Soooo...our new RAYS owners can raise $2.2 billion in cash to buy a competitor but not for a stadium? Does anyone else have a problem with this? $2.2 billion cash? No prob! But investing in a stadium and community development? Sorry...hands out...begs for money...if they are so sure that this is a great investment then why not do it themselves? DO you people know that us taxpayers will pay the interest on the debt service? They want the cash up front and we get stuck with the bill whether it works out or not. Read the fine print. It's a scam. Say no to corporate welfare...especially when our owner just bought a company for $2.2 billion...CASH. CASH!

[Lance Brozdowski] The Rays are trying some things with Freddy Peralta. No more windup, and his four-seam extension jumped to 6.9' yesterday, his highest mark of the season. Changeup usage is also up against lefties. Results aren't there yet, but they clearly had some ideas on how to fix him.
