For some reason last night the YouTube algorithm decided to offer up a video on how to move a heavy safe down a flight of stairs and I acceded the offering. First thing I noticed was a Powell Peralta sticker on the safe.

Cool.

Then, part way in, they start talking about waxing the piano board (a new term for me) so it would slide down the steps.

Guy starts taking about skateboard wax and proceeds to put wax on a deck and truck then it cuts to him at skating park before returning to the process of moving the safe.

I’ve never been one to wax my deck or trucks, didn’t know that was a thing, I’ve always thought of the curb being the recipient of the wax.

Anyhow, was just interesting to see an older skater at his day job (we’ve all got one) using some of that skate knowledge.

Where do you look for reviews, any zines, blogs, podcasts, substacks, etc that review noise and noise adjacent music?

I'm trying to do more meal prepping so week night dinners are easier. I'm curious, if I'm going to make a bunch of rice and/or buy in bulk, what rice would you recommend?

Recently on this sub someone mentioned that the Wasp keyboard used by Whitehouse was modded by Chris Carter. I’m just looking for more info. Anyone know what those mods were? Thanks!

We’re an ADHD household. My daughter and my wife both have a hard time turning off their closet lights.

My daughter’s closet light has a pull chain. I tried using a motion activated bulb but I don’t think it was designed for such a small space. It didn’t work out.

My wife’s closet has a normal switch and an LED light.

Any ideas on what I can do so these lights aren’t on all the time?

I see that Killer Bug and Kazumoto Endo are both playing a fest in Montreal this summer.

I know Kuzumoto Endo used to do work under the name Killer Bug, I didn't know he brought that name back, guess I haven't been paying close enough attention.

First question: is there a difference between the work he does under his own name versus the work he does as Killer Bug?

second, and probably more important question: anyone know if there will be other dates in North America?

I would like to learn from folks who have experience with worm towers. Have you installed them in your garden? do they work well? are they worth the effort?
