Thin and curly leaves - otherwise normal growth. Why?

Tent is kept at 80-90 F, 80-90% humidity, with airflow from an overhead fan. I water when the top of the soil looks dry, and added some extra fertilizer just in case it was nutrient lack. Any ideas of what it could be?

There's hope?

Hello everyone.

Second time grower here, I wanted to restart after 10years. First things first ordered the easiest way a zamnesia cut cause I don't know where else to get it now. 12 days of shipping and I received her like that. I'm a little bit sad. I'm hoping that the lowest internode seems to be growing something .. but the top is rotting right? There's hope? Should I leave her in the original agar since it's so small and weak? Thanks to everyone that will help!

I think my plants are collapsing again

¡Hola!

Hace unas semanas publiqué un mensaje para evitar cometer los mismos errores con mis nuevas plantas. Pero parece que está pasando de nuevo. Algo anda mal y no sé qué es.

¿Alguna idea?

Estoy usando agua destilada (solo un poquito porque no quiero que se pudran las raíces) y hummus de lombriz como fertilizante que añadí ayer por ver si mejoraban

¡Gracias!

Hi, Canada! Who would be interested? 🇨🇦🌱

I've recently obtained this rooted cutting. I've been caring for it for over a week now, and it has graduated from its humidity dome. The strain is known as MoonMan, with origins as a seed grown cultivar crossed between Luna x Hofmann/Wasson. Obviously, it would be a little while before I am able to make clones, but in the meantime, I am wondering, how many people living in Canada would be interested in my cuttings if I were to start propagating them?

Does salvia need pruning?

Hi all,

I have a salvia plant that I’ve made recent posts about, and I’m wondering if salvia plants need pruning. The older / bigger leaves are starting to become chlorotic on my salvia plants and they’re becoming very bushy.

Should I remove the big leaves so the smaller leaves can receive light?

Thanks!

First time rooting in water any advice appreciated

So long story short i got a cutting from a friend that he gave up on it... He immediately potted it and the plant seemed unhappy.. probably wrong soil mix and temperature swings.. so i took it from him to revive it.. i removed it from the pot and i placed it in a cap of water so more roots appear.. the cutting is pretty tall and young though... As you can see in pics i have it in a makeshift dome spraying it 3 times a day.. my question is how can help it root in more places of its stem.. there is one node that can root but its pretty far up from its bottom roots. Is there anything i can do to help root in more places on the stem? Thanks in advance EDIT: more pics of the stem close up in comments:)

Thanks Crispy for my Salvia Garden

Got these 4 plants from Crispy and they are finally set up in my little basement garden. So far I'm very happy with them.

Tips on chopping/propping, and encouraging bushy growth?

I have a beautiful rooted plant, about 15in tall in a 32oz pot, that's been doing well acclimating to my home humidity and grow lights, but she's pretty lanky and tall right now, and has been working hard on growing new leaves after she lost most of hers in shipping.

I am hesitant to chop and prop because I love her and don't want to stress her out too much, she's currently being supported by a bamboo stick and doing alright. However, I do believe that giving her a bit of a cut might help her in the long run by helping her redirect her energy to new leaves and more roots.

How can I successfully chop and prop without stressing her out too much? What have your experiences been?

Thank you in advance 🌱❤️

New plants

I just received 3 new Salvia divinorum plants bought from the same nursery where I bought my previous 3 (Rest in peace). The previous plants died little by little; the leaves became necrotic around the edges and finally the stem ended up rotting. I tried everything, a transplant to a bigger pot... but nothing was enough.

This time I am going to care for them less. I am going to try to let them acclimate by themselves to this homemade greenhouse that I set up for them. I know it is small but it is merely educational.

The thing is, I am afraid of ending up in the same spot as with the previous ones. I don't know if the substrate comes too wet.

I have seen sprintails but also millipedes, or centipedes, I don't know what they are and I would appreciate it if you could help me with this. What do you think? Do they bite? I don´t want a plague in my house lol

Regarding temperature, I maintain about 70-88 humidity and 26-29ºC. The fan is on 5 min - 30 min off

I have the light on for 12 hours outside the greenhouse.

Thank you so much!!!!

Any idea why the top leaves are curling?

They get about 150-200ish ppfd light and I’ve fertilized it once with masterblend tomato fertilizer at half strength. They’re in fox farms ocean forest and perlite. Why are the leaves curling like this?

My plant is dying

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice because I feel like my plant is slowly dying and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

The plant arrived in good condition, but since then it has been steadily declining.

Here's what I've done so far:

Repotted it into regular potting soil mixed with additional perlite for better drainage.

Added a layer of clay pebbles (LECA) at the bottom of the pot to help prevent waterlogging.

Initially, the soil was quite moist (not soaking wet), and I kept a plastic bag over the plant for about a week. At that time the bag had no ventilation holes, and I didn't open it during that period.

After doing some research, I became worried that the soil might have been too wet, so I repotted the plant again into fresh soil.

I then added ventilation holes to the bag.

The soil is now only slightly moist, definitely not wet.

The plant is currently in my grow tent under a 60W grow light at approximately 50 cm (20 inches) distance.

I remove the bag once a day and mist the plant with water.

Current symptoms:

Two leaves have already fallen off.

Two leaves got black / brown

The remaining leaves feel rather dry.

The leaves are slightly curled/rolled up.

Overall, the plant seems to be getting weaker every day.

Cutting went pretty well

Took a cutting a while ago cause my plant was turning black and I think both plants are now doing better. Any suggestions on what else i can do to help them get a little bushier.
