Spicy cheese, laxative, cramp, injection tonight?
I am a very new Zepound customer. Forgetting the advice to avoid spicy food, I ate some spicy pepper jack cheese late last night. Shortly after that I took an overnight laxative and then I looked at the box - I think the date may have expired. Ugh! I went to bed and woke up a few hours later with a bad cramp. I was able to go to the bathroom but I still have the cramp though it is not nearly as bad.
I am due for my third 2.5 Zepound injection tonight. Should I take it tonight if I still have discomfort, or wait until the cramp is completely gone? Thanks.
Restless Legs + Insomnia
Someone tell me it gets better - I’m only on 2.5 and in my first week but immediately since my injection I’ve been restless, can’t fall asleep, restless legs - it’s driving me nuts . Im hitting my protein, lots of water, electrolytes, even magnesium 😭
I got approved but my pharmacy wants $300
I originally got my Tirzepatide approved and my local pharmacy called me before it was approved and said it was going to cost me $25 and what they get from insurance was going to leave them $30 short so they asked if they could transfer the prescription to bigger pharmacy so they could eat the cost. I said sure. Then the bigger pharmacy said my deductible would be $300. I looked on my insurance website and saw other pharmacies would be $50. I did see a coupon from Eli Lilly. For the $300 pharmacy with the coupon it would still be $150. Is it really rude to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy that would only be $50? And could I use the coupon again?
Starting 7.5 mg on Sunday, any advice?
Hi! I’m starting 7.5 mg on Sunday unexpectedly and I’m just reaching out to see if anyone has any advice? I’ve only been on 5mg on a month and a half and haven’t seen any progress. So my dr and I decided to try 7.5mg, but I’m doing a three month supply and won’t be able to go down so I want to prepare for any increase side effects. My insurance is ending coverage starting next month, so I’m doing this three month supply to hold me over till I get a better paying job to do the compound.
Insurance terminated for a couple days..what to do?
Hi everyone :))
This is my first post here so wish me luck, I have been on zepbound for 4 months, right now I'm finishing my 7.5 mg month. So far so good
My employer forgot to pay the insurance that covers my zepbound.. already have a PA approved.
I have a prescription waiting for me on walgreens but Walgreens is not recognizing my insurance because is terminated.. my employer told me it should be back in a couple days, but that means I will have to skip a week shot because I already ran out of shots.
Do you think this will affect a lot? Have you guys skipped a week ever? Or more?
Kwikpen , savings card
I’m trying to fill my first kwikpen , my insurance does cover it so that’s not the issue, when I get the price quote from my insurance it’s $163 (way cheaper than the single injector $354 with coupon $254) but when I mention the savings card the pharmacist says the $163 is including the coupon , maybe I’m trying to use it to soon? She did mention they just started filling the kwikpen .
Waiting to lose weight
Four weeks on first 4 shots. Weeks 1 and 2, I wasn’t hungry at all. Lost 3 pounds. Weeks 3 and 4, my hunger came back, which surprised me.
Started Week 5 on 5 mg on Monday and my appetite is definitely back. And I have a cold.
Still at 3 pounds lost but hope to starting losing weight soon.
Any similar situations?
Lower Backache?
I am very new to Zepound and plan to take my third injection Thursday night. I've been experiencing light very low backache on both sides. Has anyone else experienced this and will it go away?
I am not sure if it's due to the Z injections or me greatly overdoing my walking the past two weeks. I see I should have taken it easy instead of too quickly increasing my walking every day while I'm huffing and puffing! TIA
If you have used or are using compounded GLP-1 medications for weight loss or management, we want to hear your story!
Have you or someone you know used compounded GLP-1 medications in the past year?
Access barriers to brand-name GLP-1s have pushed many people toward compounded alternatives, but we still know very little about real-world experiences, safety, or effectiveness.
Dr. Jaime Almandoz and Dr. Sarah E. Messiah at UT Southwestern Medical Center are conducting a research study to better understand how patients use compounded GLP-1 products and their experiences with them.
Your voice truly matters.
Real-world stories can help inform healthcare providers, policymakers, and patients navigating this rapidly changing landscape.
If you’ve used a compounded GLP-1 in the last 12 months, please consider sharing your experience:
Please share this link with others, as many people who use compounded medications may not realize their perspective is valuable to researchers and clinicians trying to improve care.
Thank you for helping us generate much-needed evidence on an important and evolving issue!

My dad quit Ozempic after 2 weeks. I built something because of it.
I know nobody wants another GLP-1 app. Honestly same.
My dad quit Ozempic at 2 weeks because the side effects wrecked him and he had nobody to turn to. My mom has been on Mounjaro for Type 2 diabetes. I’m on Zepbound right now myself. I’ve watched this medication from every angle in my own family.
So I built something out of frustration more than anything. Not a tracker, not a calorie counter. An AI companion that actually knows GLP-1 inside and out. She checks in before and after your injection day. She remembers what you told her last week. She helps you put together a summary for your doctor appointment. She’s there at 2am when you feel terrible and don’t know if what you’re experiencing is normal or not.
Think of her as the knowledgeable friend everyone on this medication deserves but almost nobody has.
Still early and looking for honest feedback from people who’ve actually been through the rough part of this. Not looking for hype, genuinely just want to know if something like this would have helped you. Comment or DM me if you’re curious.
Zepbound
ok, starting Zepbound. had really wanted Mounjaro, but doc picked Zeppy. hopefully it will get approved because of A1c level (a true medical reason) and not just for weight loss.
