Odd find: the “my name” starting the Cassidy puzzle in Mike’s arrow may just be Michael writing the phrase while every other use is actually from faded

For context, faded seems to mainly write in black while this page has faded’s phrase but in red, heavily implying this is Michael. Take this as you will since I feel like there’s many ways to interpret this but I just wanted to point that out

What I think Follow Me represents (and who I think the fifth spirit is)

Hello! Today I wanted to discuss Follow Me and my personal interpretation of the ending minigame and who the fifth spirit in the final minigame is. I noticed how popular of a topic this was recently and I thought to throw my hat into the ring.

Firstly, I think the final minigame is meant to be an inverse of the MCI, or essentially William getting a taste of his own medicine. What do we know about the MCI? William lured multiple children into a room, killed them, and supposedly kept their dead bodies in animatronics suits. Now what happens in the final Follow Me minigame? Multiple children lure William into a room and get him killed by having him accidentally getting springlocked, causing his body to remain in an animatronic suit. I don’t know how much I need to explain here if we’re being fully honest since I feel like this is incredibly obvious.

With that out of the way, I wanna analyze the three most popular options for the final spirit in Happiest Day who chases William down and who I think they are. The most popular choices include a fifth MCI kid (assumably Golden Freddy), the Bite Victim (also probably in Golden Freddy), and Charlie (the Puppet).

Firstly, I think it’s very easy and fair to rule out the Puppet. She wasn’t stuffed in a suit at all, which kinda defeats the whole point of the irony taking place here. The kids cause William to get stuck in a room and stuffed in a suit like how William lured them into a room and stuffed them all into suits. Also yes, I believe WillStuff far more than PuppetStuff, especially after the Mimic Saga having a character directly impersonating William (Glitchtrap) stuffing someone into a Freddy suit at the end of Pizza Party, which would follow the exact narrative of WillStuff. Can it be argued that this could be the Mimics memories meshing in with Williams in a similar vein to the Michael room in SB? Maybe, but the fact this is the only time we see an MCI victim (or a representation of one) getting placed in a suit in the games and the fact every other continuity (besides maybe Frights) pulls WillStuff as well seems to be heavily pointing towards that direction. I also don’t believe the fifth spirit is the Puppet simply due to the fact we don’t really see the Puppet working directly with the MCI as a team. They’re always seen as this upper leader or protector as opposed to a direct member. Stuff like GGGL, Save Them, the FNAF 2 dream sequences, and the end of Happiest Day all show different examples of Puppet purposefully being separated or seen above the other MCI in some way. Heck, for all we know the Puppet could be the only one responsible for the cake at the end of Happiest Day, meaning the other MCI were kinda just waiting around and only contributed by being at the party. This is further exemplified by the fact there’s not really a specific moment where it’s just the MCI and Charlotte working as a team in the games. The Puppet is possibly in the FNAF 1 building but doesn’t do anything, Charlotte works with everyone in FNAF 2 and even shows up before the Withereds, there’s the likelihood that Molten Freddy is just fueled by remnant instead of being controlled by any spirits (ruling out the MCI and Charlotte directly working together in FNAF 6, which should’ve been incredibly obvious by the fact William and Elizabeth are also here), and UCN is literally some kind of nightmare where anyone can work with anyone. I think the closest there is the fact 4/20 mode in FNAF 2 does lead to a star and does happen to include the Puppet, but that’s partly because the fact that the Puppet can’t be turned off at all in FNAF 2’s custom nights, so for all we know this could just be a reference to the first game with the Puppet just also happening to be here. Lastly, I’m pretty sure one of the Fazbear Frights stories by the name of “You’re the Band” once again depicts the Puppet as this above protector of the MCI instead of working with them. Granted this is a story in the last book where all the stories were assumably cut because they couldn’t fit into any of the other books, but at the same time I don’t think that truly devalues their canonicity or relevance when trying to understand certain characters (except Mike possibly not being Michael in this continuity but that honestly isn’t the biggest deal as it’s just one example and was also done in the movies too.)

