E320 vs $200 good?

Honestly I'm trying to figure out of this is a good deal. I see different prices in this sub and other places for other machines, but unless I'm not looking in the right place (probably) I can't find a recommended price to buy the 320

My legs are cooked

This isn't really a question more of a complaint against myself.

Signed up for two classes one morning and one evening class in the same day. After my morning class I just felt really warm. Like right after a good warm up, but not quiet that burn after a good workout.

Decided to hike a 5k right after. This was a bad decision. I should have not done that. For the record I do a 5k at least 3 times a week on average, so it didn't sound crazy to me at the time. This is mostly because on average I try to walk 4 miles a day to get my steps in. I'm just sedentary most of my working day and this is the easiest way to get them in.

After my second class where we did jumps my legs felt like jelly. Will not be making that mistake again.

New best

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I've gotten my 5kish down to about 90 mins. If I'm reading the map and trail correctly its about 250-300 feet elevation per mile. When I started it took me almost 2 hours to do 2 miles. I really started this back in April I think. Unfortunately I didn't start tracking the actual date.

Idk if that's considered good for anyone else, but I'm happy about it. I'm kinda pumped to see how fast I can do 5k on a flat now.

Edit:More information. Also I started with saying I didn't know if this was any good.

I started hiking again to lose weight. I'm down 60 lbs since mid January. I want to lift weights, but trying to find the right gym in my area for me. I want a clean pool preferably indoors so I can keep swimming when it gets too cold. A lot of the decent gyms in my area closed theirs during covid and never opened them back up. I'm taking a dance class once a week. Might up this since I'm enjoying myself.

The park I go to is about 50/50 hikers and runners. There are enough trails you could probably spend most of the day there if you want. Also it's generally pretty hilly, but a little above sea level. I deal with humidity daily. Unfortunately the elevation gain is a lot of guess work between the posted maps and Google. I think my phone could track it if I can find the right app for it, but haven't bothered.

I tried to figure out what levels means and I found two responses. Elevation and heartbeat. I don't really track heartbeat. From what I've been reading I probably should.

Static vs dynamic issues

Idk how else to describe it. I can move through some basic positions relatively easily like holding various poses, but the moment I try to move I'm flailing about.

From talking with my teacher this morning they recommended I try to focus on the weight on the front of my food and not the heel, but this feels so weird. Tip toe sure I get that, but otherwise it just doesn't click. Is this normal? Any recommendations?

Having a hard time maintaining less than 1500

I am currently at a point where ifk what else I can do physically to burn more calories. I'm generally sedentary for work and I can only squeeze in so much activity outside of work. I've been plateaued for the last 2 weeks and it just seems like no matter what I do I am not getting any smaller. I'm just kind of annoyed about it and wanted to complain.

Say it with me. You have to take meds for them to work.

Had a bunch of stuff happen a couple of weeks ago and missed ordering my dose of Ajovy. I know there is a way to auto order, but due to some miscommunication I ended up needing to place the refill manually this month. Woke up and went to bed with a low level migraine. This morning it was awful. Also this morning I got my calander notification to schedule my next dosage. Idk what the actual half life of the medication is, but I'm definitely outside of that. I'm tired.

50 Lbs down

That's all I got. Been at it since January 12. It has been hard as hell, but still 50 lbs down. I also caveat with I weighed right after my workout which is when I normally weigh myself but I could probably drink some water, but the actual way in is 50.4, so I'm probably okay

First Class Finished

Warning for dyslexia. I tried to proof read, but I am doing this on mobile. Apologies if anything comes out weird. My goal for this post is to just put my ideas down and I figured if I am going to keep track might as well do it here.

Tldr: I liked it and will go again. Also I'm super uncoordinated. For anyone else.

Let's start with the fact I did not grow up dancing. At least not ballet and I was not into cheer, or dance in school. I did spend a small amount of time in country music dance halls and a lot of time in marching band. Moving to the beat is something I'm familiar with. At least the idea and concept. The idea that at any given beat I should be in a certain place. Nothing crazy so far. (If it helps I'm a saxophonist in general, but marched bari)

Why ballet? I mean why not? Flexibility and body control are definitely top reasons. Someone pointed out that ballet alone in an adult class might not be enough to gain more flexibility. Maybe not, but if I work workout in other ways I think ballet will show flaws and strengths pretty well.

