Smosh reads reddit episode making me feel crazy

EDIT: Solved

Most recent episode is great but it's left me wondering if I'm going crazy 😂

I'm in Australia and don't know that many American stores, although obviously I've heard of Walmart. I listened to this a few days ago and I swear the guy said the dog costume was from "Party City" or "Party Hut" or something with "party" in the name. I distinctly remember thinking "oh that's cool, they have whole stores just for party stuff in America."

I listened again today and he says Walmart?!

I know Walmart. I wouldn't have had that thought if he'd said Walmart the first time.

Has the episode been changed in the last few days? Does anyone else remember the party store? Or am I having my own personal Mandela effect 😂

How do I break the news about Santa/tooth fairy etc to my kid without ruining her sense of magic?

Hey everyone.

Looking back, I don't know if I'd do the whole Santa and Tooth Fairy thing again if I had my time over as a mum. But at the same time, it's brought my girls so much excitement and wonder over the years that I can't say I regret it either.

My oldest is 9 and is getting to the age where she's starting to question things. She overheard my husband and me talking about the Tooth Fairy and became absolutely distraught. She was in tears because she thought it meant Santa and the Tooth Fairy weren't real. It honestly broke my heart.

For the past year she's been on a mission to catch all the present-giving creatures. She's stayed awake trying to catch a glimpse of them and has been determined to solve the mystery.

Once she'd calmed down, we had a conversation about how our beliefs shape our realities, and that something can be real from one person's perspective and not from another's, and vice versa. I then asked her what she wanted to believe. She said she wanted to believe those things were real.

That actually seemed to make sense to her. We talk about these sorts of ideas fairly often, so she seemed at peace with that answer.

My real concern isn't whether she believes in Santa or the Tooth Fairy forever. It's how to keep that sense of magic alive. I'm worried that if she decides Santa and the Tooth Fairy aren't real in the traditional sense, she'll make the leap that magic as a whole isn't real either. That would genuinely break my heart.

Has anyone else navigated this? How did your kids move through this stage while keeping that sense of wonder intact?

Psychedelic therapists- what do you do to keep occupied while clients are in a trip and don't need your active involvement?

Do you just sit there? Read a book? Take notes? Daydream? Come up with ideas for your next fan fiction novel?

I gamified UNf***cking my habitat- AND IT WORKS! Here are the rules.

Typical ADHD- I find it really difficult to not lose motivation mid UFing and have a tendency to leave more mess than I started with. A billion piles and nothing to show for it.

So I have created a little game that solves this problem for me. If you want to play here's how it goes.

The rules:

  1. Grab a carton/crate/laundry basket/box that you can carry easily with one hand against your hip.

  2. Pick a space you want to UF and start filling the basket with things that need to go elsewhere in the house. Any and all rooms- don't discriminate.

  3. When that box is as full as you can comfortably carry- pick it up and start walking through the house putting each item away.

The catch is that you're not allowed to put that basket down until it is completely empty.

You win the round when your basket is empty.

Rinse and repeat if motivated. If not- that's ok. You haven't left any ungodly piles in your wake.

MC pharmacy selling expired product

I've been buying carts through a particular pharmacy that is linked to my doctor. The carts I have been prescribed are out of date. I have to tick a box before I purchase them saying that I consent to buying expired product. There is no discount. Is this legal/normal? Will it work the same?

Does anyone know what time m*a*s*h would have aired in Sept 1990 in NSW?

Our family is trying to find out a time something happened in September of 1990 and it is remembered that MASH was on in the background. Any help would be appreciated

Husband was given the whole crates with our click and collect. Normal?

My husband came home after I asked him to drop by and pick up our click and collect. He walked in with 2 massive plastic crates. Apparently he forgot his bags and the lady said he can just keep the crates. I was stoked as they will come in handy but I've never heard of this before. Is there a reason she was happy to just give them to him? I'm not losing sleep over it. Just curious.