Now who’s a character we know has worked with the other 4 MCI kids since night 4 of the first game? Golden Freddy. Golden Freddy also is grouped up with the MCI in multiple of the examples brought up above that Charlotte isn’t linked to such as them having the same sprite and being a ghost around the same time as the other kids in GGGL, them being around the same area or distance as the other MCI victims in the dream sequences, and them also getting cake and fading off around the same time and speed as the other MCI kids, unlike Charlotte fading off slower. Yes, Golden Freddy does often go off and do his own thing away from the MCI as seen in other minigames such as Save Them, but the night 4 call of FNAF 1 and even “The Week Before” (gameline or not I don’t think it’s entirely unreliable for understanding different characters) show him as this spirit who’s willing to join in later on and directly work with the other MCI if there’s a shared goal, with him taking on the role of an occasional leader. Now who else do we know as a spirit who’s willing to occasionally join the MCI after they begin doing something, is clearly connected to them to the point they can even possibly be considered an equal of sorts, and works directly with them in a leadership role? The fifth Follow Me spirit.

So if it’s Golden Freddy, that leaves us with the question as to whether it’s BV or a fifth MCI kid? Well I think this depends on multiple theories which I’ll bring up throughout this segment. This section will also be primarily under the scenario GoldenVictimSolo (even if I personally believe GoldenDuo). Firstly, BVStuffed. That’s probably the biggest one from a narrative standpoint since if Golden Freddy wasn’t stuffed into a suit by William, that would once again make this being William getting a taste of his own medicine make a lot less sense and kinda just ruin the point of the minigame to begin with. While I do believe the theory is possible, this also becomes somewhat problematic when you think about the fact it somewhat relies on multiple other theories which are incredibly flawed such as OrchestraBite (how did William consider Michael putting BV into Fredbear’s mouth), Cord Theory (when the plushies are shown fading off, arguably implying BV’s already slowly dying and fading into darkness which would kinda make him pulling the plug insignificant narratively since he was going to die anyways), and WillSpeaker (which doesn’t make all that much sense if he’s also the FNAF World speaker, especially if they’re interested in giving BV back his memories and even more questionable in the scenario World takes place in BV’s head since we get little to no implications of William being able to enter someone’s mind, and also the fact FNAF World may take place around 3 or UCN where Afton would be incredibly busy). Yes, William could’ve stilled stuffed BV into Golden Freddy for other reasons such as experimentation with the paranormal (which makes some form of sense unless you believe BVFirst or BVSpark), but without these I feel like the strongest evidence for this would be BVDreadbear (from a parallel standpoint), which is certainly possible but at the same time is also somewhat problematic as it implies BVTOYSNHK due to the red lake Easter egg (which I just don’t believe for multiple reasons such as there being no clear way William actually did kill BV, especially in the scenario BV never realized William was the plushie which may end up being true considering the fact it’s never truly implied. Even BVExperiments has some issues considering the whole point of “what is seen in the shadows is often misunderstood by a child” seems to be that BV saw something which he misinterpreted into being something completely scary, which doesn’t make all that much sense since there’s not that much to misinterpret about the animatronics being scary and he assumably gets scared when seeing someone putting on a Springlock costume, implying he just saw someone putting on a Springlock suit and misinterpreted it, further supported by what the pigtail girls says about the rumor of people being stuffed in suits. There’s also the chance Michael could’ve been in the experiments and BV either infiltrated his nightmares or just wasn’t involved at all). The only way Dreadbear Victim would work without BVTOYSNHK is if this represents someone else inside of Golden Freddy controlling the suit, but then that reintroduces GoldenDuo and makes it questionable as to why it’d be BV instead of the fifth victim actually tied to the accident.

And that leaves us with the fifth MCI kid, which I think makes the most amount of sense. They have clear connections to Golden Freddy and they were stuffed in a suit like the other 4 victims (keeping the representation of Follow Me and the MCI alive and having more connections to them than BV if all five MCI victims were stuffed around the same time).

But I’d love to hear what you guys think and I hope you all have a great day!

Guys this may sound insane but here me out...

Not sure if this was talked about before, but I have noticed something with this image.

So a lot of people agree that the 5 Graves next to each other are the MCI with the final one being Cassidy, then you have the one in the back who is meant to be Charlie who is the puppet... right?

Will i have noticed something else, there are 4 butterflies in this image, and one of them is golden, and that golden one is next to another 2 while the final one is setting alone.

Could the golden butterfly represent BV and it's with the other 2 as in Mike and Elizabeth? And the final one that is setting alone is for Henry?

