Hi everyone! I’m trying to understand the origin and meaning of my family surname Selagamsetty (శెలగం****శెట్టి).
My family traces its roots to the Vizianagaram region of Andhra Pradesh (Telaga Caste), and I’m interested in understanding how the surname originated, particularly what “Selagam” might mean. Thanks!

We welcomed our first born recently and these are our finalists. NARAPAREDDY is surname. So there isn't much flexibility with that.

Edit: guys I know matter or energy cannot not be destroyed nor created. But there also discussion about space also. Maybe shunyam is word im searching anukunta.....

I'm talking about those whose mother tongue is dakhni and are fluent in telugu

I have been in andra since 6 months and the moment I think I have gotten a hold of it.... someone will say something n i will go completely blank. I mean whyy???

Plz don't hate me for what I am going to write next but I wish there was a uniform language in India...and it should not have been english, should not be english...bcz it's not our language....and since hindi is the dialect of majority I wish everyone knew hindi. I mean in north and North East or central and West India , people have their our regional language and also know hindi..so all have something in common..but it's so difficult here. And I feel it's difficult for the south areas as well, i feel...bcz people from kerela or TN or Karnataka donot know telugu or people from TN donot know malyalam, kannada or Tamil.

To have a curiosity and learn is something else but in official setting or to fit in...it's very difficult.

PS- please if someone can tell me how can I learn and catchup telugu quick plz do tell..and donot tell movies or chatting over here..bcz it doesn't help and i don't get time actually.

Also for all writing telugu in my post - try figuring out this- Mitheyki myar gadhwali ma bhi chyun lagandu aandu cha paar mi baki log dagad ni lagand chuyin myaar bhasha ma kileki mi oon logon ki bhavnao dhey smajhdun chon...ta jab mi bher desh jan dilli ya bangal ya gujrat jandu chon na ta mi wunka daggad hindi ma chyu lagandu chow ..kileki unthey myar bhasa ni aanth ar mithey ki angrez ni bannad.... angrezi ma chyuin kairiki....
