How can you change the performance indicator on mod vehicles?

All cars I have converted have a performance indicator at 9.9 whether it's a slow BMW 2002 or a fast 935/80. 9.9

I've seen in the .json file there's a number for performance indicator and I tried to edit it. It did nothing.

Has anyone cracked this nut?

You are given a golden ticket- what do you do with it?

imagine someone gives you a ticket to see any concert anywhere in the world, any time in the past 56 years- dead or alive. From 1970 to present day- anyone, any band. Your pick.

And you choose a modern day boy band. Not a ultra cool, talented band that rocked out in past years. Not some virtuoso with an amazing voice with a string of hits. A generic boy band.

That's what GT3 in Sim racing is. 💩

AMS2 Sebring is one of the best tracks in the game

Not only have Reiza fixed the cut track warnings that used to be a problem at Sebring near pit lane, but the AI here is awesome. Some tracks are better than others and Sebring is peak AMS2 AI.

Also, as has always been the case, this is the most accurate version in any game I've ever played. The bumps (esp in Sunset) are brutal, and they got all the other bumps Sebring is known for too. The layout is spot on. This is a no-holds-barred raw version without any smoothing to make it more friendly. I love it- what a track!

This gas got to be the most obnoxious graphic in the history of racing broadcasting

I was watching qualifying and this atrocity started coming up. Sector splits in a new, annoying and jarring display! This has got to go

Is anyone interested in a Sunday 60s-70s cars modded content race series and Cars & Coffee?

This would be a fun race series and every week we could evaluate and race a different car. I have converted 60s and 70s cars using freely available tools and AC1 mods. Anyone could do exactly what I did for free. The tool is Evoforge.

I just got motivated and converted a bunch of cars (of varying quality it must be said) I have in my AC1 folder. The quality varies from pretty good to looks like garbage but drives great. Audio is not accurate to the real cars but they all go vroom vroom. I've spent all day weeding out the really bad ones, but they need more testing so we'll do a couple of cars & coffees and cull the herd even more.

Evoforge question - how to get the cars in an AI race?

I have converted some cars for personal use and I want to use them for AI racing. But I can't set them up when I put a race together offline. I know how to do this for official content cars, but the Evoforge cars don't even show up as an option.

If I set up a race for single make, it won't even do that. Only my car is on the grid.

Is this possible or is there something I'm missing?

Small issue I wanted to share in case anyone else has this

P1000 with HBP on brake and throttle pedals in a GT Omega rig with Simsonn VAMPro reactors bolted to the seat. Moza R9 wheelbase.

After I do a race I record it and upload it to YT to see what I can do better or see if there are any issues going on. This issue has actually been going on for at least a month but I didn't catch it until I was watching the onboard of this offline AMS2 Diablo race at Jerez 88. In several older videos, upon review, had this issue too. What I uploaded is my potato phone recording the screen so you can see the problem.

https://youtu.be/4tCFlNVVDlw?is=y1dww79SN2UmrH\_I if you're bored and your life is dull 🤣 watch me go 'round in circles

My braking trace looks like I have Parkinson's. The throttle trace is nice and smooth, but the brake trace bounces up and down about 5% or so. Not the worst problem in the world, but in sim racing we're all constantly striving for better. Watch the video and you'll see how jittery the brake input is.

it turned out to be EMI from the VAMPro reactors on my seat. Watch your brake trace in-game, it won't show up in the Simagic software. SimHub actually has a nice graph display from Ace, so you get a better look, but my brake trace was good enough (it's part of the new HUD).

To solve it, I plugged the VAMPro box into a different ppwer outlet. Then I plugged the USB cable directly into my PC (it was in a powered USB hub before) and plugged the pedals into the powered USB hub (I just did the ole' switch-a-roo).

Now the problem is gone. I hope that helps someone down the line

Dino steering wheel feels physically different for a different feel to the car

Try a different material for your next steering wheel. It makes the car unique and feel different

Dino steering wheel

On eBay I found this Dino steering wheel. It's new old stock- from the 90s, but still had the plastic protector on it. It was super cheap because the dude just wanted to get rid of them- he has a lot of them but no storage space. He's in the US if anyone is interested he tried to get me to buy all the rest LOL

I thought it was leather. It's not. I need to.learn to read the description of stuff! That said, I'm glad it's not, I already have leather steering wheels and this one is different. It's rubberized. Weird. But I wanted a Dino for my ever growing collection of different sim racing steering wheels.

I slapped a QR on it and a couple of buttons. The spacing is odd and the 6 holes are oriented differently than my other wheels. This thing is just an oddball. I just say it's got "Italian styling".

The thing that's really cool about this, is that all my other wheels are either leather or suede This is the first that's something different. It's my wheel for the AMS2 Lambo Diablo now. It has a unique kind of tacky tactile feel that is different from all my other wheels which changes the physical feel of that car in the real world and so in the game too. When I drive the Diablo now, it not only drives differently from other cars (which it did before) but it also feels different in my hand.