This theory isn't perfect, I feel it would be only fair to talk about the ladybug too but I honestly don't know what it could represent, not to mention it would've made more sense for Henry's butterfly to be next to Charlie's grave.

Regardless, I feel like I am onto something, and this feels like more evidence for Cassidy existing as a 5th MCI victim... but what do you guys think.

Slight evidence for F10Plush/MimicPlush

Was replaying Fnaf World just for fun honestly and when getting Fredbear I realized that he has mimic ball…? This might point to more evidence towards William putting the Mimic in the plush to babysit for him because of the connections between Fnaf World Fredbear and the plushie in Fnaf 4. Obviously Mega Bite is likely a reference to the Bite of 87 so it could be a similar thing, but it is kinda puzzling cause I doubt Scott thought that far ahead but still something worth documenting at the very least.

Doesn’t this page confirm CassidyFaded and debunk CassidyVictim?

For context, this is on a page where Michael draws what seems to be his desired dream vacation. However, there’s a slightly more hidden arrow on the bottom of the image pointing to the page number “29,” one famously known for being part of the Cassidy puzzle. Inside that arrow we can see who’s clearly the faded text that’s been talking to the altered text (assumably BV) throughout the logbook. The faded text writes “my name,” which is something they also write in a gravestone on another page of the logbook, further proving this is the same faded text as we’ve been seeing throughout the book.

If that’s the case, doesn’t this directly prove CassidyFaded since it literally involves Faded saying their name while pointing at one of the numbers required to get the name “Cassidy?” And wouldn’t this also directly debunk CassidyVictim since it’s not the altered text saying this and we know the altered text is probably if not undeniably BV?

I’d love to hear what you guys think though and I hope you all have a great day!

Why I personally think Cassidy is the faded text and hidden grave

Hello! Recently I’ve been looking through the logbook and I wanted to share why I personally think Cassidy is not only the faded text as opposed to the altered text, but why I also think they’re the gravestone that’s hidden off in FNAF 6.

Firstly, there’s the page where Michael draws what seems to be a dream vacation. However, it seems like someone also drew a hidden arrow pointing at the page number. Whether it be Michael helping out or someone else, the faded text we see throughout the logbook wrote “my name” in it. This would heavily imply that the page number correlates to the name of the faded text, and since 29 is one of the numbers that help us find the name “Cassidy,” it’s arguably easy to connect the dots and assumed the faded text is Cassidy.

But there’s some counterpoints and ideas to this which I think are entirely valid and I’d like to share my thoughts on them. At first, many would assume the altered text person (assumably BV) is the one leading us to the name “Cassidy” since many of the pages involve us finding altered page numbers or numbers swapped around. However, I think there’s the chance the whole point was that we were meant to assume this was altered before finding out the truth as one of the pages which help us involves two numbers being changed to red. Why is this important? Because while the altered text person continuously speaks through black, only two characters in the logbook speak through red, being Michael and the faded text. Since Michael assumably can’t change the direct contents of the logbook, what if this is faded, and therefore the rest of the trail leading to Cassidy is also faded? It would not only make sense with the text being changed to red, but the fact Michael also assumably is helping faded to some capacity, which intentional or not wouldn’t make as much sense if this was BV working with him. Also the fact that faded is known to write over Michael’s drawings throughout the logbook further points to faded and Michael having a stronger connection as opposed to altered and Michael. There’s also the fact that the pattern of altered page numbers slowly but surely falls apart as the trail goes on, which could technically just be altered changing their ways of communication, but otherwise it could imply this isn’t altered themselves as it’s being revealed to us through this breaking of the pattern (although I do see how this can be a stretch). I should probably at least mention that the pages with children’s toys drawn on them which iirc helps us with finding Cassidy in the logbook, there’s also a toy telephone drawn on, something which while connected to BV is only brought up by the faded text. The drawings being mostly faded off too (even if it may be in black writing) further proves that faded could actually have a more active part in the trailer to finding the name “Cassidy.” The fact this is written in black may also help since it could show that everything else involving black writing throughout the Cassidy trail could originate from them, but I do see how that can be considered a stretch. For all we know this could be altered, even if I do think it’s more logical for it to be faded. Lastly, why wouldn’t altered just write their name in the cross word? Yeah it may seem unbelievable that faded wouldn’t just write their name down and instead just make a trail for BV to follow, but at the same time it also doesn’t make sense for BV to try and hide out his name either, especially if you believe he’s the person in Golden Freddy who primarily says “it’s me” (I don’t really have much opinions on this myself) since we see the phrase written in proper lines across the word search.

