Am I going nuts here lol?

The first year I was on Wegovy 2.4 mg, I lost over 20 kg (went from 199 kg to 179 kg). I was super happy. Then, almost overnight, it was like hitting a brick wall. At first, I wasn't losing or gaining, and then suddenly I started going up about 0.5 kg every week. The food noise came back 100%.

Consistently, my wife is also on Wegovy (much different weight), but exactly the same thing happened to her at the exact same time. The only thing that changed is that we changed pharmacies, going from Costco to an IDA. Just for convenience.

I switched to Zepbound since it has higher doses available. I tried 5 mg—no change. Then I increased to 10 mg—still nothing. I tried each for one pen's worth, and now I just took my first dose of 15 mg. Since January, I've gone back up to 184 kg.

Honestly, I'm feeling really down right now. I don't understand how everything could just stop from one week to the next.

The only thing that changed was switching pharmacies, from Costco to IDA, but obviously that shouldn't make any difference, right? I'm sure they're getting it from the same supplier, no?

But coincidentally both my wife and I stopped losing weight at the same time?

Airport delay/ meds

I am at JFK experiencing a massive delay. I packed my meds in a little zip pouch with 2 soft ice packs (certainly not like the ice packs the meds come in from Lilly) they don’t know when our flight is going to take off. How long will the meds be sustainable once this ice melts? Heading to Orlando- so about 2 hours and 46 minute flight…. But again, no idea when we are leaving.

Does anyone know the recommended weaning off approach of zepbound?

I’m a low responder but hoping to meet my goal in a couple months, then maintain for a couple months then thinking I should do a month of each lower dose until not using - but maybe that’s too careful? I know some people just stop.

Anyone getting their Zep from LillyDirect feel like some boxes are duds

It’s happened a couple times as I’ve titrated upward that a higher dose box just didn’t seem to work. I think it happened at 7.5 and again at 12.5. When I step up a dose I’ve expected that first box to be rather effective and twice now that has not been the case. Strangely though the next box of the same dose got me back on track and my weight started to drop again after the 4 week pause. I’ve lost over 40 pounds - 222 down to about 180, 52 yo male, so I’m overall very happy with my progress but at almost $500 a box I’m curious why some seem to be duds.

Just starting my journey! So excited. Any advice for a newbie? (38F, SW: 216 lbs)

Hi everyone! My name is Emily, I'm 38 years old, and I am beyond excited to finally start my Zepbound journey. My starting weight is 216 lbs (98 kg) and I am feeling incredibly optimistic about what's ahead.

I’ve been reading a lot of your posts in this community and they are so inspiring! Since I'm just at the beginning, I would love to hear from you all:

  1. What advice or tips do you have for someone just starting out? (Whether it's about hydration, protein, managing expectations, etc.)
  2. What is your story? What led you to start taking Zepbound?

Thank you all in advance for sharing your experiences and advice. I'm so happy to be part of this community!

Started on Zep

So I started on Zepbound and did really well, my insurance decided they won’t cover Zep and moved me to Wegovy. Me and Wegovy didn’t get along very well so I got approved to go to monjouro. Been doing great now it’s time to put in my info again with IVIM to get a new script. They won’t put me in for monjouro because it’s for diabetes which I never did have. What the heck am I supposed to do now? Any help would be much appreciated. Maybe it’s time to leave IVIM, where else should I look? I’ve loved IVIM so this makes me sad but I don’t understand why they have allowed me on monjouro the last year and now saying no.

Clothing

I use to have the hardest time finding size 16-20 jeans when needed. Like 14 would be there... and 22 or 24, but never 16-20... i have went from size 20 at my largest to size 8 now. I went to look for jeans/shorts... not a single size 8 in the building... my first thought was "okay guys you can stop losing weight now.. freaking zepbound" in a funny, joking way, of course.

Even when I did find a size 8 they fit around the waist but I have loose skin in my legs and they just werent comfortable. The jeans material was too stiff, if that makes sense.

I dont want like jeggins... i want actual jeans with a little stretch in them. I like shape fitting but stretchy so I can move. My job is very high movement. Any suggestions?

I feel guilty

So I have sleep apnea (score of 25), and I have started CPAP therapy. I have been struggling with depression really badly for a long time. And finally started Spravato and it has been life changing. But it has also been so challenging to obtain it. I have had to fight tooth and nail with insurance when I was mentally unwell and quit my job to take care of myself. Medicaid wouldn't cover it because I did not take enough antidepressants in the past 12 months for at least 6 weeks. My insurance lapsed and I worked very hard to figure out how to make it work.

I got a sleep study I had been putting off for months. This was after my doctor tested my fasting insulin and it was 54. My A1C has been good and so has my blood sugar. But I tried Metformin for 6 months and it made me beyond sick. My GI symptoms were impacting my ability to work.

I asked about Zepbound as I had researched it

My doctor prescribed it. And then began the prior auths. The fresh one from Medicaid (my secondary) is that I have not had a sleep test (which is crazy because, like, I dId). And that I hadn't used cpap for 6 months (which is also weird because in reading their own requirements set by the drug utilization board, there is no 6 month minimums).

I feel guilty. I feel guilty making people do work for me and being a pain in their butts. But I want to feel better. I want to be able to have kids someday. I want ro be able to move and be active. Not climbing mountains or anything, but maybe going for hikes?

I feel like giving up. Because I feel like I am being selfish.

Might have to switch to ozempic

I'm just starting my second month on Zepbound and I lost 12 lbs already. My first month was a sample from Dr. My pharmacist gave me a deal for my second month for $47 but uncertain how he did that , he said he had some coupons or something and didn't mind doing it for a loyal customer. I don't want him taking a loss and not sure how long he could do it anyway.

Insurance denied me for Zepbound or any of the glp1s they don't cover them unless you have diabetes. But I can get ozempic free through my wifes work after buying the first prescription.

I wish I could afford to stay on Zepbound but I just can't. I know you have to stop one for a couple of weeks before starting the other but can I expect anywhere close to the same results?

Anyone have any experience with switching?

Has anyone dropped from Zep 10 - directly to 5.0?

This is my 2nd time trying zep 10 after going from 2.5, 5. 7.5. But it makes me very sick.

I have some 5.0 in the refrigerator and am thinking of just dropping down to that next week and keep it at a maintenance dose. (I don't have any 7.5 left). I'm about 10lbs from my goal, but its ok with me to just hold at this weight.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Thank you!!

Starting first dose 2.5mg zepbound

I have seen all the horror stories on the internet when first starting zepbound I guess my question would be when is a great time to start the injection night time or during day time. My husband is out of town for a couple of weeks for work and I’m solo parenting 2 toddlers. Is that a bad idea to start now ? Or should I wait for him to come home

Bad GI reaction after moving from 5mg to 7.5mg?

I’m 27 and on Zepbound. I did 1 month on 2.5mg, then 2 months on 5mg. I went from 220 to 200 lbs.
I increased to 7.5mg on Saturday, and by day 4 I had a rough GI episode: strong abdominal cramps, bloating, constant urgency, and repeated bowel movements over several hours.
Has anyone had this after moving to 7.5mg? Did it improve, or did you go back down to 5mg? Also, did changing injection site help at all?

Zepbound 12.5mg how to improve the weight loss

I started 2024 at 295 lbs, and as of today (6/30/2026), I’m 240 lbs. I’ve been stuck at 240 for a couple of months, and I’m looking for advice or supplement recommendations that could help restart my weight loss without increasing my dose to 15 mg, since that causes bad side effects.