Side stepping for a moment. I'm on a weight loss and health journey. Without getting into the specifics at the beginning of the year I had a rude wakeup call and I have been trying to get into shape. I've already lost a good deal of weight (at a steady pace and a safe amount) and I've gotten my daily activity way up.

Most of this has been hiking and walking. I think my goal is trail running and potentially long backpacking trips, but who knows. I used to do both growing up, but until recently haven't really done much.

Last point I promise. I'm a transwoman. Between age, I assume hormone changes, and a less active life style I'm just not as strong as I used to be. Something I have noticed as I have lost weight and worked out more is that I jusy don't move the same way. Chalk it up to any number of specific reasons or just in general without comparing notes to other women idk.

About the actual class. I got shoes, tights, a leotard, and dance skirt. From what I've read not strictly necessary to get everything, but I mean I jump feet first into most things. I felt so naked at first and ended up grabbing a t-shirt from my car.

Going through the different movements I get it though at least to a point. Like hold in everything and just let me focus on the moment. As for movement my God I was happy I understood some of the terms as I did look up some things, but reading and hearing them are different. In addition watching the instructor do them so smoothly was not helpful. Sure I knew what it was supposed to look like, but trying to copy them made feel so clumsy.

I definitely realized I'm stronger with my right foot in front with most of the positions and had a lack of control on my left. My hips and knees kept popping. Nothing painful just jarring. I kept having flashbacks to my high-school band instructor screaming shoulders down head up whenever the instructor mentioned mine. I realized that I do still have a some of my flexibility, but going from static to movement was so hard for me to remain stable.

Towards the end we did some jumps to put everything together and idk what it's called but we switched 5th position after each jump so that the other leg was in front. I almost face planted.

I think the biggest thing for me was to try and let myself relax into the motions. I started so stiff at the start. Still was probably stiff at the end too, but my instructor said as I did good for someone who hadn't taken a class before. I felt like I did terrible, but he was like don't forget ballet is hard. The 90ish mins passed by so fast. I was thinking we didn't do that much, but like no we really did. I was just so locked in I didn't realize. Now it's been a couple of hours and I'm sore. So sore. I'm excited to try again though. I will need to review terms though.

Finding a bag?

First apologies if this is not the right place for this sort of question. I'm looking for help trying to find a bag to hold all of my everyday needs, or potential ideas for organizing my everyday clutter.

When I go into office I have to take my computer supplies. Tablet dock and various computer accessories.

I'm an avid cross Stitcher and I want to carry bag project with me were I go, so that when I have free time I can work on my projects.

I carry a purse for well purse things. Keys, wallet, bobbin pins, makeup, hair ties and a small brush. In addition I wear scleral contacts, so I have my glasses, my sun glasses, two different eye drops, and my contact case. I also take cleaning solution.

I also generally need a change of clothes and a hat throughout my day.

My current solution is a backpack, a purse, and a project bag for my cross stitching. I'm sure this seems insane. Part of me feels like I should carry a duffle, but that seems even more cumbersome. Am I over thinking this? Probably. I think I'm part ranting too. Mods please delete if this doesn't seem like the right place.

New shoes and almost flying off the trail cant be normal?

Long story short I hiked and backpacked all through college 10+, but that was also 10+ years ago and while I'm not old per say I'm not as fit as I was.

At the beginning of the year I was super overweight and made the decision to get back into shape. I've lost a lot and hiking was the obvious extension of that process at least for me.

Again skipping over a lot of details but I picked up the Hoka Speedgoat 7 and while doing a downhill stretch I found myself wanting to run down the hill. Like that was just the motion that felt right. I found I just couldn't quite figure out how to slow down.

Ive used trail runner like shoes before but like super cheap shoes. My question for anyone who has insight and my apologies if this is common knowledge for everyone and I just missed it, I had a hard time telling if it was me being out of shape, me not using the right form, or just the shoes. Has anyone else had this problem?
