I'm not sure how the star-shaped board would effect how the game works, but I just assumed it was just a fancier rectangular board.

We're also going to ignore the fact that apparently players can make multiple moves per turn (The Red Prince complains about Ruby taking up his turn, after all), and that the pieces duel for capturing. Obviously if the pieces have to duel, then it's a forced win for red since I'm pretty sure the red pieces are always stronger than the white ones.

Another thing I'm just going to gloss over is that the pawns would just get stuck behind one another, and since the board is 8 tiles wide, that means, technically speaking, the most number of pawns you can get to the other side of the board is 8. So I'm gonna modify the rule to be "number of pawns stuck on the other side of the board."

Pawn games are usually either a forced win or extremely tedious. Hexapawn, the most famous example of pawn-only chess games is a forced win for the second player.

In fact, I will garuntee you that every chess game that's only pawns is either a forced win or a very tedious game with mindless trading of material until the last 15 moves, where zugzwang ideas finally appear.

Honestly, I'm glad it got turned into a fight scene, because there is so much wrong with the game.

The game starts off with a completely forced opening. Since there's only a two square gap between pawns, and the pawns can't defend each other because of how they move, the game will always be like this after 17 moves:

If you're wondering why it won't be the other "spike pattern," it's because this pattern maximizes the number of pawns closer to the centre, making it the best set of moves. However, even if the opening looks slightly different, it wouldn't matter because Black just immediately wins 8 pawns.

In the position shown above, it's White's turn. Notice how every legal move results in losing a pawn? This is what the board looks like on move 25

and as you've probably guess, this is what the board looks like after the 49th move

And this is where things get a big finnicky. Unless I'm mistaken, stalemate rules are never mentioned, meaning if Black captures White's last pawn here, it could just be a draw. But it's not like that matters anyway, since it's pretty obvious that the player with 28 passed pawns is going to win.

Obviously, since it's White to play here, if capturing all pieces means checkmate, then the whole game is an M50. If the stalemate scenario I mentioned above applies, then it's M54, since it will only take Black 4 more moves to push two pawns to the end of the board, and it doesn't take a genius to realize that 2>1.

So at this point, we just don't even know why players even try to play against The Red Prince. The forced win in 54 moves is obvious with all 54 moves being, well, forced for White. And you can't even blame the them for cheating since that's the only way to win as the first-moving player. The game's just a glorified version of Hexapawn.

The only 2 games of Hexapawn. The left image shows White pushing the left pawn first (pushing the right pawn first is just a mirrored version of this), and the right image shows White pushing the middle pawn first. Both games end in Black winning.

Changing the pieces out for normal pawns does make it a bit better, but, also as I mentioned, that would just make the game needlessly boring with no strategy at all for the first 90% of the game.

Of cours, as I mentioned earlier, the star-shaped board could possibly have some effect on the game, but since we never actually properly see the wedges change something, along with the fact that the whole game is just pawns, the game would probably still be a forced win for red, anyway.

Yes, I know its the Hound behind her making it look like she has them, but still.

I went on to rewatch RWBY recently and still am—And I began analyzing and following alot of the characters that are supposed to have tons of impact to the story...And that's how I got to Jaune. And oh my goodness. So if we have to recap...

• He dealt with the bullying and having to pick himself from the ground-up after faking his way into Beacon

• Experience Pyrrah's love AND death, while also learning briefly about the maiden lore

• Fought Cinder TWICE while having PTSD about Pyrrah and Beacon

• Witness Weiss basically dying and had to be the one to bring her back

• Was the one to kill Penny once she became human

• And then have it all stir together as he's the Rusted Knight in the most recent volume

He literally can NOT catch a break in the entire series, but at the same time...Somehow, has no genuine growth or character development outside of him getting a haircut, meeting his family, and training ONCE with Pyrrah's instructions on repeat. And it's actually frustrating.

Ruby, Blake, Weiss, Yanga, Lie Ren, Nora, even Qrow and Summer Rose, dare I even say the butchered version of Adam we came to know along with The White Fang arc as a whole...All had proper depth, multiple episodes, and building on who they are in many different instances and showed their growth into more dominant/staple characters as the series continued.

I once said here that Jaune's anger and frustration towards Cinder—At a bare minimum—Should've had more fueling and growth onto him as a whole. He is one of the only people who knew that Cinder was the culprit behind everything that had happened in Beacon. The most screwed up part is that it's implied that he just knew about Pyrrah's death once it was all over...Probably through Ruby saying it or something. (Look at the Volume 3 finale and the ending/transition to Volume 4) And he just takes it on the chin with no real remorse

(Unless you count the 40second statue scene in Atlas that came like 2-3 volumes later).

But still, even then...The Jaune that was screaming and collapsing after Pyrrah sent him away and the Jaune that we were introduced to Volume 4 are vastly different. He's soaked up so much random trauma and punishment throughout the series, but they do nothing with it. It just makes me ask..."What's the point of doing this to him specifically?" The more I rewatch it. What do y'all think though?

As the title says Pyrrha should’ve been some sort of weirdo, hell it didn’t have to be anything big, just some strange hobby she did.

I mean seriously she‘s a:

1.) A closeted person who has had literally no friends

2.) Never able to express her real self due to PR

3.) She’s a celebrity and alot of those people have weird hobbies.

And I don’t mean something simple as “Oh sue doesn’t brush her teeth, hahaha.”

I mean something genuinely weird.

Like eating toothpaste out the tube or something .

By that I mean other androids or robots who could possibly be sentient

Basically the prototype models that aren't fully human looking but slowly but surely are getting there with each iteration becoming more penny like

Would some resent here see her as the younger sister that must be protected or is it the other way around where penny feels like she has to protect them

I like to think he has a large paladin that she calls her little brother that was originally made to be her body guard when she didn't have proper weapons systems yet named # or pound

When I first saw Whitley I was also so, disturbed by him

The way he talks feels so inelegantly inhuman, to me he never felt like a real character. He felt line something Jacque specifically created

Every time I saw him it felt like any moment he might snap and kill someone

Listen I’m not trying to be insensitive but the show hits you over and over the head how problematic the Schnee family can be. So seeing someone basically worshipping his bigoted abusive father is unsettling

( side note I was looking back at his scenes and I think majority of the reasons I find him weird is how bright the lightning was when he was introduced. He looked so unnatural in it, it had to be intentional)

For me personally

Ruby would probably turn herself into a whirl wind tornado of petals or could do the teleportation like she did in Justice League x RWBY: super heroes and huntsman part 2

Weiss would summoning arma giga armor around herself

Blake could make multi shadow clones and fight with her

Finally yang could probably empower herself on fire to get stronger

Do you think that maybe if she hadn't pushed the panic button and yelled at Jaune about the martial law intentions, things could have been different? Would James and Penny still be alive? Are the writers aware of this hypothetical question? I don't know, man, but it keeps me up at night.

ruby could play the guitar

Weiss could be the vocalist or play the piano

Blake could play the bass guitar

And finally yang could play the drums
