Do I have to bring an item with me to get an autograph?

I've seen tons of videos where it's just an empty table with pens.

Do some guests force you to bring something with you to get signed?

Armour rules?

Hi, im attending my first ever comic con tomorrow (woo!!), and I was hoping to wear my steel pauldrons, gorget and tassets.

The website states that wearing costumes which are bulky or made of hard materials, which includes metal armour, require that you must have someone with you as a guide. Unfortunately I'm attending alone :(

Does anyone know how strict they are on this, and whether it applies to all metal armour or just full suits with limited mobility, etc?

I was offered a last-minute lift to the con, otherwise I would've had more time to investigate this, sorry if this post is silly

The Curious Case of Adam Baldwin!

By Adam Baldwin, I mean the man on this picture.

I don't think he left the industry of his own accord. Perhaps his female co-stars accused him of sexual harassment, because Nathan Fillion hinted at something like that during a panel discussion ten some years ago, when he was asked what it was like to kiss Stana—he mentioned that Adam always slips in a little tongue (during the kissing scenes). So Nathan Fillion was never his friend, I guess. Also interesting that he hasn't really been working since some Canadian rocker showed up using the name Adam Baldwin as if they'd stolen his identity. On May 5 someone wished him a happy birthday, thereby implying that his identity had been stolen. Of course, that post has since been deleted. His absence much to the delight of Yvonne Strahovski, Zachary Levi and Ryan McPartlin, so he can’t steal the show from them anymore. Considering that he and his character were constantly humiliated throughout the series, maybe it’s for the best that he won’t be appearing in the upcoming Chuck movie. I think that's nothing to do with his political views or Twitter activity that's what their plan from the very beginning and they conspired against him since day one.

Queens neighbors: this one is worth reading.

NYC has listed 47 properties in Queens Community District 2 for possible acquisition and site selection for park use. The application was submitted by DCAS and NYC Parks, and it is scheduled for a City Planning Commission public hearing on June 3, 2026.

The listed sites run across major western Queens corridors, including Queens Boulevard, Northern Boulevard, Broadway, Skillman Avenue, Van Dam Street, Borden Avenue and Greenpoint Avenue.

Important caveat: the notice does not say every property will become a finished park. It does not include a budget, final designs or construction timeline. But it does show the city is formally moving these parcels into the land-use process.

This is the kind of city paperwork most people never see until it is already moving.

What would you want western Queens to get from new park space — more trees, playgrounds, dog runs, sports fields, seating, shade, or something else?

What is the best and worst interaction you had with a celebrity at any convention?

As a Gen Z I started going to conventions 11 years ago, but where I used to live there wasn’t any guests. But last year and this year it changed everything. When I became an adult and enough savings I started going to conventions and being interested in meeting celebrities, I want to know your experiences, and I will leave a comment the 2 people that stand up the most by me. (It can be photo-ops, panel, booths, etc).

First time buying a celebrity’s autograph and selfie at a convention what should I know beforehand?

Really needing help here because I’m crashing out😭 I bought the autograph and selfie options for this celebrity, am I allowed to ask the celebrity to sign on a poster AND a small card or only one of them? Am I allowed to ask to film a small vid? Can I give the celebrity a tiny plushie gift(Approx. 6cm)?
How can I stay respectful and made sure they don’t feel annoyed or uncomfortable?

Someone help me please 😭

MCM London: Heatwave Warning

You've probably checked your weather apps already at this point, but if you haven't, London's due to reach a high of 27C on Friday and Saturday, and 29C on Sunday.

As a seasoned cosplayer, I would suggest the following things-

  • Bring a handheld fan. I have an electric one that folds up in my bag!
  • WATER. PLEASE BRING WATER. There's a lot of water points in the ExCel if you need to fill up your bottle. Please don't try to survive on just energy drinks, they'll dehydrate you in the long run and you don't wanna be running on just caffeine
  • Drink (alcohol) responsibly. There's a few bars in/around the ExCel that offer alcohol. Please don't overdo it. Alcohol impedes your body's temperature regulation and dehydrates you.
  • Wear sunscreen (if you can)
  • It's usually the hottest between 11am and 3pm, so you'd be better staying indoors during this time
  • If you're really warm, you can run water over your inner wrists. It'll cool you down quick
  • Look out for signs of heatstroke in yourself and friends - Delirium, headaches, feeling/being sick, high temperature, high pulse, weakness. If you think that someone has heatstroke, call 111.

I know everyone jokes that the UK can't handle the heat and that this happens every year, but the UK's buildings hold in heat more than hot countries' buildings do. That, plus how built up London is, is a recipe for disaster when we're wearing costumes all weekend!

First Ever Timeless Reunion with Abigail Spencer and Matt Lanter

Timeless fans rejoice. It appears that Indiana Comic Con is hosting the first ever Timeless reunion with Matt Lanter and Abigail Spencer appearing together at the convention. Does anyone know if this is their first appearance together since the show ended?

Is a photo with a celebrity as quick as an autograph?

I've seen videos of people chatting to the celebrity for a bit while they're signing their autograph. Is this a different thing to buying an autograph and a photo?

I'm under the impression that at least a photo is a super quick hi bye

Why do some Vendors hide their prices at their booths?

I've been going to some Comic Con conventions for a few years now both big and small, and one thing I've always noticed is that a lot of dealers booths have no prices showing for what they're selling. This never really bothered me at first when I started going to shows, but overtime I've grown a bit of a bias towards them and now tend to ignore their booths. I now just assume that whatever they have is probably at a price point that I can't afford, and that deters me from looking any further. For me personally, I'm more likely to look at a booth and not mind so much the expensive prices if they're clear and transparent about them, I'm more likely to buy the product especially if it's of something I like.

This has me wondering why do some booths keep their prices hidden and why do they continue to do that? Are they able to make more money this way, are they going based off who is buying and what they're buying? Is it just easier for them to do it this way? I'm curious to know from a vendors perspective or customer POV, or even how you feel about this yourself!

Can I take a photo with an actor while wearing a hat?

Sorry this may be a super stupid question lol I'd just hate to pay that money and get there and then be told I have to take my hat off.

It's a typical black cap. Would there be any chance they force me to take it off?
