So not an illness but does anyone else break out into song, sometimes just to yourself, when you hear a key phase from our younger days?

Let’s see if you’re mind songs these:

“Risin’ up, back on the streets, took my time, took my chances”

Sports movies are often a great genre for story telling. There’s a satisfying victory (usually) at the end and some type of journey of development. Real heartbreak or loss before final triumph.

So what are your favorites for basketball, baseball, football, track, etc?

Here are my favorites by sport:

Basketball = Hoosiers.

Football = Little Giants.

Soccer = Victory

Baseball = The Sandlot

Boxing = Rocky

What else you got?

So there is a (now decades old) concept where you design a flat plate concrete structure where they put plastic balls in the middle a two way slab. Basically you can design a 16” slab that weighs as much as a 9” slab that has the strength of the 16” slab.

So has anyone here actually designed one, or is this one of those ‘cute in theory’ systems that never makes it past concept?
