Saw these guys crossing the road in Jefferson County.

I saw this beauty along the Potomac River outside of Harpers Ferry, WV. It was a rainy day but that didnt stop him (?) from looking for fish. I took this picture myself, original content, from about 60 feet away.

This is the fifth box turtle I moved off the road in the past month. Turtles are on the move in West Virginia!

I spotted this from 100 yards away. Photos taken in West Virginia and are unedited. Any idea what it is?

I planted this fern over a year ago. Its one of the few plants in the fountain that the cats leave alone. A few weeks ago I noticed a tendril creeping around the back. Now its sprouted into another fern! And its shooting another rhizome which is sprouting.

This fuzzy beast was hanging on the side of a house today enjoying the view. Its about 4 inches across. House is in a wooded area.

I saw this on a hike near the Shenandoah River. I thought the white was mold, but its not. There was quite a bit of it near all the moss in that area. Any idea what it is?

I found this in a stream bed near Mt Rainier. I cut the tip off and polished it. The host rock is what makes it seem so dark as it is rather clear except for the marshmallow center.

Lots of crystalline structures inside. It was fun to polish.

These were found in WA and OR. I'm not sure if I want to cut into them so they are keeping the plants company.
