Gecko constantly climbing his background and restless- what do I do?
I've had my six-year-old male leopard gecko since he was a tiny baby, we've been through six breeding seasons together, and moved houses and I have never seen him act like this.
From the second he comes out after dusk until the second he goes back into his hide for the day he's literally climbing the walls and will not sit still.
Every time I put my hand into the enclosure he climbs my arm.
I thought maybe he wanted to be handled more, but no matter how much I handle him or for how long, he doesn't stop.
He's still eating and pooping normally, he lives in a 4x2x2 bioactive enclosure with a proper temperature gradient and proper humidity levels. He has six hides and several climbing opportunities.
Why is he doing this all of a sudden? Is he miserable? Should I take him to the vet?
