Long term Ult 5 owner and 3 weeks owning the Extreme 5. My verdict is finally in, sorry if its too brief for the technical crowd I'm just a basic user who listen thur my Samsung Galaxy Tablets with EQ and Dolby Atmos on.

I find if you like vocals and softer music and like the sound to be open and spacious the ULT 5 is speaker for you. If you like feel the bass the Extreme 5 should be the one, its sound is more narrow.

My ULT 5 is the overall winner here, for the occasional Boom Boom Boom type music bring on the Extreme 5.

I live in Seattle and I often get completely mentally worn out by the traffic here, right now its my day off. A beautiful day near 80 tops and I am out of gas to deal with it. Its a long and narrow city and by the time I hit Downtown on my way North from South I am sick of it and want to go home. I've thought of moving to a bigger city that is mostly landlocked and easier to drive and thought of Cleveland for the big area and low prices for homes. I'm 57 and next city is retirement city and thats the end.

Best thing I like about Seattle is the Asian food and the occasional trip to Vancouver BC.

I am check to check, I have a 16 Altima SR with 68k, my collision insurance is 223 per six months with 1k deductible. So its 500 per years, I drive about 300 to 350 miles per month. Would it be worth it to drop the collision insurance and continue to drive like a old person? My other car that I take to work is a 07 CRV so thats how I keep the miles low per month.

My 07 CRV has one bad actuator at 105k. Is it bound to happen that I get more? If I am going to have the rest of the 3 go bad I am considering not replacing the part and just put all my work stuff in a bag and take it in and out of the car daily. I don't want to chase what is going to happen anyway. What do you think?

Picked up a open Box Extreme 5 at Best Buy for 243 dollars. Thought it was worth a gamble at that price and the store worker opened the box for me and tested it with my phone. Speaker was in mint shape.

I've gone thru these speakers before, some higher and bigger than the Extreme 5 that I ultimately sold or returned. Boombox 3, Hyperboom, Megaboom 3, Soundcore Motion Boom, XB43, Extreme 2 and 3 and a couple of Xking ones, Marshall Kilburn III which was horrible to say the least.

This along with the ULT 5 are the only one I knew was a keeper from the 1st day with it. JBL hit a major home run with this, it is nothing like my last exp with JBL which was the boombox 3. There is a clarity and power that to my ears the other JBLs I tried missed. I know the ULT5 has no bass and its true, I do however love how the ULT 5 can make it sound like the singer is in the same room as you, and its also a very open speaker. That Extreme 5 is way better with bass and with upbeat bass heavy songs than the ULT 5, its sounds like a reference speaker for that genre.

If anyone is on the fence about the Extreme 5 don't be it, A brilliant speaker from a picky ass person. I think JBL just upped another level with the 5.

Its been 2 weeks since I went into an office in an attempt for assistance for job seeking help. No replies, texts, nothing. I sent in a resume as requested.

Are they one of these grifting places in King County?

Had an issue with this office, constant taking jobs I took on JobStack app and finding out thru the grapevine they replaced me with manager's favorite people. The jobs that I got replaced are instant accept without prior approval and 1st come 1st serve. Its clearly against company policy to do this. I took a 5 day assignment and at the 6th hour of day 1 got 4 remaining days cancelled. I did nothing wrong at the job. I later found out at the job site my 4 days were offered to another worker. A co worker told me as I was leaving they offered the same 4 days to his friend. These are basic labor jobs where all you do is lift and move things so its not like we are trying new methods to put a man on the moon.

Now I am not seeing any jobs related to this office's work area. I think I got banned for reported the to corporate compliance hotline even though its suppose to be confidental,

What has your exp been with this temp agency?

Any suggestions on where to go to for t shirt helming at a reasonable costs where the helming does not cost more than the t shirt? For reference in Fed Way a tailor charges 18 to helm a hockey jersey but I'm in South Seattle and want someone closer.

The 480 done by Indy shop is OTD. When I heard local Nissan dealer wants 1k I did not even bother asking OTD.

Which one of these has better heel lock without baking which I don't want to do. Anyone tried on both? I am tired of making mistakes. Bought a Supreme Mach, terrible heel lock even in fit 1. Sold it for a big loss after 2 skates. Help.

Can find both at crazy clearance price but have to drive a good distance to try. Would like to get some knowledge before making the trip.

I bought a Ult 7 and still trying to get it to sound at medium levels in a small room as good as my Ult 5 which is the best sounding BT speaker I have ever heard. I am thinking of returning my ULT 7 and getting a 2nd Ult 5 to pair them.

Is there anyone else who think the ULT 5 for general listening sounds a bit better? Its separates music better and more foward and less veiled.

I'm still tuning the ULT 7 but after almost 2 days still can't find that sweet spot with the EQ.

I've read many comments on the ULT 5, its either a love it or hate it speaker.

Any tips to make the ULT 7 sound more reference like the ULT 5?

I got it a couple of days ago, I got my EQ settings perfect with the Sony app and than the next day the when I went to turn on the speaker it got zombied and just buzzed with the lights on and not usable. I exchanged it at Best Buy for another Ult 7 and now have not captured that magic sound I had with the EQ. I did not take a screen shot of my EQ, that perfect mix of bass and treble. I can say that my ULT 5 sounds more balanced right now.

Question is how many days or weeks did it take for you fellow ULT 7 owners to get it to sound perfect. I truly loved it and now I am tweaking like crazy.

Has anyone tried both on? I just bought the FT4 in intermediate size for 177 OTD on sideline swap. I still have a chance to get the FT6 for 277 OTD also intermediate size, thinking about it since skates have gone up a lot and 277 OTD is not much at all for higher end skates. Is the reg width in both pretty much the same.?

Both are new with step steel.

I have stopped doing a side job as a junk hauler, I find customers will put sharp objects or glass in garbage bags and there is a chance of cutting yourself it if the object tears the bag and you are not aware of this while carrying it or tossing it.

Why don't people have common sense and put sharp objects aside to protect the junk haulers.

I find the risk of an injury from junk hauling to be more than other side hustle jobs.