TL;DR Try different materials when you make your next steering wheel! It changes the car.

Let's figure out when to use slicks or wets or inters for a race

I race offline and I use real weather. It adds a level of depth to the racing that I really appreciate and enjoy. But one thing that drives me out of my mind is that it impossible to look at the track and figure out if I should be on wets or slicks.

I had a race a few days ago and it was 40% rain, the track was very wet, spray everywhere and it was raining pretty hard (but no puddles yet). There was a drying line in some places but it was not even close to dry. Just drier than the rest of the track. I started on inters (05 GT2) and at the pitstop switched to wets and after just bled time. That was a bad choice.

So at what point do you choose wets or slicks or inters? In the screenshot above, the track was moist so I started on slicks, the AI choose wets and pitted after 1 lap for slicks 🙄 even the AI doesn't know what to choose!

Thank you, Reiza, for Hungaroring

Before this track came out in AMS2, I only had a handful of laps here on other sims. I never bothered to actually work the track up and do a full race weekend. Now I know this track like the back of my hand because I've done several race weekends here against AI. I really like Hungaroring!

It's made watching F1 this weekend (fre practice) that much more enjoyable. When they talk about the difference corners (esp. the final corner) I'm like yeah, me too! I know exactly where they are in every shot and knowing every camber, every corner and every curb really adds to the enjoyment of watching this.

I looking forward to quali and race that much more 😊 TY Reiza

Group C & Monza weirdness

I usually use the leaderboard times to set the AI difficulty. I set the difficulty to a level where the best AI run the same quali times as the best leaderboard times. This has worked with every other car/track combo except Group C and Monza.

Practice lap times (offline practice session) for me and the AI are much FASTER than the Leaderboard times. But if I run a session on the Leaderboard, I'm around 3-4 seconds (not tenths) slower than my practice times. Leaderboard times are supposed to be faster because it's optimal conditions.

I'm using the 962C. It makes no sense and with other cars (I do leaderboard with Group 5 and GTR1 usually) my leaderboard lap times are always a lot faster than my practice times (like you'd expect)

Has anyone else experienced this?

Are the tracks going to include what ACC has or will they expand the list?

This is a list of the cars in ACC. it looks like they are going down that list so far. There are no new tracks in Evo. Correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't seen anything for a track list for Evo and so far it's been hit-or-miss quality. But has anyone seen anything about what the plans for Evo are track-wise?

Getting an error in older cars about steering wheel not having enough angle

This is a new error. I hopped on a server with the Lancia Integrale and the game gave an error message saying that my steering wheel didn't have enough steering angle. I got a similar message in an Alfa 75 before this on another server.

I have my angle set to 900 in Moza pit house and in-game it's at 900 also which used to change the steered angle to match the car.

Is there a way to fix this? The game still let me drive so it's kind of a non-issue.

What does AC Evo have for cheat protection

I'm just curious if Evo has any sort of cheat protection other than the basic file file size checking they have in the latest patch.

I have the feeling that the answer is none at all, but I'm curious.

Awesome AI racing at Kyalami GTS 73 mod

This clip is from a 1 hour race at Kyalami using the GTS 73 mod, I was driving a 240 Z. This is with patch version 1.6.9.8, Medium aggression, 100 AI difficulty IIRC

Sometimes AMS2 gets the AI perfect. This is from just after pit stops, some AI had pitted some hadn't and I was on my second lap out my tires were just starting to grip up. The AI tires grip up much faster than player tires and my pit entry was slow so I was in traffic after the stop.

I don't know what the crackhead driving the #6 Penske Porsche was doing, there was no contact. The Captain won't be happy having the fix that RSR!

To those who had a bad AI experience post patch- Is the AI better after the hotfix?

The last patch had very mixed opinions on how good the AI is inany corners of Reddit and Diacord. I'm seeing the same from youtubers too. I reverted back to the last patch version myself.

So those who had some issues with the patch AI- Did the hotfix do anything to make AI better? The patch notes mentioned some AI fixes but I don't know if it made a difference for you.

If you are having a good time with AI and the patch worked well for you- I'm glad, and that's a good thing FOR YOU. However I'm more interested in those who, for whatever reason, had a less than great experience after the patch.

How do you set AI strength?

Adaptive AI wasn't really doing it for me. In several Group 5 races the AAI was over 1 second faster than the fastest Leaderboard times. In race trim. So I'm going back to % for AI strength. But damn, the AI is really fast and at 100% they are MUCH faster than the Leaderboard times. So I have to dial it back to 94% (GTR1 now) for the AI to be on par with the fastest Leaderboard times. In practice trim with other cars on track, so in Leaderboard trim that would be much faster.

How do you balance the AI difficulty? I run practice sessions and adjust the AI difficulty until the top AI run similar times to the top of the Leaderboard at that track and class combo. What's your method?

How's the AI in 0.8?

I've always found the AI to be very slow even at max difficulty. They also have been kind of oblivious just running laps and keeping out of the way. Is it any better in 0.8? Has Kunos worked on AI at all?
