Interesting specs for 2025 William larue weller

Fascinating to read about 55 percent evaporation, 55 seconds of charring and 240 degrees cooking temperature

2025 William larue weller

Thought the specs sheet was pretty interesting. Never knew the details about cooking temperature nor the exact 55 secs of barrel charring.

Chinese studies

How are the Chinese Mandarin courses? Are they good at teaching conversation fluency?

Learning Mandarin

Just wondering whether usyd has a good degree course that teaches speaking and reading Mandarin? I am an alumnus and would prefer to do studies at usyd if it offers good teaching

Rye July

No dry July for me. Exploring rye whiskey. Starting with the low proof sazerac rye which I am finding surprisingly crushable and more ish.

Crimsafe door nsw

I have been quoted 1650 for a crimsafe door to go in front of this standard front door. Also 900 dollars in total for 2 crimsafe fixed panels on each side of door. Includes installation. Is that reasonable?

Whiskey blends

Sometimes I get bored when halfway through a bottle and decide to spice it up a little by mixing unusual combinations. Today I added 0.5 oz of ardbeg to 2 oz Woodford reserve double oaked. I somewhat enjoyed it. Does anyone else have their preferred unusual blends?

Taylor Tuesday Warehouse C

Was very pleased to add the Warehouse C to my little EHT family. Swapped a Pappy 15 for it.

Australian bourbon?

A friend brought this back from recent travels. Its quite tasty. No artificial sweet cloying. Has anyone tried it?

Crushable

Found this really refreshing after a long day. No alcohol burn. Much better than a beer for similar proof. I am motivated to try other ready to drink whisky refreshments.

Freedoms after FIRE

Having a whisky sour during brunch on a Tuesday is not something I would ever have done pre retirement. The complete freedom is what I really love about no work schedules.

Arafura rare earths

ARU has been a real let down. The long awaited FID was a sad fizzer with the price falling. The killer blow was an immediate capital raise at almost 20 percent discount causing the share price to plunge. Shares on issue almost doubled. Alarmingly, Gina has increased her holdings to 18 percent priming her to take it all at a cheap price once the building process begins to require more capital raises. Is there much hope for long term retail holders? Or will we be diluted to oblivion

A divided profession

At a time when our profession is under siege from government, Medicare, health funds and loss of scope to other health care groups, making front page news for fighting and discord undermines our standing in the community and increases our vulnerability.
