Current best way to mod bg3 in your opinion?

Haven't played in a while, and want to do a playthrough soon, and I always use a few mods. What is the current situation about modManager vs inGame (mod.io was it?)

I want to hear your opinions on the whole thing, but also maybe a personal recommendation?

I am not looking for much, just the usual: better camera, tweaks, I want a turn on/off godmode (hate resetting), lvl 20 and some extra spells. But I also want a few outfits that I just pop on at the start of the run and keep on....

If you liked Darling in the Franxx, watch Kiznaivers. And vice versa!

(Before I continue, I have seen that online this show has some mixed opinions. It has an above average score, but not anything crazy. If you don't like the show that is fine, I just want to share my experience, because I believe that to a certain group of people, this show is a literal hidden gem)

I have put it off watching this series for a long time, because the synopsis intrigued me so much, and I thought that there is no way that the anime can top that, or even come close. Well I was very wrong.

Finished the show in two nights, even though I dug into my tight sleep schedule. And let me say this, my heart was POUNDING after each episode. Sometimes it was the good kind, and sometimes it was the bad kind, but this anime made me feel emotions that I haven't felt in a very long time.

(I will try to keep it spoiler free at all costs, but if you have watched DitF and think deeply about what I say, you may come to conclusions that lead to spoilers. So either be ware, or don't think too deeply)

I don't even know where to start, and I am bad with words, so this is going to be a complete mess. Animation - amazing, the trigger special, wrapped in an emotional shell instead of the more usual action one. Music, and honestly the overall sound design, just perfect, each time something big happens you can almost feel it yourself through the sound effects. The cast, very alive - I usually hate the bubbly/loud/overly friendly characters, but even Nico was amazing.

And the story, it is hard to talk about it without getting into spoilers. And I have seen that to some people, it is not anywhere as good as it seems to me, or at least the latter half is. But personally, the story was just perfect. I can't put it into words, because it can come into spoiler territory, and also if I voice them out loud, somebody in the comments will jump in just to go against me. (seriously, every post on reddit/mal about this show has so many of these comments)

And that is where Darling in the Franxx comes in. I won't talk about the things that are similar or different in terms of the plot itself, but just the vibe and direction of the story hit the very same notes. So if you liked DitF (last arc included, or not) please try Kiznaivers, you will love it just as much as the first show, maybe even more.

Darling in the Franxx was the first anime I ever watched. I got into it because I liked gatcha games, and saw Zero Two all over social media, and decided to try this new medium that I heard a lot about. And just in a single night, I couldn't stop. I finished the anime in 3 evenings, balled my eyes out, and then rewatched the show 4 more times in a row, before going anywhere past it (after, it was Bunny Girl Senpai). Now I have watched over 500 different anime, loved many, watched objectively better shows, but the feeling that I got the first time I watched anime is very rare, and Kizanaivers delivered on it and more.

(slight mini mini spoilers for Kizanaiver if you think about it, and the same for Darling in the Franxx the other way around)

Apart from me discovering a new medium, there was one thing that made me fall in love with DitF. I don't know what to call it exactly, but if you have watched it, you will probably understand why in my head I call it "Lovers against the world" type of romance. I won't go into the plot, maybe out of the 13 people who will see this post, somehow one of them will watch this show for the first time, but this "type" of romance is so insanely rare in anime, that even though it is my absolute favorite, I can barely name any anime that have it. And that is why I like loved Kizanaivers as much as I did.

If you somehow read this whole vomit pit of words, and have watched and liked Darling in the Franxx, or even just got interested in the show from my blabbering, please watch Kizanaivers. It is only 12 episodes, the ed in every episode is amazing, you will have a good time, and maybe even find a new top 10 show for yourself. Episode 9 is honestly in my top 10 greatest episodes in all of anime.

The reason I wanted to make this post, is partly because I wanted to talk about the show in general, because while I have friends, I can't talk to them about this sort of thing. But apart from that, when I read the reviews and discussion threads about this show, I got super sad. Every anime has haters, and almost always I can at least somewhat understand where they are coming from, but this time, I really think that we just watched different shows. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the comments this post gets (so 4 out of 6 total) will be going against what I said, be it because they simply want to share their opinions, or because they want to be dicks about it because it is much easier to say something negative, than something positive. If you have watched the show and liked it, I would love to talk to you about it, if you haven't seen it but got even 1% interested, please just go and watch it.

How do you start a new rp? Especially one that has the potential to top your previous one?

(sorry if this isn't the best subreddit, idk where else to post about AI rp)

I had very nice fantasy/power fantasy rp, went for quite a while, had npc companions with distinct personalities. It was great.

But now I am at a point where the context is quite high (even with summaries and stuff, unless I abandom some parts, it is getting pretty big) and also, I don't know where to take it.

I used ds4 pro, no preset, but past few times tried the Megumin preset (didn't see THAT much of a difference, but I love the distinct character dialogue colors), and it is starting to get stale. Unless I come up with something exceptional (I am bad at writting, so this is rare) I am getting very much of the same stuff.

I had literally a 3 week period (SO is away on a longer trip) where I did the rp for maybe 3-6 hours each night. Now each evening I want to continue, but I just don't think that it will be good and I just do something else. And I am reluctant to start over, because I don't want to lose it...

Anyone experienced this? Any ideas how to "combat" it?

I kind of shot myself in the foot, because my rp is basically an omniscient being mentoring a group of 4 adventures. I am bad at writting, and the AI is kind of bad at doing op characters (I think?), so unless there is major input from me, the AI defaults to a very patterny adventure.

(whatever I do, the OP/power fantasy is the only thing I won't do without)

Would you try to continue or start over? Same cast, or try to create something new?

