32(f) need advice - Accendent put on my carfax but never happened

Trying to see if I can get any advice with this issue. I was going to trade my car in and get a new one. When they pulled my car history they saw my car had been in an “ accident “. My car has never been in an accident and I have the documentation to show that it was in getting work done for the time period.
I did get into an accident with a loaner car from the dealership. On the date that it shows my car was in the accident. They put the accident under the wrong VIN.
My issue is I’ve contacted everyone.
My dealer ship , the OPP , my insurance and the body shop that my dealership used to get the loaner vehicle fixed when the accident happened.
I tried to contact carfax and still 7 days later nothing.
I made sure to attach all documents and also ask who put the accident under my VIN. This has been almost a month of trying to figure this out and still I’ve gotten nothing.
The loaner car has been sold already and the damages were never put to carfax.
The only thing it says in the carfax for the loaner vehicle that it was in a minor accident. As I was the one who reported it.
But coincidentally when my car was getting worked on nothing was put into carfax and when the loaner car was fixed it wasn’t out into carfax.
I don’t know what else to do and there’s no way to talk to anyone from carfax

Built a free tool to check if a VIN has Copart/IAAI auction history (with photos) before you bid

Hey everyone — I’ve been lurking here for a while and figured I’d share something I built, fully transparent that I’m the one who made it (not trying to sneak in an ad).

I kept running into the same problem when checking cars before buying: CARFAX tells you accidents and owners, but it doesn’t tell you if the car was ever sold at a Copart or IAAI auction — which is exactly the thing a lot of us actually care about.

So I built thevincenter.com The auction history check is free — you put in a VIN and it tells you if there’s a match, with sale price, damage type, and photos from the lot. Full CARFAX reports are also available for $3.99 if you need the deeper history too.
Not trying to oversell it — genuinely just want to know if this is useful to people who actually buy at auction for a living, and what’s missing. Happy to answer any questions.

Carfax says Dage reported but no details.

I'm in the market for a used Chevy EV. The car I'm looking at is a lease return after 2 years with 30k miles.

The car was serviced at the same dealership throughout the 2 years.

There is a "damage reported" item in the report but no details. How do I find what it might have been. Dealer doesn't want to show me actual records of all work done on the car. They say they have no idea what this damage was.

This is overview of the Carfax report:

3 months, 5.5k Electrical system checked.

6 months, 9.5k brakes checked.

7 months, 10.5k tire rotation.

8 months, damage reported. That's it, no other details, no mileage, no details about type of damage etc.

13 months, 17k power steering checked, tires rotated

15 months 19.5k left sun visor replaced

17 months 21.5k left sun visor replaced

24 months Lease ended vehicle offered for sale

24 months 29.5k AC compressor replacement, 2 tires replaced, 4 wheel alignment, cabin filter replaced.

CARFAX important?

So looking at picking up a used model 3 in the next few weeks as per earlier post. Her new job starts in September and it’ll be minimum 100 kms per day and pushing 200 couple days a week. Think we can get away with regular range but keeping eyes open for a long range under 30k.
Finding a lot with big repair numbers but given how expensive they are to repair, not sure if I should regard carfax differently with these vehicles. Seems it’s not uncommon for some big numbers on collisions.