I’d also like to bring up the idea that Faded set up the arrow on page 29 with “my name” actually referring to asking BV to alter parts of the logbook to reveal his name. However, I’d like to ask why not just say “your name”? Faded doesn’t really speak to altered in a similar way to saying “my name” when referring to them throughout the rest of the book (iirc), so why change it here?

I’d like to bring up the possibility of faded being Michael and I personally don’t believe that at the moment since there’s the chance he was meant to keep the logbook as a personal item before accidentally leaving it behind, so under that scenario I don’t really think there’s a motive for Mike not to just write the same throughout the whole thing (unless he was trying to pretend to be someone else the whole time to not scare off or annoy BV, but then at the same time we have to ask where the name “Cassidy” came from).

Lastly for this part of the post, I should probably bring up logbookparts, which is the idea that faded and altered are actually two separate parts of BV that were split apart from each other. In my opinion I do think the theory’s possible, but at the same time I’m not fully sold on it as of yet mainly because I don’t really know if there’s anything outside of the logbook that ever suggests there being two split parts of BV as characters we see in the games, but to be fair I may not be the best person to judge on this theory since I’ve only heard of it recently and there may be other theories to add onto this. If there isn’t anything pointing towards there being two BV halves in the games as their own characters elsewhere through other theories, then I just don’t see why they’d introduce this in the logbook only to never do anything with it again. We also have to bring up whether there’s a second name in the logbook or not such as Adam, Dave, or Evan since if any of those are there, then why would two halves of the same character go by entirely different identities? While most theories about a second name in the logbook have always had issues, I think it’s still fair to mention here if we were to take any of those theories into consideration. I guess you could also propose GoldenDavid but I am aware of its many flaws and how controversial of an idea it is overall, so at the moment I just don’t believe that either and will just be rolling with that not being the case for now (no offense to GoldenDavid believers, I think every theory is valid until proven otherwise).

Now for the final part of the post, why do I think Cassidy is the FNAF 6 grave? Well it’s that same grave image we see in the logbook. In FNAF 6, we have a name that is purposefully hidden from us, leaving the name of that gravestone a mystery. Then we have a book that’s likely canon to the games involving us finding a name which is also tied back to a gravestone in that same book. So if we have a gravestone in 6 that has its name purposefully hidden, then we have a book which solves the name of someone linked to a gravestone, and then we supposedly don’t have any other media pointing towards the gravestone in FNAF 6 as of yet (please correct me if I’m wrong), then I think it’s easy to assume Cassidy is the answer to said grave and is meant to wrap up that mystery from the sixth game. This could be an overly simplified version of what I’m trying to say and I’m willing to try to make it more clear in the comments if anyone needs, but I hope I was able to make my point across.

But I’d love to hear what you guys think and if I made any mistakes or not. Thank you for reading this and I hope you all have a great day!

Edit: Credit to u /UnderseaRexieVT for pointing this out but the word search has someone directly ask questions like “who are you” or “what’s your name.” Under this being altered text, this would heavily imply faded is Cassidy because there’s no reason they’d ask for their name and it’s still in a straight line sentence instead of being scattered around like the letters to Cassidy.

What does everyone think Scott's "one retcon" was?

I don't have a strong opinion either way, but I'm interested in hearing other people's thoughts.

While we're on the topic, do you think Scott made any more retcons after Sister Location?

Does anyone not give a rip about Midnight Motorist?

MM is probably the most puzzling minigame in the series, and I'm not sure it adds anything of much value to the lore. Maybe some decent fanfiction could be made from interpreting it, but I'm not in a rush to figure out which interpretation is canon.

Fixing Five FNAF Characters.

Overview:

Today I will attempt to fix five major FNAF Characters to hopefully make them more compelling or better then the ones we got originally. These aren't going to be major changes just simple ones to make them more interesting or give them a reason for why they do what they do in the story.

William Afton:

Will start with William Afton himself, and the thing I'm changing about him is his reason for killing Charlotte Emily.

