Handling open surgery alone and hospital is very dismissive about it
I've had an open surgery myomectomy on Tuesday morning and currently I am in hospital for the 3rd night. I need a DVR injections to avoid blood clots and found out yesterday night I'll need to take them home and inject myself with 4 more needles.
My problem is, I live alone and I do not have family and friends who can help me with this. I cannot handle needles and I even explained I am neurodivergent and there's things I cannot do and this is one of them.
I have asked my cousin's son to come picking me up tomorrow from hospital which is an 1h away and he said yes but I am hoping he will. My cousin do not live close to me and even if he did, he wouldn't help me. Hence why I asked his son to come pick me up but of course he can't help me with injections everyday night.
The doctors and nurses are very dismissive about my life. Is not my fault I don't have family and friends or people that care enough to take care of me. I can definitely reject the injections but there's a risk of course and I have to take it. They keep asking "no family and friends?" even after saying I do not have and is a very sensitive subject for me.
I know for some people this might be ridiculous but I just can't handle needles at all.
And being told I cannot get a nurse coming to my house because "I am young and fit".
Do people don't realise there's people who are lonely and have different life circumstances.....? π
