Blessed my Saint Pio and Saint Benedict medals

I finally blessed my two medals I got from the store and put them on a chain to wear, I just used holy water and just judge spiritual perfume. I also blessed my evil eye pendant today.

Rearranged again and I am burning some copal incense to cleanse the space.

I decided to put everything at the same level and removed the little book looking decor thing I had which had some statues more elevated.

My gums are swelling from starting to floss (I brush 2-3 times a day but added flossing to my routine today)

I wasn't really taught many basic things about hygiene and basic skills as a kid so I'm still learning as a teen now, and I saw that not flossing is bad for you so I decided to implement it in my daily teeth brushing routine (brush 2-3 times) soo. And my gums are now swelling up and there's a dull pain in my gums and I just followed a flossing tutorial on tiktok, should I be concerned? It's been a while since I've tried flossing so I'm just thinking it may be because it's new to my teeth but still I'm a bit worried. Anything to relieve it? And, will I be okay? I also want to know if it's fine to floss my teeth tomorrow or if I should wait until my gums calm down.

Thanks :)

Question about public school and re-enrollment

My mom missed the deadline to enter me into public school with my updated shots and such, is there any other times I can get entered in? She's saying we can in December but I'm still doubting that and am trying to get some help on this. When can you re-enroll a child back into public school? I would love any information on this. I live in the United States by the way.

My Santa Muerte altar

I've moved it since my last post and have added some more things. I really love it and just cleaned it up today and also bathed my statues in a spiritual bath.

My favorite saints to invoke before praying to Santa Muerte on the rosary are Divino Nino, the Virgin Mary (Both Guadalupe and Our Lady of Grace), Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Jude, and Saint Martin de Torres.

My spiritual bath I use to bathe statues is:

•Water (obviously)

•Florida water

•Just Judge spiritual cologne

•Dried orange bits

•Sometimes Sage

My mother's newest dog who's extremely loud just pooped everywhere 😭😭 God help me

I'm a teen who still lives with my mom and she's obsessed with dogs and I'm tired of it. She got her newest dog (number 5) recently and it is an absolute demon. I'm autistic so I like my quiet and like pleasant smells, dogs are the exact fucking opposite of that by every means possible. It also doesn't help that I'm allergic to dogs as well.

Well, I decided to walk out of my room and am greeted to the smell of crap and look over and that little demon has shit all over its cage and trailed it onto the carpet.

You could never pay me anything to have a dog in my life again once I am an adult and out of this house.

How the actual hell do people keep these animals? Obviously I don't fully hate nor wish harm on dogs but I do think they aren't the best pets and to me are just overwhelming.. Plus the dog breeding business is just so immoral and disgusting..

Just wanted to get this off my chest, this is an everyday thing I have to live with and it really stresses me out.

I'm so sorry to anyone else who has to live with this as well, we'll get out of it one day 🥹

Going to start abstaining from social media more

The title probably sounds very much like a monk LMAO but I couldn't find the right word so I just used abstaining.

I'm getting so tired of the blatant misinformation, drama, and stupidity on social media apps like tiktok (tiktok ESPECIALLY) and am going to start using it less. I will keep my account so I can occasionally go on and talk to my friends but other than that I won't need it unless I want to upload videos.

But yeah probably a great decision, tiktok has become more of an echo chamber than anything. Has anyone else noticed this? And I feel like tiktok especially, everyone on there only thinks in black and white and does not think outside the box nor logically. You either have to be on side A or side B and if you aren't you're suddenly a bad person because of some internet controversy with a random influencer or something.

It's just tiring to be on that app constantly so bye bye bad habit.

Is it normal I think this way or is it a coping mechanism?

I have had a childhood which I went through a good amount of abuse and I have noticed as I've gotten normal that the way I may cope with it is kinda weird.

To be honest, as I've gotten older I don't find the abuse as scary anymore, the manipulation from her is actually really entertaining to me now. As much as I do wish to get out of this house when I'm 18 I still enjoy the way my mom acts in a way because I've come to find it extremely funny more than scary now. And now I suddenly don't find being hit or yelled at frightening or as punishment anymore it's just funny to me. Whenever I look back on some traumatic memories I always just can't help but start laughing.

This manifests in other ways I think

Is this weird? I don't really understand why I do this?

My altar for Lughnasadh

Well, it was yesterday but still I'm practicing a bit late.

I lit an oil lamp, collected plants from my backyard, braided some pine branches, and used my passed on grandma's old jewelry box as a base for the shrine.