I am someone who believes that William doesn't need to lose one of his kids in order to kill Charlie. My version would have William kill Charlie for a much more selfish and cruel reason, pure outright jealousy of Henry, and more specifically of Charlie herself. William would not be jealous of Henry's skills in robotics or inventing, instead he would be jealous of Henry's family, especially his daughter.

In William's eyes Charlie would be the pure definition of the picture perfect child. Obedient, well mannered, and well behaved. Even the media would love Charlie, and Everytime Henry would be interviewed they would constantly ask him about Charlie and how she's doing, even dubbing her The Princess of Fazbear. Meanwhile William's kids would be completely ignored. This would also be why William is so cruel to his kids because he wants them to be perfect, but they just can't be. So that's my Change for William.

Charlotte Emily:

Next is Charlie herself. Now I would keep her protective nature towards the other victims, and keep her being Afton's first victim. Here's what I would change. I would still have her be more aware of certain things, but also still just as confused and angry as the other Missing Children.

Here is what Charlie would be aware of. She and the other children are dead, and the other children need help.

Here is what she would not be aware of. How she died and who killed her. All she would know is that she is dead because bullies locked her out of the restaurant, because of this I'm also making those bullies targets for her aggression and anger as well.

As for why she doesn't do anything to stop The MCI from happening. Well remember in the books where William says that when he wears The Spring Bonnie suit the children think he's one of them. It would be the same for Charlie. Since she doesn't know William killed her, and because he wasn't wearing The Spring Bonnie suit when he did kill her, she simply wouldn't think anything was wrong just Spring Bonnie taking a kid to a special party or something.

It wouldn't be till after The Puppet is moved into the safe room that she would see the other children dead, and then try to help them.

Now for the new reason why she attacks random adults. This is something I included in my own FNAF AU. Charlie and The Missing Children see all adults as these scary monsters with purple eyes completely unaware that they are just normal people. All the attacks from the Animatronics are purely out of fear and defense thinking these scary monsters are going to harm them.

Finally for The SAVETHEM Minigame. Charlie still wouldn't know it was Afton who was the killer so that's why she turns away from him.

As for why she's not present when The Other MCI confronted William. The Puppet would be taken with the toys to be scrapped, but she would escape.

Henry Emily:

Henry, Henry, Henry. The biggest fraud in FNAF history. Here's what I would change for him.

When it comes to stealing from Edwin I would have Henry feel very guilty about and not want to do it, but be pressured by William into it, and have Henry be too much of a coward to stand up to William.

As for why he does nothing after William starts killing kids, well I would have it so he actually does try to do something but it causes the authorities to believe he was the killer, and so for the next 40 or so years he is locked away in a prison cell for a crime he didn't commit.

Cassidy:

What I would do for her is have her be the first one to realize William Afton is their killer. This would however be after The Puppet and toys are taken away to be scrapped so Charlie wouldn't know this.

I would then have her become the new protector of The MCI while also keep her as the one trying to help Crying Child recovery his lost memories.

Last thing I would change for Cassidy would be to have her also not be fooled by The Freddy Mask like Foxy and Puppet.

Michael Afton:

Last but not least is Michael Afton, who doesn't really need a lot of changes, all I would really do is make it more clear that he is indeed Mike Schmidt, Fritz Smith, Eggs Benedict, The FNAF 3 Guard, The FNAF 4 Player, and The FNAF 6 Protagonist.

As for his motivations in each game. FNAFs 1, 2 and Sister Location would have him helping William. FNAFs 3 and Pizzeria Simulator would be him finding out the truth and trying to stop William, and meanwhile FNAF 4 would just be his guilt of failing to protect both his siblings. It would also include Nightmare versions of The Funtimes as well.

And those are five characters I would make small changes too.

When is it okay vs When is it not okay to use The Books for game evidence?

Scott has said before that the books can be used for clues to figure stuff out in the games even if they aren't in the same continuity, but what exactly did he mean. What clues in the books can also apply to the games?

Like if an object or substance is in the books like remnant or agony should we assume it's also in the games?

What about a character doing something in the books like William taking the classic animatronics and injecting their remnant into the funtimes in the books should we assume he also did that in the games?

If a character acts one way in the books are they most likely like that in the games too?

If a certain event happens in a specific year in the books should we expect to happen that same year in the games?
