Looking for genuine friends in Sargodha

Hey guys, I'm Ari, 18, currently in 11th grade studying pre-medicine. I took a 2-year gap from school because of my mental health, and honestly that gap taught me more about myself than any textbook has.
- A few things about me:
> I'm obsessed with human psychology, like genuinely fascinated by why people do what they do. If you're into psych too, we're basically already friends.
> I have ADHD (diagnosed in 2024) and BPD (and probably a few other things I haven't fully figured out yet). I've been in therapy for about 4 years, so I'm not new to this stuff, just still learning.
> I'm a pretty sensitive person and I carry some emotional baggage. I'm not hiding it, it's just part of who I am.

What I'm looking for:

> I want real friends, guys, girls, doesn't matter. What matters is that you're a real person who can hold a deep conversation without turning it into a performance. No bullshit, no surface-level small talk on repeat. I want to actually talk, about life, about ourselves, about the weird stuff going on in our heads. Yes IK its internet but, lets try ending the thing where ppl say that ppl on internet are always dangerous.
> No judgment here, ever. Whatever you're going through or dealing with, I'm not going to look at you differently for it. I've been on the other side of that too many times to do it to someone else.
> I love people who are loud in the sense that they don't shrink themselves for anyone. People who don't care what society expects and just are who they are. People who genuinely love themselves. not in a narcissistic way, just in a healthy, secure way. Not toxic, not fake, just real and grounded.

If any of this resonates with you, drop a comment or DM me. Would love to actually get to know people from my own city for once.

Narrow minded

Why are sargodhians so narrow minded. I mean like come on, as a male I go out in shorts and everyone is looking at me. Once someone even stopped me telling me where I am from and then saying this is Sargodha not your house. And btw my shorts weren’t revealing or anything.

Starting University? READ THIS!.

*I wrote something for people entering the university phase of their life. Hope it helps yall. Questions are very much welcome.*

First things first, Put a smile on your face, be humble, be respectful. Ignore the bad, acknowledge the good. Try to complain as little as possible. Respect women, treat them as humans. Dont fall in love, don't go after someone. Your uni time is for you to learn and grow yourself, not for you to fulfill you romantic fantasies. Socialise, make friends of both genders. Life is as fun as your group of friends. Someone once said "Enjoy karo gay to maza aye ga" sounds like gibberish but works surprisingly well.

Step 1: Studies.

It isn't that complicated. Teachers share lecture slides and each lecture is given through those lecture slides. The best approach is to listen carefully in the class and make notes. Then revise at home. If you do this daily you will perform better than 80% of the students there. Uni course isnt that complicated every quiz assignment mids ot finals comes from the concepts explained in the lecture slides or the lecture that the teacher gives. Uni is way easier than college the syllabus isn't that lengthy too. If you study for 1-2 hours daily you will find it very easy.

Step 2: Teachers.

Socialise with the teachers, visit their office in the second week let them know you are eager to learn and ask them for tips or resources to help master the course, you presence should be acknowledged.

Step 3: Groups.

You will need to form groups for projects and group tasks. Try to form a group with people who will work and will be fun to work with. University groups will teach you a lot expect some drama.

Step 4: Skills.

Now that covers the syllabus part. To excel in your specific field you need to do some extra curricular research in that field. Look for domains, courses and skills and try to learn them. Then learn how does market respond to that skill. Pick anything and dive headfirst. Practice by making personal projects.

Step 5: Extracurricular.

Chances are you will wanna join a club. Join it, dont mind the "free ki mazdori" you will be doing at the start. But beware of some fazool people. Attend events, participate in events.

Now here comes in the socialising with teachers part. Let them know what extracurricular field related work you have been researching/pursuing. Teachers are excellent connections as they already have tons of connections and will want to help you.

Connect with seniors, not the wannabe types but the actual working seniors who are performing extraordinarily. Connect with them, market your skill.

Above all dont let anyone demotivate you. 7 out of ten people will demotivate you, ridicule you or would try to convince you that what you are doing isn't worth anything but dont listen to them, Trust in yourself and trust in Allah.

If you manage to do these things you will excel easily not only in uni but also in your field.

Apologies for the bad writing, if you want me to delve deeper in a particular topic feel free to ask.

Goodluck.

SRC 14th Aug Road trip

Sargodha Riders Club organized a road trip through Soon valley.

The trip was mostly off road. The paths lead through villages that time forgot and roads that were non existent. The journey was tough and grueling and Slipping and Sliding on dangeroush curvy paths common. We made it, to all the places.

First up was Jhalar Lake near Jhalar Village. Next was the most intense ride of our lives. A couple of hours of slipping and sliding on rocky hills and muddy meadows, no commerce for hours on end and we made it to the temples of Amb Sharif. From there we returned to the most beautiful vantage point to see Soon Valley.

Descending to Uchali Village and resting a few minutes at Uchali Lake Board Walk, we started towards the toughest one yet. Kufri top. It is the high point beyond Kufri Village and you can see for miles from up there.

Finally, to one of my bucket list item, Chashma Deep Sharif. This ride was surprisingly tough. Road was non existent, gravel was replaced with big rocks that threw the bikes left and right. And if there wasn't rocks, it was very slippery mud. We made it with barely some sun left, tooka quick dip and started back in darkness.

All in all, we started at 8AM and by 9PM we had dinner and we're home by 11.

Places to go.

What are some good places to go to spend time during the day or evening. Be it alone or with someone.

Like places you can go and have fun. As for me it was bowling but I don't think there's such a place in Sargodha. But if there is I would be happy to know.

Need reviews of Jugnu Salon 💇🏻‍♀️

Please lmk if you have personal experience with Jugnu Salon Sargodha. I have to get a haircut, I hate getting my hair cut by someone because 9/10 times, they don't listen to what you want and just do whatever. I have been cutting my own hair for last 3+ years and love it but it is so hot these days and I don't feel like doing it.

I am considering Jugnu because they have great reviews online, I have tried both Sonia and Sania in past and had a verrrry mid experience at both. So please don't recommend those. Open to other recommendations. Also if you can mention the specific hairdresser at Jugnu that you recommend that will be great.

Alsoooo, my sister has to get Keratin treatment, for that someone recommended Sania, but I am not sure, so please add recommendations for that as well if you can. TIA.

Looking to learn more about Sargodha

Assalamaikum, I am from India. My family migrated here after 1947; my grandmother was born in Sargodha city and her father was born in Bhalwal, we are originally from Khushab district.

I recently got to learn that our family were fairly well off and prominent figures in Bhalwal district before 1947 when we like other Sikhs from the region went to India. Because of this I have become more intrigued about Sargodha and its history. Unfortunately my grandmother is too young to remember anything about Sargodha and nobody in my family other than her is from this area.

I want to learn more about Sargodha because it seems like a rich area in history and furthermore it's one of the areas in my family history I know least about (my other grandparents are from KPK and Rawalpindi which are more well known to me). Regarding its history I only know about Sargodha being near Takht Hazara (of Heer Ranjha fame) and that the Noon family who are one of the most prominent in Pakistan are from the district.

Are there any websites or books which have info on this region of Punjab, or any interesting things about its history? I am also curious to know if the Gurudwara in Sargodha is still standing or if it - like many temples/gurdwaras in Lehnda side and many mosques in Charda side - is gone, as our family had a link to it. Finally I also wanted to learn about the Shahpuri dialect of Punjabi and how it differs from others and the regional culture.
