Firstly is introduction. When we first see Salem, she’s monologging to.. nobody. It’s a speech to the audience not to the characters. It makes her interesting yes, but only to the audience. Never get a chance to know how threatening she is. I legitimately thought it was a fan film because how strong Cinder was I didn’t get the impression someone could be stronger

Thragg was kept faceless, at the end of the episode we see him in his glory . Conquest, the new villain who nearly killed the main characters is completely terrified by his ruler. Bowing, begging to kill him and make it painful. And the only thing he says is “ No”

This shows Thragg reputation. A man so violent and terrifying the previous villain begs death because that’s the only honourable end he deserves. Only to Thragg to deny it, keeping him on a tight leash

It be a perfect contrast. Carden is a dumb selfish loud brute, while velvet is shy and quiet. Their character arc could interlude. Seeing Carden apologizing to his sister for being so aggressive
While Velvet forgives him and knows he’s just being protective

Give more of them to do then just “ be a bully”
Or “ be a nerd” actually fleshing them out and giving them more of a deeper personality
