AUXDATA hours entry question

I’m a VFC right now and often spend about a half hour a day on emails, etc. I’m about to enter a bunch of time into AUXDATA and I’m wondering if it’s legit to just add up all the hours on a like-coded task together and note the days the hours cover.

For instance, if over the course of a week I do 4 hours for 99A can I just input them as one entry and note that it’s for several days? Or do I have to do each day separately? I’m glad to, if needed, but I feel badly for our FSO-IS who has to do the approval.

CGAUX FEMA GDA - Moodle

Hey folks, the CGAUX Q-Directorate just went live with its first training course on Moodle (CGAUX Classroom). It’s called “Module 1: Introduction to GIS and GDAs” and is open to all members. Module 1 includes a brief informational overview of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) & what are Geospatial Damage Assessments (GDAs). After learning about those topics members can apply to join the GDA program.

The FEMA GDA is a program that focuses on assessing damage within 72hrs after a disaster and after that period of time helping affected areas obtain emergency declarations. CGAUX volunteers work directly with FEMA & CG-OEM (Office of Emergency Management) and have made direct impacts on many disasters including the most recent Typhoon Sinlaku and Washington State record flooding.

I’m happy to answer any questions as I lead the program on the FEMA side and I’m an CGAUX member.

My flotilla leadership is lacking?

My flotilla is relatively small, and already I feel like a lot of the reasons I have not been able to complete certain tasks have been simply because of my leadership. Because what I am able to control, I have been able to get BQ within 1-2 days, get my boating within 1-2 days, basically whatever I needed or wanted to do I did within 1-2 days. But because of my leadership, my application packet wasn’t submitted for a month, and then while I may qualify for FSO roles (which my flotilla needs) I haven’t heard back, and then the PQ I have completed being PV (which took on its own 2 months to get scheduled for the check) has still yet to be submitted to my account for it to show up as something I have completed. While I am very much still interested in the Auxiliary, and I completely understand that this is all voluntary, I feel like it gets to a point. I am still interested, but I am lost. What can I do? What should I do?

Award gatekeeping

The COMREL boat show team manned a booth for 30 mins each.

The band spent 8 hours rehearsing, 1 full day at the airport traveling on their own expense, and 4 hours performing at a ceremony.

Answer me this:

Which group was awarded a ribbon?

Which group challenged the ribbon proposed to the other group?

Which group was denied a ribbon because of the challenge from the other group.

Why does this happen?

Retired USN here looking to join

Retired 04, looking to continue serving. I am an EMT and RN, plenty of sea time. I am wondering how I can serve in a medical capacity. Any underway opportunities for gapped medical billetts. Would love to do some duty on a cutter underway in the medical department.

AUXMU Aiguillette Uniform Guidlines?

Are there any guidelines written out there as to wearing the AUXMu Aiguillette? Ive heard that you can wear it all the time, you can only wear it when performing, you can wear it with the SDB, you can't wear it with the SDB, you can only get it through national, you can buy your own, you wear the button loop cord, you wear the pinned cord... so clearly I'm getting conflicting information from multiple sources. Surely it has to be written down somewhere??

ODU Roll help

Hello everyone, I need help with my ODU sleeve rolls. I've watched a lot of videos on how to do the rolls, so im fine there. The problem is I've built some muscle in my biceps from working out, and now when I try to roll my sleeves, I can't seem to fit my arm through the rolls. My question does anyone have any advice or a trick on how to fix this, or do I need to get a bigger ODU top?

MWR

Can Aux use MWR services from other branches? For example, Dept. of Air Force has their own beach in New England and the Navy has their own Campground in Maine?

Shield placement on service dress blue jacket

This is a stupid question and I should know or at least be able to find the answer but i just can’t find the info. I got a new SDB jacket and need to put the shield on the sleeve. What is the distance from the bottom of the sleeve to the shield? I want to say 2 inches for some reason but I can’t find anything in auxman

What is an Auxiliary SARDET?

I've noticed that across the East NR / SR districts there are flotillas with facilities called SARDETs, these seem to act similar to stations and, from what I can tell, usually have more "Coast Guard" like vessels, equipment, and signage (Marcus Point SARDET has a SAFE boat!)

Anyways what I am trying to figure out is if these "SARDETs" are a legacy of a Coast Guard program or if it is just a regional thing.

These are the only ones I could find that appear to be active, Claytor Lake appears to be ran by the VT AUP program so that explains that one but the others I am entirely in the air about.

SARDET Claytor Lake

SARDET Smith Mountain Lake

SARDET Lake Anna

SARDET Marcus Point

SARDET Bower's Beach

SARDET Long Level

Finally got my number!

Finally received the email containing my number as well as a brief description of what to do next. So for those waiting, here's my timeline:

July first meeting attended and met with FC and DC

August filled out and signed application as well as went ahead and prepaid dues to the DC

May 7th received acceptance email

Do know two others who had applied since I have also received their email yesterday as well so apparently things are finally moving.

Mission Code

What would the correct mission code be for "maintaining auxiliary-specific equipment on a boat facility"?

I'm getting 4 different answers with 3 being different ISs.
