Employers were in way too much of a rush to get back into work after Core 4. I feel during previous storms there was atleast an acknowledgement that yes a natural disaster just happened and people needed time to settle so they could check in with their families and clean up their homes

But this storm, it was like the employers knew when Core 4 would be announced before PDN even did, and they wanted everyone back on the clock as soon as 10am hit.

And that was super dangerous because even tho the storm was over, the roads still weren't clear and the major traffic lights were out with no crossing guards yet. I know some people got called into work but they just couldn't make it because there was stuff blocking their path.

I feel like next time, Guam should either hold off on declaring core 4 until most of the major roads are made safe or Employers should learn to wait a little longer instead of asking people to come in right away, cause otherwise that's just asking for an accident to happen

Does anyone know how I could get approved for credit card on my own on island?

My dad was against me getting one when I was younger cause he was afraid of the risks.

I'm older now and a bit better with money so I think I can handle it, but (with the help of my family) a lot of my old debts like my car loan have already been paid off..

Because of that, I don't have a credit score

I tried applying with FHB for the heritage card because they describe it as "good for building credit" but I got a letter in the mail saying I was rejected cause of my credit score (which I can't build without a card)

Is there a bank on island that would approve me without a credit score, or provide a secured credit card, or do I really just have to apply with an off-island bank?

The company im working for has a lot of old small value fixed assets that they haven't really kept track off. I'm writing up a new capitalization policy that would prevent us from adding any more new small value items.

I wondering, can I use this new capitalization policy to write off a lot of those old assets, even if we might still have them?

If so, we also have some assets below the new capitalization threshold that are still depreciating.

Should I wait until those assets are full depreciated before removing them or write off them off now and record it with a loss? (Even tho they haven't been sold?)

My dad was pretty against me getting a credit card when I was younger cause he was worried about the potential dangers of it and didn't want me falling into debt I couldn't handle.

I'm now a bit older and have gotten more comfortable with using my debit card and managing my spending, so I feel like I could handle a credit card. Also my girlfriend and I are planning to live together one day and she really believes both of us having good credit scores will really help us in finding a place.

I applied for a credit card online with my bank, specifically one that was described as good for building credit, but I keep getting rejected because EQUIFAX says I don't have a credit score?

But the reason I don't have a credit score is because I don't have a credit card? But now I can't get the credit card because I don't have a credit score?

Do I really need to take out loan and go into debt for me to get a credit card? And would that loan even get approved without a credit score??

The only real debt I've ever had was my car loan that I signed with my dad, but that got paid off years ago by now
