Just a reminder that good honest ADs are out there. Rare, but they are there. Most are scummy though.
Bought these all from AD at retail. Took a while to find a honest one but it’s worth it. Probably wasted my time with 5 or 6 scummy ones to find one that’s good.
The impossible happened - just a regular dude who got the call for his dream watch, the Le Mans!
Found my childhood stash of promos!
Anything especially interesting here outside the Island Togepi?
Hoping to find my non-promo stash at some point.
[Otsuka Lotec #5 Kai] Japanese indie watch
Really enjoying this on bracelet! Shown here is the #5 Kai — the finishing has an industrial look and the watch is surprisingly legible with the hour and minutes on the right side. I appreciate the running seconds wheel and domed sapphire crystal. At 22mm lugs the watch feels like a strap monster!
Bought the 60th Anniversary Bond Seamaster and swapped out mesh for the 5 link bracelet!
Bracelet was surprisingly pricey at $900 from OB but extremely comfortable and changes up the look a lot!
Help needed - my wife hates our cat
About 3 years ago my wife (then girlfriend) found our cat on the street - he was malnourished and very underweight, so a vet visit later confirmed he is diabetic, so I have since been giving him insulin shots with regular vet visits to make sure he stays healthy.
I love the little guy and try to give him the best life possible. I installed a kitty door for him so he gets to go in/out of the house to hang out in the yard. He never leaves the property so there is no risk of being run over - it’s been like this for 3 years, he just naps in the backyard then comes back in. However, recently my wife decided to start a garden in the planters the cat has been using as a litter box.
She is angry at the cat for peeing/pooping in the planter he’s been using for the past 3 years, saying that it’s killing her plants.
I have since purchased a robotic litter box (waiting for it to arrive) and she installed those squishy plastic spikes (pet friendly) around the planter to prevent him from doing his business there. He’s smart so he finds a way to dig around, which is causing my wife to break down and cry, calling him a pest.
I feel like she is pressuring me to give him up, which I don’t want to do as he is diabetic and older, so chances are he might get put down. I asked my wife to wait to see if he will start to use the litter box, but she starts crying and saying how she will never be able to garden because cat pee is unsafe for pregnant woman.
I’m quite frustrated and hoping someone here can help advise.
