George Takei GalaxyCon San Jose Autograph tier clarification?

Hi folks, I'm a little confused by GalaxyCon San Jose's autograph tier pricing.

When I got to choose my autograph tickets, both the "standard" and "premium" price descriptions for George Takei read

You may choose an 8x10 glossy photo from the table, or have your own item autographed

While other guests have more specific tiers like "8x10" "funko" etc, George just has these two.

Is it safe to say any flat item I have falls under the "standard" tier? I have trading cards and 8x10 photos of my own

I would like to thank everyone for staying off the 405 this morning because you knew I was late for work and I made it on time without the traffic

that is all

Can ebay sellers please please stop using envelopes without proper tracking to ship cards??

I have probably had at least 10% of my orders from various sellers across the country get lost and never delivered in the past 2-3 months alone. I always reach out to sellers asking if they can ship ground, priority, etc and I'm happy to pay that. Sometimes they agree, but most times they refuse. And when it's a card I really want, I take the chance.

But then the card doesn't get delivered and at least I get my money back but sellers are losing sometimes valuable cards AND the cost of the card.

I spoke to someone I arranged a local pick-up with and he says he loses so much money that he may stop selling on ebay all-together. I told him "well why don't you ship with tracking?"

He says it's not worth it.

It seems sellers lose out more than the buyers here but it's still a headache for both of us

My "community manager" just messaged me saying I need to balance my reviews more . . . HUH

6 year Elite, I have over 2300 reviews in a major city.
52% of my reviews are 4 and 5 star. 47% are 3 and below.

She said I should try not to give too many high or low star ratings.
How exactly and why do I need to be more "balanced"? Like what does she or Yelp even care if my reviews lean one way or another? Quite frankly, my review base seems pretty well balanced.

Why don't photography "reviewers" ever or rarely ever take actual photos?

I'm looking for reviews on some lenses and I've gone through 20-30 videos to have only one person actually take photos and share the results. The rest only show video either in their "studio" or out in public. and these aren't lenses necessarily intended for video so why doesn't anybody review for actual photography?

The Simpsons is a better show overall but Futurama is better in the long run

I grew up watching The Simpsons and have always loved it . . . up until maybe Season 20. After that, there are only a few episodes here and there that I actually enjoy. but the change in humor, animation style, and storylines have just gone downhill.

But when it comes to Futurama, the story and comedy are steady and consistent even now with the latest season. I still think the first season of The Simpsons is pure perfection and one of the funniest seasons for any show - funnier than all of Futurama - but I will continue on with Futurama in the long run rather than returning to "re-runs" of the Simpsons over and over again.

Curious if this is common practice by security/staff

So this is my 15th SDCC and I'm pretty well versed with the ins and outs of the event.

On Friday there was a late panel at 10:00pm and I arrived a little late around 10:15 and tried getting into the convention center around Hall G. The doors were closed but I figured security would just let me in and scan my badge. When they opened the doors they said I had to go all the way to Hall A.

I thought that was odd so I tried a few more doors until Hall E when I was told the same thing. By then I was really not in the mood to walk all the way to A just to backtrack to the panel room.

Is this normal? I get the exhibit hall is closed but if panels are still open and security is still stationed at each door, why can't we just go in through any of the other doors?

First time having wingstop in 15 years . . .

And wow it's terrible. I genuinely don't understand the glazing and hype around this place.

15 years ago I was 17, still in high school and would go to Wingstop 2-3x a month with friends. Either it was better back then (like most places) or we simply didn't know any better.

Either way - wow it's bad now. I ordered the spicy korean wings and mango habanero wings.

They are SO freakin sweet!! Nothing spicy whatsoever about the Korean wings while the mango habanero did have some heat, the sugary syrup overpowered it and both wings had the same base flavor. I'm not naive to that, it's obvious that a place like wingstop will use the same sugary based sauce for their food but it's wild how people actually like this junk.

I'm happy to say that the ranch is still the best fast-food ranch out there. I'll go back just to pick up a cup of ranch

Well I might as well give this a shot . . .

I've been single for a few years and the dating apps haven't been working (shocker!)

I'm not THAT ugly but I can make up for it in other ways -

I cook, I clean, I have a stable job with steady income, and I have a ton of hobbies.

I love to cook and eat at new restaurants, (certified foodie), I love movies/tv shows including going to movies, conventions, etc anything pop culture related, and I love to travel. I've been to probably 50+ countries

I really want to settle down and start a family. I want to bring flowers 20 years down the road just like I would on the first date. I want the Friday nights out and Saturday mornings lounging around making breakfast with each other. A new adventure every month and a new way to laugh every week. I'm not hard to please but I just want the good ol' fashion lovin.
