Need answers quickly, rushing to container store because it closes in 43 minutes. Please help.
I know organizing my room is probably best, but I’ve been pretty depressed recently so throwing everything in bins will be easiest to do
Is this a German Roach or regular? Found it in the bathroom. Texas.
I keep finding 1-2 of these around this stage of growth a week. Had sticky traps but no real results and any common german harborage areas are completely clear of them. Any idea what kind this is?
Is this a German cockroach?
I’ve seen what appears to be the same type of cockroach on four separate occasions, in different rooms: once in the bedroom, once near the door, and twice in the kitchen. Each time, it was around 9 p.m.
All the black stuff visible in the photo is just dirt from my footstep. :)
This morning I got out of bed and found a big cockroach on my kitchen rug. I took a pic a placed and work order with the apartment complex. I am from Colorado and have never had to really know what to do when you get a cockroach because they don't really like the climate out there. I have been in this apartment in AZ for less than a week and have found my first one. I am here for 2 years for school and this Coloradan needs bug advice ASAP!!!!!
Found this in the walk in closet, dead, kinda looked like squished- can anyone help ID?
Was finally able to get a picture of one of the little bastards. ive been seeing them more and more often in my car but only during the night. I keep my car very clean and have no food/trash in my car. What could be the cause? what type of roach is this? Should i be worried? I live in central Florida close to a lake if that affects it any
Just recently moved to an apartment (1.5 months ago) in Houston Texas (never lived in the south) and noticed just a “couple of insects” at the beginning and didn’t think anything of it. Got professional pest services who identified them as German cockroaches and have been dealing with this for the past 4 weeks. Had their full cleanout service couple weeks ago and still seeing them sporadically. The activity has gone down but now instead of seeing them only in the kitchen, I saw one to two in the master bedroom and bathroom. The management office is calling pest control to our place every week but doesn’t want to give us any money off rent. Had to pay for our own cleaning person and also had to move everything out of the cabinets, kitchen on our own (they didn’t seem to care).
Haven’t done any of my own treatments yet. Not sure what to do at this point, thinking about finding a new place. Is this type of issue always occurring in the south, hesitant to move because don’t want to deal with another infestation
Is this even a roach? I’ve seen a few over the last couple of days
hello.
I was sitting in my living room just playing a video game when i felt something crawling on me. saw it was a small roach and honestly didn't even think much of it as I'm used to wood roaches in the house, as we live in the south, MS to be exact, in a decently wooded area. then, because of course this would be the luck of someone that's petrified of roaches, I see those damned stripes on its head.
of course I kill it instantly. already had some diy pest control stuff from a roach freakout I had a few months ago, set out some glue traps and several combat roach baits. I know usually seeing one single German cockroach almost definitely means an infestation, but the thing is, I saw a German cockroach at my workplace the other night, and this is the first time I've ever seen one at home. is it at all possible that it could have been a straggler from work that I accidentally brought home and all will be well? is what I've just done enough or do I need to jump into action and do more? do I wait and see if any more show up? I have advion trio gel and alpine wsg in the cabinet too so it's not like I'm completely helpless.
I don't have a photo of it, but I think it could potentially be an Asian roach. I'm not sure at all. It was a bit slower moving than I'd expect a startled, light-exposed German roach to be but I truly have no clue. I'm going to assume the worst.
any advice is appreciated. thank you so much
Are these ectobius? Moved into a new place 1 month ago, didn’t see any sort of evidence of roaches, all of a sudden over the last week or two i’ve seen these 3 (one in the sink, one crawled on my mattress, one was by the door next to my fruit basket). These are pics of all 3
please dear god help. i have seen four of these little frickers since moving into my apartment a month ago, all little like this. i live in a garden style apartment community in piscataway NJ. what is this thing. am i doomed. pictures are so bad because i was trying to take a video. how panicked should i be.
I live on the second floor of a 2-story apartment building. My apartment complex is a garden-style. I have a balcony, and my front door is at ground level (I walk directly into my unit from outside) - so I have two doors in my apartment that lead directly outside. I have been battling wood roaches for weeks. The apartment complex’s extermination company has been coming every week for the last 3 weeks and spraying, but the wood roaches do not seem to be affected by whatever they’re spraying. They start showing up at around 8:30 each night.
My building is OLD, and there are many cracks throughout the unit from the building settling and basically just wearing over time. Unfortunately, it’s not physically possible for me to seal every potential entryway/ crack in my apartment to keep them out. My biggest areas of concern are my window air conditioners (I have one in my bedroom and one in the living room - these are the rooms I’ve seen roaches in the most). I purchased them new only about 2 months ago and I weather-sealed them the best I could with insulation inside the window frame, but I could definitely see how they may be getting in through the accordion sides. I also have wall sleeves in these two rooms for in-wall air conditioners (all the units have these) which are sealed off with a cover but not very well. They still lead directly outside and are fully open on the exterior of the building. This is another potential entry point that they could be getting in through.
I have two pets so I’m weary of putting down any chemicals or dusts/ powders if it could make them sick but I’m really tired of seeing roaches crawling around in here.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
I found this guy in the kitchen. location usa
Can anyone confirm that these are not German nymphs? Google Lens is saying they resemble outdoor roach nymphs.
