn it off almost all the time, but it is really annoying when I forget to turn it off.
Thanks in advance!

question about inspection

Hi sorry for postingn agian, I purchased a 2019 Porsche panamera 4 ehybrid and the dealership I bought it from has a very good warranty that will cover anything that needs to be done for the first few weeks you have the car. Porsche dealerships around me such as Porsche Plano and Porsche McKinney (Service center) all have this on their website:

https://preview.redd.it/89wnerugxe0h1.png?width=888&format=png&auto=webp&s=d4cee0f012e898f9a93a9861a762453faf2bad4c

Do you guys have any experience with this? Will it cover everythingn in the car and inspect thourougly, im guessing that they will because they most likely just want to make money from the actual things they find, but I'm not sure. If not, do you guys know how much an actual very thorough inspection will be, inspecting everything including battery health?
