I cant add any videos so i will describe it in text.

When i first booted up my console about an hour ago, the Dpad worked and i could switch between the memory card section and the CD menu but after an hour when i plugged in my controller again, I couldnt use the dpad at all and could only go to the memory card section using the circle, x, square and triangle. I also tried pressing analog but the controller red light didnt turn on.

Is there any way to do so without soldering? If so, what do i have to do in order to play english discs on my PS1

I play Dr. Mario because i feel like he is the one with the most control among all the marios (and luigi). I would like to ask whether if i should use the second stick for tilt attacks or smash attacks.