I'm not fully Irish but I do have a very mixed history which has both non-European and European ancestry, and I do love studying ancestor veneration and respectfully studying theology and religions. I hope I'm not being disrespectful by participating even if I'm not fully Irish and I'm mixed. I'm going to learn Irish language soon so I can connect with that side more.

Hope you all like it

Do other cultures with folk religion/Catholicism have a devilish folk saint?

In Mexico, you'll see depictions of Angelito Negro who is a popular saint and is associated with more darker themes of religion. Does Italian folk Catholicism specifically have any similar type of saint? And also, any other cultures have a similar figure who is popular?

My mother is being extremely stubborn about letting me go back to public school even though I'm behind (rant/vent and it's kinda long)

I just need to get this off my chest as I've been really stressed about this lately.

I have wanted to go back to public school and have been starting to put the idea out to my mother. When I suggested school a few days back she kept bringing up co-ops and college classes (mind you I'm so behind how am I even at a college level) claiming that it'll "match my intellectual level" mind you again I'm behind.. I'm a normal 15 y/o, what "intellectual" are we talking about because it for SURE is not me and if it is then I have a GENIUS evil damn twin out there. She also said that I could become friends with college kids again her claiming due to "intellectual level" which is dumb since if she's worried about my safety she'd know those are adults, and adults befriending minors/kids is extremely odd and can end up in grooming and SA, obviously not all adults are predators but still I rather be friends with my own age group and not take that risk. Pedophiles/predators aren't unheard of.

And it's just crazy to me how she'll claim public schools are "dangerous" yet neglect my education and also try and make me become friends with adults who could pose a threat to me. Right, okay.

I'll tell my mom's boyfriend I want to go back, as much as he gets on my nerves he never really liked homeschooling me so if he helps in some way then I'm open to talking to him flr a bit.

Also, on her talking about my "intellectual level" there is some context to that if you're confused. She has always claimed I'm extremely smart when in reality I was just an undiagnosed autistic child through half my childhood (I finally got diagnosed around 11 or 12) who had to mask a lot as my mom would punish me for stimming or anything. So, the only thing I could express which was autistic would be my hyperfixations, mostly on languages or studying other religions and so on. She's always used this "intelligence" as a way to elevate herself socially and use me as a pawn to better her reputation while letting me suffer in silence with many issues with my mental health such as suicidal thoughts and depression. All this homeschooling stuff is a way for her to control me and have a shining golden reputation, while for me it only has made me fall behind in my education and cause me mental health issues. I know it won't be like this forever and I will finally take a stand for myself and for my younger self. I can't let her control me anymore.

I was kinda tearing up while writing this, wow I've survived so much. I may delete this later though.

If you read this all thank you and I love you all stay safe and have an amazing day :)

(Sorry if my text is kinda awkwardly organized I'm trying my best at formatting my writing)

Wish me luck!

Prayer beads I made tonight

I love making rosaries and prayer beads, I made this one tonight. I saw these wooden beads at a craft store and knew immediately I must make something out of them and just put my mind to work, I'm not the best with knotting but it came out good. I was going to put an Orthodox cross charm but couldn't find it so I just resorted to this other charm.

Offered a bundle of dried herbs i collected to my ancestors tonight

I also had Tengri in mind but mostly ancestors.

It smells really good. It has regular green sage, purple basil, curry plant, and a little bit of mint. A lot of it was bits of my plants which had come off that i saved and dried. Nothing goes to waste when i find it lmao. Some of the leaves i also collected from the ground in a plant store as they'll just be thrown away anyway since they fell off the plants.

Planning on returning to public school. I am open to advice

(I'm a teen w autism, i have good social skills for the most part) I tend to be pretty good at masking and hiding autism.

I plan on going back to public school since I have not been back in years and I want to expend my social skills even more. I am really excited, the only thing I'm let down by is not having as much free time but oh well we have weekends for that LMAO

Does anyone have any tips? I am a bit worried that I may be behind educationally.

Wish me luck guys 🥹🥹

Does anyone else who is autistic just feel randomly very empty and sad for no reason on random days?

I think this may be something others relate to as I saw a video on tiktok of a neurodivergent person saying this feeling of depression or dread was something some neurodivergent people experience a lot (it had a name but I cannot remember the name).

But does anyone else ever feel like really sad, unsettled, or full of just dread on a random day and then the next day you're totally fine?

Just hoping to see if anyone else deals with this who is autistic or not.
