I don't use toilet paper.

If you got poop anywhere on your body - let's say your arm - you'd immediately shower, or at the very least, use water and soap thoroughly clean it. So why is it when we have poop on our butts we simply rub it dry with toilet paper and call it a day? If you use toilet paper, you're dirty and stinky.

I use baby wipes. Spare me the "not good for plumbing" argument. Every bathroom has a trash can.

If the coriolis effect changes the direction a toilet flushes depending on which hemisphere you're in, what happens if you flush it on the equator

Does it create a brown hole?

HELP- Toilet flood

Last week or so, my apartment completely flooded due to the toilet overflowing. The handyman came to my apartment to assess and tried blaming me for “clogging the toilet “ and then also proceeded to mention that a flapper on the toilet needed to be replaced. The toilet constantly runs and makes that running water noise…my landlord left an HVAC to dry the floors out but is trying to blame a $7000 water bill on me, i texted him a video of what the toilet does. Im also trying to leave said apartment because anytime i leave home now, i shut the toilets water valve off because i dont trust another flood wont happen randomly…i initially paid 3xs the rent (4650) to move in, i paid 1st, security and last month rent! i already paid Mays rent and intend on being out of the apartment no later than May 30th but was wondering in terms of deposit would i get back security deposit and last month rent since technically i overpaid…?! or how does this work! also, how does it work that his toilet caused a flood? ive never flushed anything other than toilet pallets down the toilet!!

Blocked loo on second flush

I have a toilet on the first floor that blocks up on the second flush. If left for an hour or so it returns back to normal.

From what I have read here it’s due to a blockage further down the line.

I have tried plunger and a snake to no avail. Any advice?

I have attached a video of me plunging it and the pipe moves slightly from behind the roller.

strange globules/buildup in toilet bowl

not sure if this is the right subreddit for this but i noticed this weird buildup in my toilet this past week. i know you're supposed to clean your toilet every once in a while but my toilet's been getting dirty quicker than usual so i have to clean it every two weeks or so. it doesn't normally look like this either so i'm kinda perplexed and a little worried. if anyone knows what causes this i'd love to know

Is it weird I use toilet paper only even though I have a bidet?

I am 19 years old. I started uni in September 2025 and I live there, there was no handheld sprayer so I resorted to toilet paper - I was happy with it as it was quicker and did the job. I recently moved back home where there is a handheld bidet sprayer I used it for 18 yrs of my life but now I use tp only even at home out of habit and convenience , I told my brother this and he said that’s weird?

What happened?

A friend had his own bathroom during our guys' trip, and when I sneaked in there - even though I wasn't supposed to - this is what I found. Does anyone know why someone would leave a bathroom like this, or what happened here?

Toilet waste going up kitchen outflow pipe!

The bathroom waste pipe (left highlighted red) is flushing with such force, the poo and waste is flying up the kitchen waste pipe directly opposite. Meaning poo is sometimes sitting in the kitchen waste pipe and stinking the house out. What can we do?

Used a Real Bidet Seat at a Friend's Place and Now I Don't Know What I've Been Doing for a Year

Warm weather took away my only real complaint, which was the cold water. Now I'm just left with the attachment itself and I'm starting to feel a little dumb about how long I've been fine with it.

The dial does something. I'm still not totally sure what. Turned it all the way down, all the way up, the difference is there but it's more like adjusting a TV that only goes between 8 and 10.

Tried a proper seat at a coworker's place a few weeks back. The pressure actually moved when I touched the controls. That sounds obvious and it kind of is, tbh, but it genuinely hadn't been my experience for the past twelve months so it caught me off guard.

Been looking at seats in the under $200 range. A few names keep coming up: Horow B0503, Bio Bidet BB500, a couple Brondell entry-level things. Reviews across all of them are roughly fine, which doesn't help much when you're trying to decide.

My house runs high water pressure and I've seen that mentioned as a real problem with some seats. Still can't tell if it's a structural thing or just people finding reasons to complain online.

Probably going to pick something and accept whatever minor regret comes with it.

Is it necessary to switch to a smart toilet?

Recently, my friends have been discussing the benefits of switching to a smart toilet, but I'm still considering it. My current toilet is fine, but it's been a while, and I'm thinking of replacing it. However, I'm unsure whether to continue using a regular toilet or try a smart toilet. I hope you can give me some advice.
