draingangs music is helping me through the worst grief i’ve had to experience
hello (and sorry if this is corny) ,
as you can see from the title, i’m currently experiencing a tremendous amount of grief and am also a pretty big drainer. one of my closest friends very recently passed away in an absolutely tragic accident. i have been struggling to eat, get out of bed, socialize, and it’s hard to describe what i’m feeling to the people that care about me.
one of the recent joys i’ve “discovered” to get me through this is music. i’ve listened to so much recently but the artists that have stuck specifically are bladee, ecco, thaiboy, and lean. i don’t know what it is about their music, but all 4 artists have the perfect balance of songs with emotions i’m feeling and can relate to, or need to feel to distract myself. my favorites recently have been “aaa powerline” by ecco and “legendary member” with all of them.
it is still unbearably hard, but music, along with the guidance of friends and family are truly saving my life right now. for the first time ever, i believe that music artists have genuinely saved my life and now understand people that have said that.
to anybody going through something similar, please know that you have so many people that care about you and that no matter how hard it is at first, it will get easier. maybe it’s a month, a year, or a decade, but it will get easier.