Literally any inputs or thoughts are appreciated!

Favorite online models for the price?

To start, sorry if I say something incorrectly. I started using ST about 3 weeks ago, started on a local model (7-9b) and it was actually better than I thought, but my laptop was making scary noises so I decided to stop. Then I tried OpenRouter for a few days, and it was... bad. My usage is at peak times, and I got more errors for wait time than replies.

Then I saw that DeepSeek v4 pro is like on permament discount, so I decided to try it, and omg it was so amazing, and so cheap! I put in 2eu like a week and a half ago, had a pretty chill week at work so I used ST for like 4-8h a day, and I still haven't ran out!

(I usually really hate subscribtions/pay per use stuff, and my budget is quite low)

(My usage is like 30% nsfw, the rest some dnd style simplified rp)

But either the honeymoon phase is over, or something happened to the model (I saw a few posts talking about it?), but my responses keep getting more and more predictable. Is that always the case with such models? (Also, much harder to get the bot to do good nsfw stuff)

Sorry for the long intro, what I wanted to ask, how do other models compare to DSv4Pro in price, quality, and availability (apart from using it at peak china times (where I felt the dip in quality), I had 0 problems with it)

I keep seeing people talk and even review models on here, but I barely understand the differences when they post the replies and stuff.

Is DeepSeek just dirt cheap compared to others? Or can I also put in 2eu in them, try them out, and also do it for a while before running out?

Sorry for the bad post, any replies or tips are appreciated!!!

Just pull that Nicole while you still can

"Oh but she is a sidegrade or even a downgrade to many teams", yes that is true.

But you know what else is a downgrade, waiting 3 seconds for that extra bennet e because you didn't funnel particles into him correctly, and now your next rotation will have the same issue. Or just don't have enough er in general.

You know what also is a dps loss? You having the bennet buff only for 1/3 of your dps uptime because the enemy ran to the other side of the field.

What else? Having everything you need be on a skill and not ultimate. A literal child can build Nicole. Farm the new the new 10 times to get Sand, Goblet and Circlet on ATK% main stats, roll a few flowers and feather to get at least 2-3 ATK% rolls, and for the remaining piece just slap a piece from any set with the highest ATK%. Do this, and you are 90% of the way there, or at 100% if you have sig or just Skyward Atlas. If you know what a rotation is, but don't know what swirl is, put her on TToDS and switch from her to your dps.

Literally 99% of player don't have bennet built. They give him Aquila or Sapwood and then have him on 180% er, and just because the first Arlecchino attack has a bigger number, they forget (or just don't know) that it doesn't mean anything if you spend 3 extra seconds each rotation.

This post is of course not meant for everyone. If you know how to do Mavuika combos, or understand that every pre 4.0 dps is better in a wheelchair comp, then you are already know everything that was said here. But if you ever called yourself a "story main", or don't touch abyss, or have no idea what SO is, just get Nicole and see how that "downgrade" character that you heard on every guide, somehow makes you clear artifact domains in half the time.

Pick me a modpack to start

Been pretty down lately, want to try and mask that with a modded mc playthrough.

Recommend me anything, this evening when I get on, (if there are any comments) I will pick the most upvoted comment and try it, no questions asked.

Below are some stuff about me if you want to recommend based on that, but you also can just recommend something that you like right now, or want me to play to play a prank on me. Everything goes!

Some random things about me:

This would definitely be a solo playthrough

Love modded mc, but in general I haven't played THAT much of it.

^^ is mostly because I am bad at completing them. I usually have a few days of like 5-8 hours of playtime (especially weekends) and then one I just dont log in no more.

I don't like complicated mc stuff, especially custom recipes for simple things.

I am bad at the hard tech and/or magic stuff.

Usually play kitchen sink, atm and similar modpacks.

Mid range pc (this might be a hard requierment if your suggestion doesn't run on my laptop. Ryzen 7 5800H, 3060 (portable), 16gb or ram)

Decision for pulling weapons on different teams

Anyone can eyeball which is better?

Or maybe it is obvious?

Lucillia, Hiyuki s0r1

Denia, Aemeth s1r1

Chisa s0r1 or Shorekeeper for the last slots, switching on occasion

Whose weapon is more meaningful, Lucillia or Denia?

Since they are from the same company, can somebody explain PGR in wuwa terms?

I am super interested in the animations and just the overall spectacle of pgr, but I have tried multiple times to get into a game, and I feel like when I see an edit on tiktok of some gameplay, and when I try to play myself, there is a huge gap.... in just everything.

I understand that the started character will always be more boring and less flashy than the current released characters (I just saw gameplay of "alpha", or some form of her for june 2?), but like the gap is so insanely high, with not knowledge of the game I feel like I won't be able to make it through the start of the game until the point where I start to enjoy it...

Can somebody give like a tldr of pgr? How is the character progression, pull generosity, powercreep, stuff like that?

I heard people say that "it is just a match 3" game, is that even remotely true? I have played for like a few hours just skipping and blasting the story, but I barely saw/understood the core gameplay...

Why I am making this post....? The gameplay of new characters is just insane, WHEN I see it edits online, but when I try to play I get super dissapointed.

Currently I am playing 5 gatcha games in the endgame, I love them, 100% all of them while having a decent life, I think I could fit one more in, but I want to know more about the game

Her EN VA is doing such an amazing job, and on top of that, her whole character personality is (at least for me) the very essence of ZZZ. Super funny, but can get serious when it needs be.

And omg her fuckass voice lines when eating food or being scared... Peak

Edit: Yes yes. She doesn't have to be in every second of every frame of every quest. But I hope that she at least stays with of us for a while even if she isn't the main focus. The past few quests were great on their own, but Cissia made them go to 110% and I love her for that.