Dosing
I’ve been on Zepbound for 12 injections total. I was on 2.5 mg for about six weeks before moving up to 5 mg for about five weeks.
I took my 5 mg a day early because I was going away. I had very strong appetite suppression, almost to the point where I didn’t want to eat at all. I also noticed what felt like slower digestion, like food was sitting in my stomach longer than usual, I felt I could feel the food somewhat backing up into my esophagus if that makes sense.
Because of that, I stretched my dosing out to about 8 days and then took a 2.5 mg dose instead of 5, Friday night to kind of reset things.
Now it’s been about 48 hours and I feel like I’m starving. My appetite came back very suddenly and strongly.
I was originally thinking about trying 2.5 mg every 4 days to keep things more steady, but now I’m wondering if I should just go back to 5 mg instead for more consistency. What’s confusing is that I actually lost more weight overall on 2.5 mg, but I didn’t have this kind of rebound hunger until I stretched the dose this week.
Has anyone else experienced big swings in hunger when adjusting timing, stronger GI side effects like slower digestion or reflux, feeling more stable on a higher vs lower dose, or intense hunger after spacing doses out?
My doctor has told me I can be flexible specifically with the 2.5 mg dose and take it about every 3.5 days, 4 days, or 5 days. If I go back to five, I’ll have to wait until Friday, which is going to be so hard. I’m so hungry.
I’m just looking for feedback if anyone has gone through something similar.
Zepbound has me going crazy!
I'm almost through 2 weeks on this medication. I'm constantly worried if I'm eating too little or too much. If I'm getting "enough protein and fiber and water" daily, like everyone has me freaked out about.
I'm trying to lose 35-45 lbs total. 2.5 dosage.
I know my body still needs nutrition, but I don't want to eat any more than I absolutely have to.
I watch videos and read how " if you eat too little your metabolism will shut down!" "If you eat too much you won't get any results!" "If you don't eat enough of the right things, side effects will waylay you!".
I need need NEED this to work! It is a huge financial sacrifice and burden so it better not be for nothing.
People say I need to get blood work done often. That I need to take supplements with it. That I need to only eat these 10 foods, or avoid these 40 foods at all costs. That only some proteins are acceptable and others are banned.
This is all filling me with anxiety and confusion and despair. Today was the first day in 12 days that I ate relatively normal amounts of food, and I feel failure because of it, because zepbound was doing so well at keeping hunger at bay.
How do you all do this for months or years?!?!
Zepound plus water pill?
Before I started the Zepound injections a two weeks ago I was taking Bumetanide for water retention. My health provider and online research say I can continue taking the diuretic pill. Since I'm doing the Z injections and the pill I am going to the bathroom at night almost every two hours. I tried stopping the diuretic and I could tell the puffiness and tightness came back to my legs.
Is anyone here taking something for water retention plus the Zepound injections? If so, what is your experience with them both? Has anyone suggested you stop taking the water pill?
Lymph Node Tenderness/Pain right after zepbound 2.5mg
Hi Everyone, I started Zepbound 2 days ago and less than 12 hours after taking it, the lymph nodes in my neck jaw back of head and collarbone started to hurt and feel tender. i don’t have any lumps or swelling. Dr thinks it was an inflammatory response and that I could try again next week and see if it happens again but i don’t like this feeling and wondering if I should go back to wegovy. I stopped taking wegovy pills because I felt like it wasn’t doing much for me (4mg). has anyone else experienced this side effect before? (i have no history of thyroid cancer so plz don’t say that this happened right after taking zepbound and never has happened before!)
🆘help needed regarding weaning off
I have one 2.5 vial, and 3 5mg vials left that I will split up in halves to have 6 2.5 vials. Meaning I have 7 weeks of 2.5mg vials left. This is all I have. And then I’m done for good.
Should I do 6 weeks of 2.5 mg or should I stretch the vials out and more and go even longer by weaning down slower with less of the medication every week?
Really need help considering I will have nothing left after these vials.
The first month on Zepound (Z), is most of the weight we lose water weight? I feel I am running to the bathroom a lot more than usual, more than when before I started the Z and I was drinking a lot of water.
reddit.comEating Normally; Losing More?
Something curious just happened to me over the past weeks: I am a 350 pound man and have been on Zep for about six months and am up to 10 mg. I have been augmenting the Zep with Weight Watchers (with doctor’s approval) and have lost 40 pounds - down to 306. Unfortunately I have totally stalled out on weight loss for over a month. Last week I went on vacation and cast my diet to the wind, eating whatever I wanted. Interestingly, I lost three pounds!!! Is that possible. Should I stop WW? Was I eating too little?
I love ZEPBOUND
I have been on Zepbound since May 2025. The doctor put me on it for two reasons: I have severe sleep apnea and was also very obese. If you are on Zepbound, you have to have a medical condition in addition to being overweight. I have lost about 70 pounds while on Zepbound but 95 pounds overall. My weight have stalled between 295 and 300 for the last six months. I am on the highest dose of 15 mg but I have not been doing much exercise or completely changed my eating habits. I got a gym membership last month through my insurance and have been intermittently working out. The most important thing that I am happy about is that my sleep apnea has improved a lot!!! I can now lie on my back when sleeping. I am still going to stay on it because of the issues with sleep apnea and also it is still suppressing my appetite. I cannot eat a lot anymore, but it’s what I’m eating that I need to change, which I started doing today. I need to lose at least another hundred plus pounds and I am determined to break the plateau.
