How to avoid losing strength when classes are off?

Hi all!
I’ve been learning lyra for 4 months and I’m hopelessly addicted. It has done wonders for my mental and physical health.
So my issue is that I live in a remote place where there is only one teacher and she tends to run 2 semesters of classes in a year, each of 4 months, which means that classes are only for 8 months a year. We are nearing the end of a semester soon and I am worried about all the progress I have made. It may be at least 3 months before classes resume. I have been thinking a little about getting my own Lyra and practicing only things I’ve been taught & practices in class before. But I’m nervous and not sure if it’s a good idea. I really really don’t want to lose the skills and strength I have built though. Any suggestions?

Why has exploring kink become harder as we have grown closer?

My partner (30M) and I (30F) have been in a loving, communicative relationship for four years. Early in our relationship, I found it much easier to explore my playful, adventurous, and kinky side. As we’ve grown close (we are now living together, sharing more of our lives, and knowing each other deeply) I’ve actually found it harder to access that part of myself.

It feels like being so deeply known has made me more self-conscious. In the beginning, there was a sense of mystery that made it easier to experiment and take risks. Now, I worry about feeling embarrassed or awkward, even though my partner is kind, supportive, and never judgmental. We’ve talked about this openly, and he would love to explore this side of our relationship too, but neither of us has much experience or knows how to begin.

We have done some stuff like that online kink matching quiz, but a lot of the advice we find online feels generic and things like “try role play” or “use handcuffs” but it doesn’t explain how to build comfort or confidence and we don’t really know what to do with those things once we get them?
We’re less interested in specific acts and more interested in understanding how to reconnect with that adventurous side together. Are there books, exercises, or approaches that could help me and him let our freak side out?

TLDR: find it harder to be sexually adventurous now that my partner knows me so well. Looking for advice, books, or exercises that help long-term couples reconnect with that side of themselves

Any other Zillenials feel like their definition of "Fun" is in flux?

Between the ages of 28 - 30 I have experienced such a shift in what feels "fun" to me, in way where my old idea of fun has died but a new one hasn't replaced it and now I just feel like I lack fun in my life?

In my teens & early 20s it was drinking and partying and music, social scenes.
The era of YOLO.

Now, when I try to do any of those things, I just feel disconnected, sleepy, bored - it feels mundane.

I have a lot of hobbies & interests - aerial gymnastics, art, yoga, I really enjoy doing these things and they give me purpose/goals that I enjoy working towards but I wouldn't really call it "fun". Like i'm not waiting excitedly for the weekend to do these things, though i'm not at all unhappy to spend my weekend doing them.

I also feel like i've lost interest in social activities. I feel like I just go to a party, make mundane small talk, come away having not experienced anybody's true self, or anybody having experienced mine.

It feels kind of empty. Is this just what the 30s feel like?

How has your definition of fun changed, and what has replaced some of the things that used to be fun for you?
