Does anyone know if the university pays the city anything for traffic control or any other reason for the inconvenience we suffer during these high school graduations? There will be 16 graduations in 7 days, and I resent being held hostage. Some of these high schools are a LONG way away. Seems like the parents would want to have them somewhere more convenient. I guess the air-horn vendors are happy.
I live at villagio and I haven’t had hot water for almost a week. When maintenance came to fix the first time, apparently one of the pieces they used broke while they were fixing it. My water heater burst and the humidity ended up melting all of my tide pods and extra tissue paper I keep in the washing area. Maintenance came back and fixed it but considering I haven’t had hot water in a week AND I have to go buy my laundry stuff, shouldn’t I be eligible to have some of my rent deducted for the month??? Also do yall think this is going to increase my water bill?
has anyone rented a house through this company? how often do they do inspections?

With summer moving season upon us I just wanted to spread the word of San Marcos’ infamous slumlord, Virgilio Altamirano. For some of you, that name will strike a nerve, and for good reason. Here are a few reasons not to rent from him…
- Maintenance requests will go untouched/ unanswered for weeks, even months and he WILL blame YOU for it.
Our toilet didn’t work for THREE days upon move in and our dishwasher hasn’t worked for the TWO YEARS we lived here.
- Several of his properties have hazards and unfit living conditions
He knowingly rented a termite infested home and blamed the tenants for it. Also one of his properties had black mold that he had someone paint over, yummy!
- IF he sends maintenance, it is highly likely he will NOT give you a 24-48 hr notice of entry which is ILLEGAL.
He once snuck someone into our backyard while my partner and I were asleep to cut down our tree without telling us… who does that???
- He will literally yell and scream at you over the phone / text if you bring up a concern.
Several San Martians can attest to this, it is a known fact that he is mean.

We are helping to rehome this beautiful girl, Xeno, she is current on her rabies, she is fixed, she is around 2 years old, and is just the sweetest baby she could be! The reason for the rehome is the owner is physically disabled and realized he just cant care for her in the way she deserves! Luna was lost while staying with dog sitters booked through Rover. The sitters, Sarah Dean and Daniel Oswiler, claim that Luna escaped, but they never officially reported her missing, did not follow the instructions provided, and have refused to cooperate or speak with police.
At this point, Luna’s family does not know what truly happened to her, and they are desperate for answers. Please help us spread the word and keep an eye out for Luna.

Hi, I am transferring to Texas State in the fall from a different university. I don't know anyone in San Marcos yet, and I am trying to find a 1 bedroom apartment. I know student housing is usually hit or miss, but can anyone tell me their thoughts/experiences on The Atlantic Palazzo? It's at a good price point for me, and right now my number one option but I see everyone having mixed reviews online. Thanks in advance!
I’m 20 going into my junior year at TXST and haven’t really gone out. Most of my friends are 21 so I want to find places we can all go until I can get into 21+ places. Which places don’t id at the door and allow underage people? IM NOT TRYING TO DRINK I JUST WANT TO HANGOUT AND EAT FOOD WITH MY FRIENDS (fyi so mods don’t take this down) I love Sean Patrick’s already btw.
